I sincerely apologize for not commenting earlier. Final Fantasy IX is by far my favourite of the Playstation-era games, and while it may not be perfect, there's a sense of whimsy and lightheartedness (especially compared to the other Playstation titles, which I think was intentional) that made it a memorable experience. Best of luck, and I hope you have fun!

Personally, I always thought IX was kind of slow, clunky, and ugly, while X deserves far more credit than it gets (Spoony's little suckfest of a review doesn't help).

This section of the game was like my favorite back when I first played it years ago. I loved the airship sequence and exploring Lindblum.
