Day Nineteen

Well, this is it. Finally, after 18 days of training involving going to the jungle once and dying within 5 seconds and somehow destroying the Almighty Ghost's Clock, I feel good enough to go and actually try to find the MacGuffin or something. And I will. Well, here goes.

I start in a small room in a bit larger area, ahead of me a bland tunnel. I head forwards and break a pot. Strange, why would there be pots in this deserted cave? I don't SEE any civilization. Anyways, in the pot was a gold nugget, worth $1,000. I quickly pick it up. Further ahead is the edge of the short tunnel; a skeleton under... is that an arrow trap? I feel like Indiana Jones with this proof of civilization everywhere! Not wanting to be shot, I throw the skull into the range of the arrow trap. As I thought, the arrow goes off. But two things here, I don't think I should be disturbing these skeletons, and did the ancient cave dwellers have motion sensing technology? Grabbing a stack of three gold bars ahead ($2,600) and a gold speck with them ($500), I notice a little space above. I didn't want to waste a rope getting up those three spaces, there was probably just a gold bar and a snake in there anyways. Hopping over a bump, I encounter a much more spaceous area... How about I draw it?

After dropping down to the ledges on the right to grab the gold, I accidentally land on the snake and crush it's skull, killing it. Luckily it's head was bouncy enough to get me up to the gold. I head to the alcove on the left below the entrance, but while I do, I accidentally drop one of my 4 bombs down the chasm, exploding somewhere I can't see. Entering it, I hear a womanly scream. Is there a damsel in distress somewhere in this cave? I find a ladder hooked up to the cave wall (Why is this there? It looks so modern, how could these ancient people build it? and descend it, finding a gold speck.

At the bottom of the ladder, I see the damsel. She's blonde, dressed in a red gown. Was she at a party when an earthquake happened and she fell down while the ground sealed back up above her? She seems to have received amnesia for her great fall. So, I decided to name her. Or rather, I can't, because I'm incredibly uncreative. So, I'll call my friends for a suggestion forher name. And I guess that ends the day.

You receive a call on your cellphone.

Hey, it's me, Spelunker. (How do they get reception down here? Dang cave dwellers. They're like nazis.) I just encountered a girl with amnesia, what should I name her?

A pity about your accident, Spelunker. Be aware that the members of C.U.L.I. are thankful that your life was not lost in the mishap. As for apparrel opinions, while we encourage that all labrynthe investigators should have a distinct look of their own choosing, we can all agree that a cape would look downright smashing on you. Now, we admit that it is oddly expensive, and it might be better to save up your resources in case this Hor fellow set up multiple establishments. But perhaps you will be able to utilize it for more than fashionable purposes; it could save yourself from a long drop straight into an arrow trap, for example.

And with that, we bid you farewell for now. Remember not to lollygag and rely on us forever, of course; we wouldn't want another cave-in occurring while you're busy telecommunicating!
