* BrokenBase: There are two groups.
** The first group believes Krull forced Liv out due to a fit of pique regarding their divorce and banned her from seeing their son. He then publicly insinuated it was Liv's new boyfriend who had "manipulated" her into "abandoning" the group and the tour. Krull didn't do himself any favours by repeatedly being rude and dismissive in the comments of the initial announcement's post, even blocking some fans on Facebook and Youtube who expressed their concerns[[note]]the group lost 70,000 fans from their FB page after the announcement[[/note]], and later made a post calling the upset fans "haters" and "bitches". Furthermore, they believe that the band should change its name ("Leaves' Eyes" = "Liv's Eyes").
*** It's interesting to note that Liv's father and sister as well as Raymond from Theatre of Tragedy commented on the Facebook post supporting Liv's version (although these comments were deleted by the band). They also say that Krull's revealing of Liv's mental health and the fact that she had been seeing a therapist was a despicable action.
** The second group thinks that it was Liv's and her then therapist and partner's fault that things went down the way they did, and believe the authenticity of the papers claiming that the band and Liv had already agreed she would leave the group. They also think that Liv purposefully goaded her fans and family members into attacking the band, and point out that she has been fired from Theatre of Tragedy under nearly identical circumstances (except she and Raymond had remained AmicableExes for years by that point), including pulling the same WoundedGazelleGambit afterwards; thus, they argue, any issues must lie with her.
*** Members of the first group point out to the second group, however, that Liv and other members of Theatre of Tragedy, such as Raymond and Tommy Olsson, have since patched things up and are considering possibly working together in some capacity in the future.
** There is also a broken base regarding some fan rumours that there was cheating involved, but nobody can agree on who. [[TakeAThirdOption Some fans even believe that they were both cheating on each other.]]
* CreatorCouple: Liv and Krull formed the band around their marriage, though their 2016 divorce led to Liv's departure from the band.
* FanonDiscontinuity: For a large majority of the fandom, everything post Liv's departure is this.
* FriendlyFandoms: Fans of Nell Sigland tend have lots of sympathy and solidarity for Elina and her fans, since Liv's fans gave her the same treatment as Nell for the high crime of replacing Liv Kristine as lead vocalist on a band.
* ReplacementScrappy: Elina for Liv. The controversy surrounding Liv's departure doesn't help.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Elina v. Liv again. Interestingly a version in which fans aren't angry about the replacement itself (well, not ''only'' about that, anyway) so much as the fact that Liv claims she was wrongfully dismissed.
* ToughActToFollow: Elina Siirala is a talented singer and makes an effort to sound similar to Liv, but it's always going to be difficult to replace a beloved frontwoman thirteen years and six albums into the band's existence - especially considering the circumstance's of said frontwoman's departure.
