1	* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Was Ja Rahr planning to take Walt to the slaughterhouse all along? Or was he genuinely trying to make Walt a star, with the slaughterhouse trip a desperate attempt to get ''some'' gain out of an effort that didn't pan out the way he had hoped?
2	* AntiClimaxBoss: Ja Rahr near the end. Following a single conventional wasp sting, he becomes incapacitated and his cohorts abruptly and unceremoniously desert him, rapidly destroying his scheme.
3	* {{Anvilicious}}: The end of the film has a speech about the importance of honesty, just in case the multitude of earlier scenes (and corresponding dialogue from Tiffany) decrying lying didn't make the intended aesop clear enough.
4	* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Two here: the first is when Walt and Ja Rahr turn the channel on a TV set, leading the TV to attack them and nearly consume Walt. No explanation is offered for the TV's animate abilities (a trait shared by almost no other appliances within the film) or the tenant's possession of the set.
5	** Another happens when two woodlice, in retaliation for Walt and Ja Rahr purloining fuel from their gas station, pursue their car on motorcycle while shooting missiles at it. Even more bizarrely, this example is {{Lampshaded}} by Tiffany in-universe:

9	* FightSceneFailure: In-universe. Walt's auditioning for an action movie, when all of a sudden robots start attacking him and a prop explodes. It takes a second after the explosion for Walt to get launched.
10	* MemeticMolester: Multiple reviewers have pointed out that Ja Rahr comes off as ''uncomfortably'' similar to a child predator at times.
