* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3F-YxdVaFE Episode 19.]]
** It must be stated if you know nothing about Kamen Rider, the aforementioned video is the greatest MindScrew on the internet.
** Music/{{Gackt}} would like you to know that [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaO1Ncn6EKE You're the Next Decade]].
*** And he wants you to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n35dpICCLU Stay the Ride Alive]].
*** As well take a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7T_Y49KrrQ Journey Through the Decade]]. In fact, the opening deserves a special mention. It sounds so mystical and eerie, but still has that classic Kamen Rider feel to it.
** The RX[=/=]Black arc has a BGM of Awesome which plays several times throughout (most notably in the double henshin and Double Kick), which is actually a piece of production library music called ''[[https://youtu.be/u_Cx4v3SGlw Millions of Me]]'' from [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VideoHelper VideoHelper]] and has been played on the gameshow ''Series/MinuteToWinIt''.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJjaiOUir04 Ride the Wind]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqDrZZ0BLuc Treasure Sniper]].
** From the soundtrack, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gHIQPttEhg Form Ride]].
* BaseBreakingCharacter:
** [[AlternateUniverse Yusuke Onodera]], [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga Godai's]] counterpart. For his detractors, starting out as a selfish asshole (aka the exact opposite of the original Kuuga) left a sour taste, and he only got worse when he barely did anything over the course of the show, not even transforming all that much. However, some enjoy his amicable personality when he joins the others, being the more down-to-earth character of the group, and bringing some comedy ([[ButtMonkey at his expense]]). They also point out that the entire point of the AR Riders was to be different from their original counterparts, and that the idea of him being a carbon copy of the original Kuuga with a different face would be a little lazy. Though as of recent, it seems to have died down, as many fans welcomed him back with open arms when his actor reprised his role in ''Decade vs. Zi-O''.
** There is also the main character himself, Tsukasa. Detractors find him to be utterly insufferable for his jerk behavior and so turned off of being so perfect with everything he does (except photography of course) when it is merited that he makes [[Series/KamenRiderKabuto Tendou]] look humble in comparison. On the other hand, he has his fans for being one of the coolest Riders around and his charisma of being a jerk. Though even his detractors will admit that he has gotten a lot better by the time ''Series/KamenRiderZiO'' rolls around.
* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Most of Natsumi's fanart is her outfit from when she was possessed by Urataros. [[note]]Keep in mind that Natsumi's scene in this outfit lasted for only a few ''seconds''[[/note]].
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
** The Kabuto World story ends with Kivala facing off with a Worm mimicking Kivala, for no reason other than to have a Worm mimicking Kivala. It gets weirder if you're familiar with the concept from [[Series/KamenRiderKabuto the original series]]. [[note]]Typically, ShapeshifterBaggage is only loosely employed so that Worms, being human-sized, can only impersonate other humans - but Kivala is ''the size of a baseball.''[[/note]]
** The first sign of Diend's powers shows up during a fight in Blade's world, where suddenly out of nowhere Todoroki appears. He plays his guitar solo, strikes his guitar into the ground attacking everyone, then disappears.
** In the World of Amazon, there is a random moment where Eijiro appears holding a sunflower while wearing a gag mole nose with a sunflower at the end of it, claiming that he is Amazon's helper Mole Beastman[[note]]Mogura Jujin[[/note]] and going [[VerbalTic "chu-chu"]], a reference to the [[DefectorFromDecadence Mole Beastman]] from ''Series/KamenRiderAmazon''.
** [[Series/KamenRiderDouble Double's]] appearance in ''All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker''; [[spoiler:he simply rides in, hands Shadow Moon his ass on a platter (after SM beat Decade AND Rising Ultimate Kuuga at the same time), sends him flying into the Dai-Shocker HQ, then rides off]]. However, the aftermath of the BLAM gives all Riders an extremely wide opening to perform the All Rider Kick.
