* {{Adorkable}}:
** Valt Aoi. Cute? Check. Clumsy? Check. Always enthusiastic about everything? Check!
** Dante is an adorable klutz.
** Hyuga can also count as this.
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation:
** Is Lui really a {{Jerkass}} who constantly puts down Bladers he sees as weak, or is he only dishing out ToughLove to his opponents in order to motivate them to get stronger?
** Shu in ''Evolution''. A Beyblade prodigy who just simply lost his way due to bad choices, or a SoreLoser willing to throw his friends under the bus just to win?
** To what degree of Shu's actions as Red Eye were of his own doing and/or Spryzen Requiem's influence?
** There's also the matter over what Shu's ''real'' motive for becoming Red Eye was. Was he upset because he lost to Free? Bitter over his previous losses to Lui? Ashamed at breaking his pact with Valt? A combination of all of the above? Or something completely different?
** Was Shu actually possessed by his Bey, or did he simply become so obsessed with power that he [[TheDarkSideWillMakeYouForget forgot why he sought it in the first place?]] A few flashbacks in the season 2 finale seem to support the latter.
** Did Stan spread the false rumor about Valt due to [[OutOfContextEavesdropping misinterpreting the interactions between him and Daigo]], or did he do it to spite Valt for Django's absence?
** Did Trad leave BC Sol for the Raging Bulls because he realized that his training style wasn't working for the team, or simply because of World Champion Free being on the Bulls?
** Was Kris really ignoring Stan in favor of Cuza when the latter came to join BC Sol, or was she pretending to ignore him as a way to punish him for his treatment of Valt?
** In ''Turbo'', were the characters (save for a few) really oblivious to what [[WreckedWeapon Aiger did to Valt]], or did they know but chose not to bring it up for fear of incurring Aiger's wrath?
** Did Suoh break off his friendship with Fubuki due to Heat Salamander's influence, or was he tired of always being called a duo alongside him and wanted to prove he was strong on his own?
** Pax forcing Pri to Beyblade for him. Was it just for the purpose of gathering data on Elemental Power, or was he actually trying to relive his old dream of Beyblading through her?
* AngstWhatAngst:
** Shu spent almost the entirety of ''Evolution'' brainwashed by the Snake Pit and then possessed by Spryzen Requiem, yet when he's brought back in the season finale, everyone pretty much acts like the "Red Eye" arc never happened. While he does express some regret over what he let himself become, he suffers no apparent trauma from his ordeal.
** Even after seeing Aiger obliterate his Wonder Valtryek, Valt quickly gets over it and harbors no resentment towards him for it. Though, this may be because he knew that it wasn't really Aiger's fault since the latter's resonance was corrupted at the time.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** The English openings, ''Our Time'' for season one, ''Evolution'' for season two, ''Turbo'' for season three, and ''Rise'' for season four all sound amazing. The original ''Burst Finish'', ''Evolution Burst'', ''Chouzetsu Muteki Blader'', and ''Gatti'n Roll'' are blood pumping as well with a mix of catchy, upbeat lyrics.
** Especially true for the English OP “Turbo” for season 3, sung by Music/NateWantsToBattle, no less! And for season 4, “Rise” being sung by Jonathan Young!
** Ditto for the Japanese openings endings, as well as the background music for the series!
** ''We're Your Rebels'' became a hit upon its release. It's one of the most hype and upbeat songs from start to finish and is sung by the artist of the fan-favorite Turbo intro, Music/NateWantsToBattle.
* BadassDecay: Wakiya doesn't fair well in Beyblade Burst Evolution. His team, Sunbat United, is eliminated from the running in the team championships early on (in an admittedly close match against a team with two members of the Big Five), and he's defeated by Valt and Rantaro while both were still inexperienced with their upgrades while he was fully familiar with his.
** Lui now fits into this as the seasons go on, with him losing multiple battles against newbie Bladers despite being a veteran of the sport. Lui would often be placed as one of the early obstacles for the characters to overcome and defeating him would show their growth. The same can be said for other characters, especially Free since the newbie has to overcome Fafnir's spin steal, forcing them to fight him differently.
** Shu has become one in Season 6, he hasn't won ''once'', not even a single round. Granted, [[ILetYouWin he gave Bel the win]] and has only had two battles, one of which helping Valt train his new Valtryek.
