1	* AmericansHateTingle: Australian viewers disliked Buddy Boar due to him being a joke on Europeans introducing boars to Australia and screwing up its ecosystem.
2	* CultClassic: Compared to other shows at the time, it rarely had any attention after the show was cancelled. The show is still considered a cult classic to this day.
3	* DiagnosedByTheAudience: Taz is heavily implied to have the cartoon version of a mental or developmental disability. His family is a group of {{Civilized Animal}}s, while he's a gluttonous brute who can barely talk.
4	* EnsembleDarkhorse: Bull Gator & Axl, the Platypus Bros., Digeri Dingo and Hugh.
5	* GeniusBonus: Wendell T. Wolf is the last Tasmanian wolf (or thylacine) which went extinct in the 1930's. Ever since they were declared extinct, there have been reported sightings in both Tasmania and mainland Australia.
6	* HoYay: Axl seems really...devoted to Bull, and really acts with jealousy when the latter hangs out with Taz in "Hypnotazed".

8	* NightmareFuel: Happens when Molly adopts an adorable kitten. It may seem nice, but to Taz and the viewers, the cat becomes dangerously homicidal and evil. Even its eyes look very evil when it's in evil mode.
9	** There's also the second episode where the kitty makes an appearance. It finds its way home on a dark, rainy night. The episode was essentially ''Taz: The Slasher Movie''.
10	* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: While the [[Platform/SegaGenesis Genesis]] and [[Platform/SegaMasterSystem Master System]] [[VideoGame/TazManiaSega games by]] Creator/{{Sega}} are considered good, or at least passable, the Platform/GameGear version is an atrocious wreck. The graphics are hideous and the controls are sluggish and awkward, which only adds to the FakeDifficulty that's already present.[[note]]The first level involves outrunning a boulder and requires absolute perfection and ends with a LeapOfFaith, while the second requires you to know the exact route through a runaway mine cart level or else you'll hit a dead-end and die.[[/note]] The only boss in the game is a serious case of GuideDangIt[[note]]You have to jump up and hit hanging icicles with your spin attack, which for some reason causes fire to shoot out from the floor[[/note]], and the sound and music...well, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BISQ1A4VFxg just have a listen for yourself]].
11	* RetroactiveRecognition: Creator/JessHarnell sings the theme using a voice that's practically the same as his voice for [[WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}} Wakko Warner]] -- but this show predated ''Animaniacs'' by two years.

13	** Axl Gator is a sweet-natured simpleton who constant gets physically abused by Bull Gator whenever he says or does something clueless. This, combined with his cute character design and submissive attitude will most likely make you want to hug the poor guy.