** It does later get a nod, however, in ''Movie Wars''.
* BrokenBase: On one side, people who like ''Decade'' enjoy it because they feel it's a celebration of what makes ''Franchise/KamenRider'' great while having an interesting MythArc story. On the other side, people who dislike it feel that the overuse of {{Suspiciously Similar Substitute}}s ruins what could have been a great ReunionShow and that [[TheWorfEffect every returning character was weakened to make Decade look stronger]]. However, both sides generally agree that the show should have had more than two episodes per plot arc.
* CargoShip: thanks to what happened to him in ''Diend'' world, Yusuke[=/=]''Kivaala''.
* CompleteMonster:
** "[[Recap/KamenRiderDecadeEp10FaizHighSchoolsPhantomThief Faiz High School's Phantom Thief]]" & "[[Recap/KamenRiderDecadeEp11555Faces1Treasure 555 Faces, 1 Treasure]]": [[FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon Momose]]/[[TeensAreMonsters Tiger Orphnoch]], the prideful leader of the new Lucky Clover in the [[Series/KamenRider555 World of Faiz]], is introduced as a member of a gang of bullies studying at Smart Brain High School who is quickly revealed to be a budding psychopath. Having orchestrated a series of attacks targeting other students, Momose tries to kill Takumi's best friend in front of him and orders his comrades to indiscriminately kill numerous students while he could watch and mock the victims. Not satisfied with the initial massacre, Momose gathers the survivors in a circle for them to be executed one by one, informing them that if they are lucky, they could be turned into Orphnoch.
** "[[Recap/KamenRiderDecadeEp20TheNegaWorldsDarkRiders The Nega-World's Dark Riders]]" & "[[Recap/KamenRiderDecadeEp21TheWalkingAllRiderAlbum The Walking All-Rider Album]]": [[EvilTwin Otoya Kurenai]] is [[Series/KamenRiderKiva King]]'s substitute in the World of Negatives, possessing not only all of his FantasticRacism, but also a charismatic personality to hide the fact that he is a cold-hearted, scheming dictator. As the commander of the Dark Riders, Otoya annihilated more than half of humanity in a genocide, and leads the extermination of survivor camps, while also [[BadBoss abusing those who defy him]]. Seeking to make Tsukasa his successor, Otoya tries to [[TheCorrupter corrupt him]] into abandoning his journey and accepting the nature of his oppressive world.
** ''Film/KamenRiderDecadeAllRidersVsDaiShocker'': [[TheChessmaster Nobuhiko Tsukikage]] is a slimy member of Dai-Shocker who, through treachery and manipulation, became their new Great Leader. Acting as the seemingly loyal butler of the Kadoya family, Tsukikage's real identity is that of [[Series/KamenRiderBlack Shadow Moon]] from another reality where [[AdaptationalVillainy he lacks all of his original counterpart's sympathetic qualities]]. Keeping a close eye on Sayo Kadoya for possessing the source of Dai-Shocker's power, the Stone of the Earth, Tsukikage manipulates Tsukasa with the belief that he could stop the destruction of worlds by defeating the previous Riders, helping him in setting up the battle royal tournament, which doubles as a ritual to raise the Dai-Shocker Castle. After Tsukasa briefly resumes his role as the Great Leader of Dai-Shocker, Tsukikage takes advantage of Sayo's hatred towards her brother to organize a coup, [[TheUsurper swiftly overthrowing him]] to assume the throne for himself. Under his leadership, Dai-Shocker launches an ultimatum on the multiverse, ordering thousands of their own soldiers to [[SuicideAttack perform kamikaze attacks]] and then releasing a legion of monsters to slaughter those who survived as part of their quest to assimilate all worlds into an interdimensional dictatorship.
* EpilepticTrees: Not only is the typical life expectancy of female Riders subverted, but two female Riders (Akira in Hibiki and L'Arc in Blade) are brought back just to have them retconned with a much better fate. [[spoiler:Unfortunately though in the Rider War...]]
