The Big Bad has captured all those who tried to oppose him, he has taken over the hero's base, and he is but moments away from total domination of the Earth. Little does he expect that his entire plan is about to be foiled by... A plastic soda bottle. Suddenly, the big bad steps on the soda bottle and accidentally releases his enemies; the soda bottle causes his minions to kill each other, thus freeing the base; and his allies turn on him because they refuse to be allied with a litterbug.

That bottle is a Badass Inanimate. An inanimate object that takes down entire empires just through the power of inertia.

I'm not sure "badass" is the right word here, although that soda can may be deemed a Memetic Badass.

Plank: As in the imaginary friend typically carried around by Johnny Twobyfour on Ed Edd N Eddy. On multiple occasions, "he" has been responsible for either saving or endangering the Eds (mostly the latter).

We have enough problems with "badass" tropes that I think this isn't worth the effort to clean-up. I'm adding a bomb for the following reasons:

  • Example As A Thesis hurts this draft more than it normally would. That is, it's my opinion that a problematic premise (in this case, being a "badass" trope) means that we would need to have a pretty kickass description prior to launch. This draft needs a lot of work on that front, imo, before it gets (more) hats.
  • The current description is a stub. It's only one paragraph.
  • It has no examples, other than the one from Ed Edd N Eddy listed in ^. That's still not a lot.
  • I don't think we need more badass tropes, unless they get "pre-approved" by the clean-up thread, since they're the ones who would clean-up the mess.
