* {{Adorkable}}: Being a {{Fanboy}} gushing about geeky movies, Lee inevitably acts like this. More so when he tells stories about his wife or newborn son, which are often adorable.
* BrokenBase:
** Splitting an EGA episode into two. Better way to go further into details, or redundantly irritating to make two videos out of one movie? It doesn't help that they made one entire video for the 3 hour ultimate edition of ''Film/BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice'' but split a movie like ''Film/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld'', a movie that is much shorter, into two. Doesn't seem to apply to ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'', though. In fact, for ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', Lee claims that his viewers ''insisted'' that the movie be covered in multiple parts due to the understandably longer running time compared to other movies.
** Lee unlisting the ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' videos. Was he justified in doing so to take a stand towards the alleged transphobic comments of Creator/JKRowling or is it disrespectful towards Harry Potter fans that loved his videos covering the franchise and take issue that he's pulling a BuryYourArt rather than trying to separate the artist from the art? Not helping matters especially since [[DoubleStandard he did as a matter of fact separate the artist from the art for similar if not more controversial people out there]].
* CatharsisFactor: If you're fed up to the back teeth of snarky film review channels, Lee's channel is a major breath of fresh air, particularly if you're a fan of very divisive films such as the latest ''Franchise/StarWars'' films or the Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse. Hearing genuine praise lavished on them is immensely satisfying. Or even if you're not a fan and are just sick of negativity, watching a movie you thought was bad and getting a perspective that isn't filled with bile is just a nice change of pace.
* FandomRivalry:
** A relatively small one with WebVideo/CinemaSins, fans of Sins will sometimes leave comments on videos saying Lee "ripped off" Sins even though it's an AffectionateParody of them. Lee even acknowledges this on his channel page. On the flip side fans of Wins will say Wins is better because he puts time and effort into videos fully analyzing films, while Sins just tends to nitpick and have many jokey Sins. Then there are the fans who love them both for what they do.
** A more severe one has formed with ''Podcast/EveryFrameAPause'' thanks to the latter group making multiple live streams criticizing Lee's content with them calling Lee's video defending ''Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker'' "one of the worst videos [they've] ever seen". Fans of Cinema Wins find EFAP to be engaging in poor tact attacking Cinema Wins for praising movies they don't like. Fans of EFAP however, find Lee's endless optimism and defenses (although it's well established that Lee is perfectly able to admit when he doesn't like something in a film or even a film as a whole) to be just as harmful to film criticism discourse as relentless nitpicking, if not more so.
** Another one with fans of Madvocate. In Madvocate's ''[[Film/WonderWoman1984 Wonder Woman 1984]]'' [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZwNBOoJnnZQ video]], he showed a brief clip of Lee saying "pretend for a watch through that it's what you wanted, and see how you feel!", then cut to a shot of [[Series/GameOfThrones Tyrion]] vomiting to show his disgust. Needless to say, fans of [=CinemaWins=] didn't appreciate it. In general, Madvocate's ''extremely'' critical and unforgiving review style clashes strongly with [=CinemaWins=]' positive style, with Madvocate all but outright saying that Lee's outlook is naive and uncritical.
* GrowingTheBeard: The earlier videos were fine but focused a bit too much on jokes while later videos focus a lot more on explaining exactly why the movie is so good or defending it. He also started doing movies he wants to do regardless of whether they're praised enough or not, alongside the unpopular movies he wants to stick up for.
* HeartwarmingInHindsight:
** In his ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheFirstAvenger'' video, Lee makes a joke about Cable using TimeTravel so Steve can be with Peggy. Come ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', Steve actually uses time travel to be with Peggy, again!
** In his ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'' Video, Lee calls for Disney to rehire James Gunn. Four months after the video, Disney did!
* HilariousInHindsight:
** In the review of ''Film/GodsOfEgypt'', Lee calls the scene where Bek is caught stealing jewels "live-action ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}''". Three years later, an actual live-action ''Film/{{Aladdin|2019}}'' came out.
** In the review of ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'', Lee mentions the then-upcoming ''Film/{{Doctor Strange|2016}}'' and says that no matter how much the fans want it, Strange still won't do any magic. The movie would go on to thoroughly avert the MCU's tendency of DoingInTheWizard and make it clear that what is used in it really is magic.
** His review of ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'' has him end up making three predictions about future MCU installments that all come true. With two of these instances, he did callbacks to these retroactive moments of foreshadowing.
*** When Steve gets [[OnlyTheChosenMayWield Mjolnir]] to budge ever so slightly, Lee theorizes that "Cap ''could'' lift the hammer [[Film/AvengersEndgame and will eventually]], but once he realized he could, he decided not to for Thor's sake."
*** When Vision swoops in and rescues Wanda at the end, Lee says, "[[ShipTease Ooh,]] [[Film/AvengersInfinityWar they're gonna]] [[Series/WandaVision fall in love!]] Also, saving your new friend."
*** In the last shot of Hulk, as he flies away in a Quinjet, Lee pleads "[[ComicBook/PlanetHulk Please be going to Sakaar, please be going to Sakaar.]] [[Film/ThorRagnarok Oh no? Maybe Asgard? Alright. That's fine.]]"
** In the ''Film/AttackOfTheClones'' review, as he apologizes for not realizing that Darth Maul survived ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' in canon material (having believed ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'' and ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels'' to be non-canon), he states that he hopes Maul will be in ''Film/TheLastJedi'', stating that Creator/RayPark needs the work. [[spoiler:While Maul didn't show up in that film, he appeared at the end of ''Film/{{Solo}}'', physically portrayed by Ray Park]].
** In the ''Film/ReturnOfTheJedi'' review, Lee predicts that [[spoiler:Luke is responsible for Ben Solo's fall]] which ''Film/TheLastJedi'' confirmed to be the truth.[[note]]While the video was released two days after ''Film/TheLastJedi'' hits theaters, it was clearly written and recorded beforehand.[[/note]]
** Lee says that ''Film/ThorRagnarok'' might be as smart as the Hulk gets. Then [[Film/AvengersEndgame Professor Hulk]] happens.
** In his ''WesternAnimation/{{Megamind}}'' review, during the scene where Megamind and Roxanne are escaping the sliding building, he lambasts the "''{{Film/Prometheus}}'' School of Running Away From Things" RunningGag from WebVideo/CinemaSins, arguing that you don't always think clearly during life-threatening situations and that the destruction the sliding building is causing would most likely make going to the sides useless. When Sins did their video, they made the joke without a hint of acknowledging the Wins video.
** In ''Film/JohnWickChapter2'', when John Wick arrives at the Italian Continental hotel, Lee makes an ''VideoGame/AssassinsCreedII'' joke ("Ha, Italian Continental. Likely to Ezio's home away from home?"). ''Film/JohnWickChapter3Parabellum'' would end up having enough thematic and more direct references to the franchise, [[spoiler:complete with John getting a ring finger cut off to prove his loyalty]].
* MemeticMutation: The amount of praise Lee has for Creator/TomCruise's dedication to his art (from taking matters into his own hands by being a producer, doing his own stunts, taking pay cuts, etc.) has gotten to the point of people affectionately mocking this in the comments section by claiming Tom Cruise did other more ridiculous things to ensure quality in his films. For instance, did you know that Tom Cruise actually killed himself in a nuclear explosion just to make the opening scene in ''Film/MissionImpossibleFallout'' more realistic? Such dedication to his craft.
* SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel: Your favorite movies are being defended and praised, what else do you need to sleep well at night?
