Most interviews of Modest Mouse are just him, and given that the band has changed its lineup so much it's obvious he is the frontman.* FunnyAneurysmMoment: The line "I broke every bone in my goddamn jaw" from Might is pretty amusing seeing as Isaac Brock did just that three years after writing the song.* SignatureSong: A few key ones:** "Float On," in large part thanks to ''VideoGame/GuitarHero''; however, the band rarely plays "Float On" live, for the [[BlackSheepHit same]] [[CreatorBacklash reasons]] that Music/{{Radiohead}} stopped playing "Creep."** For longtime fans, "Teeth Like God's Shoeshine", "Doin' the Cockroach", "Cowboy Dan", "Truckers Atlas", "3rd Planet", "Gravity Rides Everything", "Dark Center Of The Universe", "The Stars Are Projectors", "Custom Concern", "Interstate 8", "Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset", "Edit the Sad Parts", and "Dramamine" are the biggest contenders. * TrueArtIsAngsty: Their most critically acclaimed album, ''The Moon & Antarctica'', is probably their most cunningly stark and depressing one, helped in no part by the absence of vocals on many lengthy portions of song. In general, they are decidedly not a happy, fun band.** Brock's jaw was wired shut for some of the recording of the album, [[RealLifeWritesThePlot forcing the band to make the album largely instrumental.]]* {{Tearjerker}}: "Little Motel" is rather poignant.** A lot of their songs can count as this.* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: Their most critically acclaimed album, ''The Moon & Antarctica'', is ''also'' probably their most [[MindScrew mindscrewy]]. Oddly enough, it's mostly because they balance on a precipice between "oblique" and "foggy as London". A common theme on all of their albums.
