* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Was Leeroy an idiot who represented the cherry on top of PALS FOR LIFE's general incompetence? Or was he an unsung hero whose actions destroyed the guild's overly serious, militaristic, and statistical plan?
* AluminumChristmasTrees: As World of Warcraft is being changed constantly, some of the mechanics shown and discussed can seem like they're wrong to newer players:
** At this point in [=WoW=][='s=] history, it was downright common for healers, no matter their class, to wear cloth pieces, as non-cloth armor pieces with the appropriate stats were both rarer and usually inferior. The actual piece Leeroy is going for in the video is not particularly useful, though; most raiding healers avoided dungeon sets like the plague due to their lack of healing bonuses. It's less common now because of in-game bonuses given to players who wear pieces of only their "preferred" armor class, as well as better itemization.
** Paladins today that didn't play back in those days might not even know what Divine Intervention did back then. It was removed from the game before returning in Patch 7.0.3 as a level 90 paladin passive that activates Divine Shield on any attack that would kill the paladin. Originally, Divine Intervention worked by instantly killing the casting paladin, while making another character completely immune to all attacks for 2-3 minutes (that character would also be unable to move or attack themselves). The actual use of this spell was that, if you were about to wipe, a paladin could cast it on a healer, or some other class that could resurrect, so the group wouldn't have to release and run back. Raids at the time had rapidly respawning trash so this was very beneficial and would save a lot of time.
* BrokenBase: Some fans argue that the video makes a mockery of excessive planning and seriousness in the game while others think that it's a prime example of why planning is needed.
* GeniusBonus: If you know nothing about VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft, the humor of the video comes from watching a guy yell his name really loud before ruining his party's elaborate plan by blindly charging a group of enemies, getting them all killed. If you're a bit more familiar with how the game works (or just read our page about the video), you can understand that their plan was absolutely ridiculous and had no chance of working in the first place, which gives the video a whole new meaning.
* MemeticMutation: "Leeroy Jenkins" has become a noun, a verb, and is used by other characters similar to the archetype.
* MemeticTroll: Leeroy has pretty much become the poster boy for unruly party members and deliberate party wipes.
* MisaimedFandom: Really you're not supposed to root for either side here; Leeroy got his friends killed by being an idiot but the group was just as incompetent (their plan would've gotten them killed anyways) and took the game too seriously. Some people don't pick up on this and think that the video is mocking one side.
