1	* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: In his ''Film/FourChristmases'' review, after noticing that the main characters are making a geographically impossible trip through California (which he notices as he lives in the state), Sean decides to explain by lowering a map of the region... except that at the first try, he lowers a picture of Creator/ChristinaHendricks [[{{Fanservice}} in lingerie]]. He promptly lifts it back and excuses himself saying "Sorry, wrong map" before lowering the actual map. This is never mentioned again for the rest of the episode.
2	* BizarroEpisode: For the episode on ''Film/CutthroatIsland'', the review was done with a pirate (played by Smeghead) who got intoxicated midway in the review. The following episode even had Smeghead apologize for the events of that episode.
3	* FriendlyFandoms: With '' WebVideo/CinematicVenom'' due to both the fans and both reviewers being friends in real life.

5	** In his review of ''Film/{{Birdemic}}'', Smeghead says that he gives director James Nguyen some credit for being a good sport about the movie's reception and embracing its sarcastic fandom (in contrast to Creator/TommyWiseau doing a ParodyRetcon in regards to ''Film/TheRoom2003'' or Creator/UweBoll's DearNegativeReader rants), and overall seems to find him a likeable guy. However, when he reviews ''Film/Birdemic2TheResurrection'', Smeghead is uncomfortable when he realizes that film's portrayal of minorities is rather... suspect, especially considering the only black people the protagonists meet are dead gangbangers, and a zookeeper of Asian descent that they meet speaks with [[AsianSpeekeeEngrish an accent]], even though Smeghead could verify that the zookeeper's actor speaks perfect English in real life (which particularly baffles Smeghead, as Nguyen himself is of Asian descent), leading him to say, "I'm starting to think that James Nguyen is not a very good person."
6	** In his review of ''Film/LeonardPart6'', he notes that Creator/BillCosby is in prison for sexual assault. Cosby's conviction was overturned on a technicality a couple of years later in 2021.
7	** In his vlog on ''Film/CreedIII'', Smeghead remarks that "Creator/JonathanMajors is having a hell of a year," with his roles in the aforementioned film and as Kang the Conqueror in ''Film/AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania''. This phrase would take on a whole meaning when, less than a month later, Majors would face accusations of domestic abuse, for which he was eventually criminally charged, and after being found guity of said charges, was fired from his role as Kang.

9	** The first part of his ''Film/TheFourthKind'' review had its likes almost outweighed by dislikes from people who liked the movie (plus, in the comments, people didn't seem to take kindly to Smeghead riffing on Creator/MillaJovovich and her voice). Either that, or some people thought that it actually was the movie, as shown by several comments on the video. (Note that there's nowhere near as many dislikes in the videos for the second and third parts of the review.)
