* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The only reason to watch, though "Rip and Destroy" (aka "Hotter Than Hell" with new lyrics) sounds oddly off-key.
* FightSceneFailure: Tons of it, the most egregious being Ace obviously being replaced by his stunt double during the fight with the robots, which is extra noticeable since his stunt double was ''African-American''.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** Music/{{KISS}} getting replaced by robot clones is kind of funny after Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer replaced Peter and Ace, even taking on their original stage personas.
** The next acting gig for Gene Simmons would be yet another movie about a sinister RobotMaster causing havoc, ''Film/{{Runaway}}'', with Simmons playing the villain.
* {{Narm}}: It'd be easier to list which lines and scenes ''aren't'' narmy.
** "Easy, Catman, they are serious!"
** "Gene's brother was an only child!"
** "Ack!"
** Gene's reaction to the police questioning him: a loud growl. The police's reaction is funnier ("Now, wait a minute!"), acting as if he said "Fuck you!"
* OlderThanTheyThink: The "heavy metal band saves the world from evil robot clones" plot was later rehashed in ''Film/BillAndTedsBogusJourney''. In fact, that movie was partly a reference to this film, according to WordOfGod.
* {{Padding}}: The entire scene with the 45 year old "[[DawsonCasting teenage]]" punks has nothing to do with anything, and just wastes 30 minutes of them wandering around a spookhouse.
* RetroactiveRecognition: Creator/BrionJames was one of the park security guards, long before making a name for himself in ''Film/FortyEightHrs'' and ''Film/BladeRunner''.
* SoBadItsGood: The assessment by those who like the movie, given how badly thought and made the whole thing is.
* SpecialEffectFailure: Well, it was a 1970's TV movie which had NoBudget. Even in the 70's, the effects were awful. From the effects to make Gene breath fire, to the actors that are pretending to be animatronics, to the ObviousStuntDouble scenes that occur when KISS meet their robot duplicates, it's all over the place.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: How could you screw up a movie in which ''KISS fights Evil Robot KISS''? In interviews the band said the movie was pitched to them as "''Film/AHardDaysNight'' meets ''Franchise/StarWars''", the band would later state that "Music/PaulMcCartney or Music/MickJagger would never make a movie where they fight evil robots!"
