- In You Don't Mess with the Zohan, the titular Zohan is a hyper-competent Israeli anti-terrorist that has grown tired and apathetic to the Arab-Israeli Conflict and wants to retire and become a hair-dresser. Nobody takes him seriously, including his own parents, and he fakes his own death and stows away to America to fullfill his dreams. It is later revealed that his mortal-enemy and Palestinian counterpart Fatoush "Phantom" Hakbarah has similar feelings and wants to be a shoe-salesman.
- The The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius villain Beautiful Gorgeous usually complains that she was forced to be a villain by her father Professor Calamitous, but when she tries to confess what she always wanted to do, she is cut off mid-sentence by something or someone. It is eventually revealed that she always wanted to put aglets on shoe-laces.
- At the end of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) crossover, the '87 turtles tell the '87 Bebop and Rocksteady that they don't have to be henchmen to Kraang and the Shredder anymore and that they could do something else (taking a note from the Heel–Face Turn the 2012 Bebop and Rocksteady made). Rocksteady admits that he always wants to be a personal-injury lawyer while Bebop just wants to dance.