* {{Bowdlerize}}: The dub often omits/heavily censors scenes that are perceived as too mature for younger audiences. Especially prominent in the first two seasons. A lot of scenes where younger characters were shown to be subjected to pain outside exhaustion were also toned down. The third season onward mostly averted this by keeping the scenes and scripts intact and therefore closer to the original Japanese.
** Any scenes involving Wakiya removing his jacket to reveal him wearing weights were cut out.
** Episode 6 of season one removed the scene of Valt crashing into the doors of the mall due to arriving before they opened.
** Wakiya used a lighter to start a fire, but the lighter was edited out.
** Any time a character shows CrossPoppingVeins, ScaryTeeth (characters who already had sharp teeth; i.e Xander, Lui, etc. are exempt), blushes, or sheds tears; these are removed as well.
** The scene of Ken falling off a cliff is edited out and redone with him simply revealing that he and his family are moving away.
** One for the manga. Shu was visibly seen to get cut in the eye by Single-Layer Spryzen. The anime does away with this scene and the dub mentions only Lui being careless and doesn't explicitly say he scarred him.
** In season 2, episode 25, the scenes of Ana getting thrown back and Ren Wu crashing into a building are removed. Also, his staff and another Blader's nunchucks are recolored from their natural colors to green.
*** The crocodile Banner carries was also changed to a massive unknown wrapped object.
** In season 2, episode 5, the scene of Django attempting to put his arm around Shasa was cut possibly so younger viewers won't imitate his inappropriate behavior towards a girl.
** In season 2, episode 21 and 22, Kristina's back view has her wrists (box tie position) tied with ropes while dangling which was edited out so it only shows her wrists folded behind her back without the ropes securing it. Likely to make the movie-stunt look safer for Kristina who was in her teens at that time.
** Whenever Aiger changes modes on his Xtend+ driver, you can only see his hands moving and obscuring Achilles. In the original Japanese, you can see him properly adjust the tips. Possibly done to avoid misleading marketing of the toyline, in which Xtend+ was not adapted into the [=SlingShock=] system.
* BrokenBase:
** The third season, ''Beyblade Burst Turbo'' can be seen as this. One side of the fandom loves the season for its tone, unique ideas and being [[TruerToTheText closer to the Japanese version]], one side hates it for being too drama-heavy (at least in comparison to the previous two seasons) whilst another side think the season is fine, but prefer the first two seasons.
*** The season's slightly darker tone, in an otherwise light-hearted series has been very divisive amongst fans too.
** Hasbro's version of Takara Tomy's Turbo Beys, the "[=SlingShock System=]", has become heavily debated due to the Beys' Layers having their metal replaced with plastic.
** Takara Tomy's latest addition to the Turbo series, the "Turbo Awakening" series, has been met with some backdraft due to the fact the Beys have "Turbo Blades" to prevent Burst Finishes, although a "Full Awakened" state also requires an ''immense'' amount of launching strength to activate the blades, which is a lot harder to achieve for younger children. Hasbro's version retains the "Turbo Blades" though many have noted how much easier it is to push in the "Turbo Blades" in Hasbro's version.
** The new English voices for returning characters from Season three and onward due to the studio change. Some people don’t mind it, others not so much.
** Starting from season 3, anytime a "Legendary Blader" (Valt, Shu, Free, Lui) from the first two seasons loses to a character from the next generation ends up causing a division, especially when it's a protagonist. Some feel that many of these bladers should never be defeated or find issue if they're beaten too early, while others argue that eventually the protagonists and antagonists will catch up to them. The main points of debate are with characters such as Aiger [[note]] With some upset about how quickly he defeated Lui, while others point out he not only lost to Lui twice-with help the second time, but was on a losing streak from every other introduced Blader and had to work his way through all of them, and only barely beat Lui[[/note]], Arthur [[note]]who some hated for easily beating Aiger, though with Dante and Delta's defeating him showing that Aiger could've won had he known the Infinite Lock's weakness[[/note]], Hikaru & Hyuga [[note]]which some argue have grown too fast to battle their icons, with others pointing out that they were eliminated earlier on in the Legends Festival, with Hyuga only beating Free and Lui thanks to Valt pushing him further in the match, and never straight defeating the Legends until the Ultimate Tag Series. Even then, the two rarely have any consistent solo wins against the Legends. [[/note]], Lain [[note]]with his high win records being seen as [[AssPull ass pulls]] to some while others see it as part of his character growth in understanding that his desire for winning means nothing in spite of his strength[[/note]], and Bell. [[note]]for defeating Lui and Valt, earning the ire of fans tired of the Legends losing early in the series while others argue that Bell was using a stronger system and was the first time either pros experienced said system which allowed them to get their revenge upon upgrading.[[/note]]
** The series overall gets flak for not being as dark as the previous ''Beyblade'' series. Some people argue that ''Burst'' is unique for being more reality-grounded and kid-friendly, while others wish for darker and more serious themes. Others criticize the series's lack of making Beyblade SeriousBusiness, which was NarmCharm in previous series such as the ''Metal Saga'' (Moses parting the Red Sea with a Beyblade, anyone?).