** And then the ''Final Chapter'' movie has [[spoiler:Natsumi becoming Kamen Rider Kivara and they even give the original quasi-female Rider sidekick [[Series/KamenRiderStronger Tackle]] a decent sized sub plot as way of homage]].
** [[spoiler:Though, Natsumi prior to being Kivara was Den-o for one episode, and was killed off a couple of episodes later. She gets better]].
* FandomEnragingMisconception: A PlayedForLaughs version. If you call Tsukasa's color pink, [[PlayAlongMeme expect there to be dozens of replies of people saying he's actually magenta]].
* FanNickname: Decade is sometimes spelled as "Dickeido," because (1) [[GratuitousEnglish that's how his name is pronounced in the show]], and (2) [[{{Jerkass}} he's kind of a dick]].
* HarsherInHindsight:
** In ''All Riders'', Decade's Final Kamen Attack Ride has the All Riders turn into giant [=FFR=] cards. [[spoiler: In ''Final Chapter,'' this is what remains of the Riders when Decade ''kills them''. Subverted when it turns out that [[{{Reincarnation}} this is a good thing]].]]
** While this could also classify as hilarious in hindsight depending on your [[BlackComedy sense of humor]], Tsukasa joking about Natsumi killing someone during the Ryuki arc becomes this [[spoiler:considering the first and only person she kills is ''him'']].
* HilariousInHindsight: While this show features the first ''Franchise/SuperSentai''/''Franchise/KamenRider'' crossover, ''Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers'' and ''Series/MaskedRider'' crossed over first. At the end of the ''Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger'' crossover, the world of ''Series/KamenRiderBlackRX'', the show ''Masked Rider'' used footage from, is revealed to be the next world.
** Speaking of ''Sentai'', the first fight in the ''Shinkenger'' crossover with both Rangers and Riders involved Shinken Gold and Diend. Care to guess which Ranger is among the evil duplicates created by Diend's (outright villainous) ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger'' {{expy}} Basco in his debut episode?
** About ''Gokaiger'' again, though more subtly: the first ''Shinkenger'' episode of ''Decade'' was one of the very few times in ''Decade'' where the Kamen Rides (both Diend's and Decade's) had a thematic link to the episode's theme (''Shinkenger'', ''Ryuki'' and ''Den-O'' were all written by Creator/YasukoKobayashi); ''Gokaiger'' turned out to be far more liberal in its usage of such thematic transformations into past heroes in episodes with alumni guest stars.
** In one of the Net Movies, ''[[Film/ShinKamenRiderPrologue Shin Kamen Rider]]'' imagines WhatCouldHaveBeen if his show took off, like meeting up with a ''child fan'' - of [[BloodierAndGorier Shin Kamen Rider]]. [[WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids You know, FOR KIDS!]]
** At the beginning of the Den-O World arc, everyone assumes that Den-O's Final Form Ride is supposed to be [=DenLiner=] since that's how the card shows it...then later on it's revealed to be Momotaros himself. [[spoiler:And then in ''Final Chapter'', the [=DenLiner=] thing becomes reality]].
** Another [=FFR=] example would be Agito's. [[Series/KamenRiderDouble Think they'll be using that concept again?]]
** The appearance of [[spoiler:King Dark]] near the end of ''All-Riders'' is [[LateToThePunchline funny in retrospect]], since it means [[spoiler:'''two''' personifications of the Great Leader [[note]]the second one, obviously, was Decade[[/note]] are duking it out]].
** In the World of Hibiki, [[spoiler: if you're an Oni and lose your sense of justice and seek only to be stronger, you turn into a Makamou. Change the words Oni and Makamou to MagicalGirl and Witch respectively and you get what happens to [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Sayaka]] just a few years later.]]
*** [[spoiler:Also replace the words justice and seeking to be stronger with sanity and refusing Grief Seeds respectively]].
