Part One: The Intro, and Nothing More

Hello, Snickerdoodle Hamster here once more! Today I will be liveblogging another episode of Pooh's Adventures, in loving memory of Ken Sansom (who voiced Rabbit in many Winnie the Pooh movies and cartoons). Wait, why would I watch this awful crossover in the first place?

Anyway, the episode I will be liveblogging this time around is Pooh's Adventures of Pajama Sam (specifically, the first game, Pajama Sam in No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside). It's actually called Winnie the Pooh meets Pajama Sam, but I like to keep it simple. In case you don't know, Pajama Sam was a series of point-and-click adventure games for young children made by Humongous Entertainment (now a division of Atari). It starred Sam, a blue human-like character who would pretend to be a superhero and go on adventures. These would often involve Sam learning life lessons, like not fearing anything, eating healthy, and cleaning up his room. It's MUCH Better Than It Sounds.

Anyways, let's rip this bad boy open! I have never watched this before, so this should be fun to riff!

Part One out of... FOURTEEN?!? No. Just no.

We start with the logos for both Disney AND Humongous Entertainment. How subtle. They are followed by homemade logo for "Reese1567 Productions", which is nothing but a picture of the creator with a subtitle. Next comes the intro from the "Spookable Pooh" VHS from the late nineties, being poorly edited to read "a Winnie the Pooh/Super Hero Adventure". By the way, you can still see the original subtitle quite clearly. Next, we get the intro to The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (which keeps changing video and audio quality for some strange reason). And, because this is Pooh's Adventures, we get a first look at our "guest stars". Let's see, we have Ash Ketchum from Pokémon, Ronald McDonald, Mike & Sully, Arthur, Simba, Timon & Pumbaa, Ttark, Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley. The intro is almost over, and it seems like they can not fit any more characters, right? WRONG! As the intro is about to end, we cut away to this:

Mordecai and Rigby: OOOOHHHH! Not settin' up the chairs next time! Not settin' up the chairs next time! Uh!

What the heck just happened? Back to the video, the intro ends. We open to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Pooh and his friends are preparing for the play. Wait, wasn't this from the episode where they did that play where Piglet was the sheriff? The unfunny punchline? This is used in almost every episode of Pooh's Adventures. You would wonder if Piglet knew what they were doing (which he doesn't), because they basically do the exact same thing in most of these videos. But seriously, why does he keep asking what's going on at the beginning of all of these videos? Is he prone to some severe form of amnesia? And how did Mordecai and Rigby of all characters get invited to this so-called play? Anyway, Christopher Robin introduces the "play." You have got to love the poster he shows us. It's the original cover art, with some poorly pasted red text, which makes it read "Winnie the Pooh meets Pajama Sam in No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside". It's official, They Just Didn't Care at this point.

The video ends with the Episode Title Card.

When will the crossover start? Find out next time!

You just have to marvel at these Pooh Adventure vids. They're almost Zen in that it must have taken so much time and effort to splice all this footage together, and yet the end result shows a complete LACK of effort.
