* DontShootTheMessage: Even feminists thought the way "#feminism" was portrayed in this episode was forced due to its Anvilicious overuse and Narm cheesy tone. They have been also critical on it especially on claims of the series mishandling female friendships.
* FountainOfMemes: Drunk!Barry. Literally everything out of his mouth became a meme near instantly.
* JustHereForGodzilla: Many people admitted that they only watched this episode to see Drunk!Barry. After the episode aired, he was the only part that was universally liked.
* MoralEventHorizon: Amunet's treatment of The Weeper, who she keeps as a malnourished slave that she beats in order to harvest his tears as a potent drug puts her far over the line. Killer Frost, an otherwise ruthless woman is visibly disturbed by this.
* Narm:
** The ladies all insist on staying in their full bachelorette party regalias throughout the whole night, complete with boas and sash.
** The dialogue surrounding #feminism might be lackluster to some, feeling poorly done, out of place or overcompensating.
** Despite being a feared crime boss who the likes of Cecile and Caitlin are wary of, Amunet Black comes off as more silly than scary thanks to her ridiculous hairstyle, hammy line delivery, and the fact that she carries around the metal she can weaponize in a bucket as opposed to a less clunky method.
* Squick
** Norvok has a little EldritchAbomination crawling out of his empty eye socket. It probably wasn't just the girls who jumped at the sight of that. Can also lapse into NightmareFuel, come to think of it...
** The fact that, when Joe and company are in a strip club, and find who is essentially his stepdaughter, as one of the strippers.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Despite being well-received, some people thought that more could have been done with the concept of a speedster who is drunk off his ass and behaving ridiculously.
