* EnsembleDarkhorse: As was the case with ''VideoGame/NicktoonsUnite'' and ''VideoGame/NickelodeonPartyBlast'', plenty of fans mainly play for the ''WesternAnimation/InvaderZim'' characters; in this case, Zim and Gaz.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: On the showdown video on the official website:
-->'''Commentator:''' "Nickelodeon Ace Stimpy got into trouble early, allowing a run on three hits before walking Jose Reyes to load the bases for replacement left-fielder Ryan Braun, subbing in for Josh Hamilton, whose spaceship took a wrong turn near [[PlanetOfHats Conventia]]".\
'''Commentator:''' "The Nickelodeon softball continued his rocky start, as David Ortiz and Adrian Gonzalez, a replacement for Albert Pujols, [[BrickJoke who was travelling with Josh Hamilton...]]"
* HilariousInHindsight: Danny Phantom would not be the the last character Keith Ferguson plays [[VideoGame/{{Overwatch}} in black with ghostly powers]]. The difference being that Danny Phantom is a superhero, whereas Reaper is a terroristic supervillain.
* ItsEasySoItSucks: One of the criticisms of the game is that it's very easy, even on the hardest difficulty.
* ItsShortSoItSucks: Another one of the criticisms about the game is its lack of alternate modes.
* JustHereForGodzilla: As with ''VideoGame/NicktoonsUnite'''s ''Attack of the Toybots'' and ''Globs of Doom'' video games, some people mainly play for the ''WesternAnimation/InvaderZim'' characters.
* PanderingToTheBase: Probably the reason we get characters from ''WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow'', ''WesternAnimation/InvaderZim'', ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom'' and ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'', despite those shows no longer airing at the time outside of the Nicktoons Network (ironically, ''Ren & Stimpy'' was dropped from Nicktoons the week before the game came out).
* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: The DS and 3DS versions are downright abysmal. In fact, the 3DS version is just a port of the DS version with a few new additions. It should be noted that they weren't developed by the same developer as the console versions, however.
* QuestionableCasting: One of the criticisms of the game. While the replacement actors are doing their best, not hearing David Kaufman, Zach Tyler Eisen, Billy West, and Dee Bradley Baker respectively voice Danny Phantom, Aang, either Ren or Stimpy, and Perch Perkins is rather jarring for those familiar with those characters.
* QuirkyWork:
** Many, ''many'' game sites [[LampshadeHanging immediately inform you that]] [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer this is an actual game made by Nickelodeon]] at the start of their preview/review article.
** Website/GiantBomb's Quick Look video [[http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-nicktoons-mlb/17-5038/ has one of the guys stating he questioned his sanity when he saw it at E3 (at 00:37)]].
* SoOkayItsAverage: This the primary opinion on the game, a shallow by-the-book baseball game that is at least has good gameplay and decent line up of Nicktoons.
* UnintentionalUncannyValley: The realistic-looking baseball players and the cartoony-looking Nicktoons don't really mesh together.
* UnexpectedCharacter: Larry the Lobster, Flying Dutchman, Gaz Membrane, Ultra Lord, Powdered Toast Man and Yak are all this, as is Hiro Mightypaw in the 3DS version.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: The presence of characters from shows that were airing at the time of the game's release but have since ended like ''WesternAnimation/TUFFPuppy'', ''WesternAnimation/FanboyAndChumChum'', ''WesternAnimation/PlanetSheen'' (which is how Sheen is depicted in the game), and most notably ''VideoGame/MonkeyQuest'' (an [=MMORPG=] that Nick made around the time of this game's release that [[DefunctOnlineVideoGames shut down]] soon afterwards) firmly dates this game to the early 2010s, as these series would be very unlikely to have major focus if the game were made more recently. This also applies to the [=MLB=] players present that have since either retired or left for other reasons, and the Cleveland Guardians being called the Cleveland Indians.