*** [[spoiler:To make this one even better, the writer of the show went on to write ''Kamen Rider Gaim'', in which Ryoji Hase goes insane and becomes an Invess.]]
** Faiz's world is a HighSchoolAU. Which has Orphenoch hiding out in the school. Since they're zombies, does this count as a Manga/HighSchoolOfTheDead?
*** A HighSchoolAU where Kamen Rider fights other students who turn into monsters, and whose name [[Series/KamenRiderFourze starts with an F and ends with a Z sound]]?
*** On top of which, Tsukasa has Gentaro's school uniform while Amanogawa's uniform follows the style of the AU!Faiz one.
** The Dark Riders story does this again. Natsumi used to be in this club of rejects, and they even get a loser teacher for their club advisor, just as the Kamen Rider Club did.
** In ''Series/KamenRiderRyuki'', Shuichi Kitaoka[=/=]Zolda was a lawyer. In the World of Ryuki, they're ''all lawyers''. Zolda earns an upgrade to public prosecutor, and is apparently a force to be reckoned with.
** Let's see, we've got a character who summons heroes from other worlds via firing them out of a gun. Are we talking about Kamen Rider Diend or [[VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes Kiran?]]
** The 4th Kamen Rider, who only appears in a movie for the series, is played by the actor who sings the show's opening. Are you talking about Riderman being played by Gackt or [[Series/KamenRiderDrive Kamen Rider 4]] being played by Mitsuru Matsuoka[[note]]Don't see it? Riderman was the 4th Kamen Rider introduced, and if he had taken the same name as the first 2, he would be called "Kamen Rider 4"[[/note]]?
** The [[MonsterOfTheWeek MOTW]] of episode 24 becoming a monstrous version of Diend upon stealing the latter's Diendriver becomes this upon ''Series/KamenRiderZiO'' introducing the concept of the Another Riders, which are, you guessed it, also monstrous and corrupted versions of past Kamen Riders.
*** Even more hilariously with the ''Geiz Majesty'' special, as [[spoiler:an alternate version of White Woz becomes Another Diend]].
* JustHereForGodzilla: Some people watch the series just because Black and Black RX are going to be in it with their original actor.
* MemeticLoser: Yusuke Onodera has often been the butt of all jokes for his uselessness since he doesn't transform that much and when he does, he doesn't make any difference in fight scenes. He has been the measuring stick for how useless a character can be in a Kamen Rider show.
* MemeticMutation: [[Memes/KamenRider See this page for examples.]]
* MemeticTroll:
** Daiki Kaito/Kamen Rider Diend, he will give out vague information about Tsukasa to him, will switch sides midway because he’s bored, will steal something important and sometimes give it back at the last second, and can turn invisible and create duplicate illusions of himself. It helps that unlike Tsukasa and Yusuke, he was meant to be seen as annoying, making his ability to mess with them look even better.
** Due to VillainDecay and the fact that he always blames Decade for everything that goes wrong, even if he’s responsible for it, Narutaki also gets this from the fandom.
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: '''FINAL FORM RIDE'''
** '''[[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome HIHIHIHIBIKI]]'''
* NarmCharm: Many fans agree that the finishing move against the Makamou in episode 19 is perhaps the dumbest thing that has ever been on Kamen Rider.......and perhaps the most awesome thing ever as well thanks to a well coordinated attack with ThePowerOfRock.
* NeverLiveItDown: Some fans are mocking Decade for losing against [[spoiler:[[Series/KamenRiderBlade the real Kamen Rider Blade]] in [[SuperMode King Form.]]]] Even though the defeat is justified because: 1. Decade is already injured from the fight with Apollo Geist prior, and 2.[[spoiler: He fights against a Legend Rider with access to a powerful SuperForm, while he's stuck with base form]], fans can't stop making fun of Decade's loss.
