1	* AntiClimaxBoss: Deebo in ''Next Friday'', who spends most of it stowing away in the back of Mr. Jones's dog catching truck. When he finally does catch up to Craig and has him at gunpoint, Chico, Joker's dog, rushes in and knocks him down. Then the police come in and haul him away again.
2	** The third movie has Damon, who's set up to be the BigBad similar to Deebo. Instead of mixing it up with Craig, he gets [[GroinAttack groin attacked]] by Money Mike during a failed [[DoubleStandardRapeMaleOnMale rape]] attempt and ends the film chasing Mike through the hood. A subversion comes with the Bad Santa, who, despite being "Extra medium" skinny, beats Craig somewhat easily in the beginning of the film. While Craig and Day Day do manage to deal out some LaserGuidedKarma to him in the end, he doesn't make it in any way easy.
3	* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[Music/CypressHill "Roll It Up, Light It Up, Smoke It Up"]] is featured prominently in the movie. The film also features some great stuff by Music/DrDre, Music/{{Funkdoobiest}}, Music/RickJames, Music/IceCube, and Music/RoseRoyce.
4	* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
5	** The AsianStoreOwner in the first film randomly rising from the counter at his "Black Owned" convenience store and never appearing again.
6	** The whole bit with with shotgun wielder during the climax of the third movie. Comes right out of nowhere and is rather jarring in what is meant as an otherwise comical chase sequence.
7	* CrossesTheLineTwice: "Bros Bar-B-Q! Tastes so good, make you wanna slap your momma!" Cue Willy doing ''exactly that''.
8	* EnsembleDarkhorse:
9	** Smokey. He has more fans than any other character in the first, second, or third movies. Because of this, Music/IceCube will only make another ''Friday'' if Creator/ChrisTucker's in it. However giving how big a name he is now, that's very unlikely. Adding more to that, is that Chris Tucker became a born again Christian later in life and found it distasteful to return to such roles. Also adding that he rarely really acts much in big name pictures nowadays.
10	** [[BigBad Deebo]] due to his many quotable lines and EvilIsCool persona. To this day, fans consider this their favorite role of Tiny Lister's.

23	* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Creator/JohnWitherspoon (Mr. Jones) never once played a serious role throughout his decades-long career. However, he absolutely nailed the “win some, lose some” scene delivering a firm yet warmhearted performance making the message all the more powerful.
24	* HilariousInHindsight Tony Cox does [[Film/BadSanta eventually]] gets his revenge against Creator/BernieMac for sleeping with his wife.
25	* MemeticMutation: The shot of Ice Cube and Chris Tucker leaning back and yelling "DAAAAAAMN!" is commonly used as a reaction image to clever comebacks on the Internet.
26	* ReplacementScrappy:
27	** Day Day lacks the humor and memorable quotes that Chris Tucker's Smokey delivered from the first movie. He has also shown to be not that good of a friend to Craig as he never takes responsibility for his own actions. While Smokey, at the very least, apologized to Craig for getting him involved with Big Worm and offered to face the consequences.
28	** Damon in the third film is nowhere near as intimidating as [[KnightOfCerebus Deebo]] is since he's made out to be more goofy in comparison after his introduction. The aforementioned AntiClimaxBoss section above pretty much is how he's handled by Money Mike with pliers in his [[GroinAttack midsection]] throughout the near end of the film. Even after Craig told Money Mike to let go of him and starts chasing the latter, he's never seen catching Money Mike in the end.
29	* RetroactiveRecognition:
30	** Creator/MichaelClarkeDuncan made his uncredited film debut in the first movie; he's briefly glimpsed playing craps with Deebo and Smokey.
31	** Creator/MeaganGood, also in her film debut, played the "I hate him!" girl in the scene with Big Worm's ice cream truck.
32	* VindicatedByHistory: Although the first film was positively received on its debut and was a modest hit at the box office, it wasn't until years went on that the film would garner the acclaim it has today and be considered one of the best comedy films of all time.
33	* {{Wangst}}: Day Day, nonstop in ''The Friday After Next''. To the point that Craig even lampshades it.
34	* TheWoobie: Red, who constantly falls victim to Deebo.