* NightmareFuel: Judging by her reaction, Momotaros-possessed Yusuke was this for Natsumi.
** Some of the deaths in this series, particularly Great Shocker's assault on TheMultiverse, where people get killed ''onscreen''.
* RetroactiveRecognition:
** Many years later, Hiroki Suzuki (Kazuma Kendate) would go on to voice Hyakkimaru in Anime/Dororo2019 .
** Momose, the Tiger Orphenoch in the Faiz Tribute arc, is played by Ryosuke Miura...who would go on to play the Greeed Ankh in Series/KamenRiderOOO.
* SeasonalRot: Decade as a character remains popular, especially giving that [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap his later appearances has won over previous detractors]], but ''Decade'' as a show has been critiqued for things such as its confusing plot, having most of the past Heisei Riders be AU versions rather than the original ones, and a [[NoEnding disappointing and controversial final episode]].
* SpecialEffectFailure: Kivala initially made her first appearances as a CGI model. A few episodes later and she became a toy on a string.
** Taken to an absolutely appalling level in episode 12, where Kivala has CGI in one scene and then instantly shifts back to toy-on-a-string for her next appearance ''in the very same episode''.
* TearJerker:
** The deaths of [[spoiler:Kuuga!Yashiro and AU!Hibiki]]. Some could probably counted as well.
** Tsukasa is constantly called the destroyer of worlds. While at first it looks like just brushes it off or don't let it outwardly effect him that much, over the series you can tell that deep down he is hurt by those accusations and despite his friends constantly tried to reassure him by the time of the final episodes he sounded like he simply is resigned himself to that fate, especially when Wataru told him he was supposed to destroy the AU riders not befriend them and his actions were destroying the worlds, and by the Movie War 2010 he had fully embraced that. He might not be the kindest person in the world but he had feelings also.
** The AR Shigeru Jo has had it rough. In his world, there was no Delza Army leader, and he simply searched and searched for them until he drove himself insane. He starts to wonder if Numata Goro was just a figment of his imagination (which would mean he became Stronger for nothing), and ultimately becomes the Delza leader himself. When Tsukasa, Yusuke, and the original Shigeru confront him, they find that all he wants is for Tackle to join him, as she is the only "real" part of his life that he has left.
** Not to be outdone, the original Shigeru is forced to fight Tsukasa to stop him from saving Tackle, as the resulting ButterflyOfDoom would prevent him from unlocking Charge Up and defeating Delza. Even though it's only told through figurines and text, there's no hiding the bitterness and reluctance in his actions.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** The whole "Orphenochs can't go to school" aspect was just mentioned by one or two lines and that is it. Even after [[spoiler:Faiz is revealed to be one]], it doesn't get mentioned again.
*** More than likely, Faiz's plot wasn't expanded because it was very similar to Kiva's, so rather than focusing on the FantasticRacism, they just used the arc to introduce Kaitou.
** [[spoiler:Tsukasa being this universe's incarnation of The Great Leader of Dai-Shocker who lost his memories while traveling the worlds]]. This idea could have easily been the center plot of the series itself and could have been explored how even such an iconic villain in the franchise is capable of redemption, change and goodness, especially since he's the anniversary Rider of Kamen Rider itself. [[spoiler: Tsukasa's past and how he even lost his memories are barely even touched upon in the movie.]]
* TheUntwist: It's hard to not see the [[spoiler: Tsukasa is leader of Daishocker]] twist coming when the initial rumors were that Tsukasa was either gonna be an {{Otaku}} or an [[spoiler: EvilOverlord]].
** [[HilariousInHindsight No, the otaku wound up in]] [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Super Sentai instead...]]
* WTHCostumingDepartment:
** Diend's look has been joked that he looks like a radiator themed Rider instead of a barcode.
** Decade Complete is very gaudy looking with the cards of the past Riders on his chest and helmet without really adding anything else to compliment or enhance the card additions.