** Fans are split whether or not Ilya Mao received fair treatment as the first major female blader. Her Magma Ifrit is a first for the franchise to be exclusive to Hasbro; some think it makes her special while others don't think it's fair that she didn't get a Takara Tomy bey (especially with Ifritor's poor performance in the toyline and not even giving it the proper color for its driver). Many have criticized how she was given the FauxActionGirl treatment like every female blader before her, while others are fine with her lack of wins because characters who are not veterans, protagonists, or antagonists normally have a poor win-loss ratio anyway.
* CatharsisFactor:
** Luinor breaking aside, seeing Shu/Red Eye finally defeat Lui after having been humiliated by him countless times is pretty satisfying.
** Valt defeating Shu and freeing him from Spryzen Requiem's control in the season 2 finale is a major ThrowTheDogABone for many.
** Hyde defeating Aiger is this to many considering how Aiger TookALevelInJerkass and started to break people's Beys up and down. Later, BigBad Phi destroying Aiger's bey Achilles is this even more to fans who believed this was payback for what Aiger did to Valt's bey without showing any remorse. Especially since, after this event, Aiger has a major HeelRealization and finally TookALevelInKindness that helped him develop into the likable blader that he is today.
* CaptainObviousReveal: The "reveal" in ''Evolution'' that the mysterious Red Eye is in fact Shu Kurenai was pretty much called from the moment Red Eye was introduced.
* ContestedSequel: A lot of fans who enjoyed season one didn't enjoy season 2 all that much due to pacing issues. Fans were divisive on the Red Eye arc: Either it's an interesting quest and they like Red Eye's mysterious appearance being similar to Shu, or it's disregarded as filler. The fact that this was a tournament season also resulted in comparing ''Evolution'' to Metal Masters and the WBO tournaments from the original series, favoring those over the current World Tournament in ''Evolution''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:D-H]]
* DeathOfTheAuthor: A small case of this. In late 2020, Hiro Morita confirmed the ages of some characters via Twitter that were previously ambiguous; such as Lui, Free and Silas. The problem stems from the fact that the text within the show goes against such ages [[https://twitter.com/safidraws/status/1343729516242489344?s=21 as]] [[https://twitter.com/safidraws/status/1380250338284933129?s=21 pointed]] [[https://twitter.com/safidraws/status/1380808576709591041?s=21 out]], many people believing they were older before this {{Retcon}}, leading to {{Fanon Discontinuity}} for some. Though arguably, the same can be said for other characters who are presumed [[YoungerThanTheyLook older]], and even then that's already a problem within the series overall, in due to character designs, given text, voices and mannerisms of said character(s).
* DesignatedHero: Bel is the protagonist and central focus of Season 6, but he's not exactly the "good guy". While previous protagonists are shown to have high confidence, his is borderline arrogance. Like Hyde, he rigs his home with elaborate traps which are done in good fun but could genuinely injure someone. He's never shown to do any training outside of battling, preferring to straight up evolve Belfyre every time he battles a new Legendary Blader (he's upgraded his bey more times than any other protagonist in his debut season). During the Dynamite Battle Tour, he interrupts battles, goes off schedule to challenge legends, and despite all that feels entitled to be the MVP. By no means is Bel malicious, but his behavior is enough to justify other characters disliking him. See DesignatedVillain below.
* DesignatedVillain:
** Lui may come off as a {{Jerkass}}, but he's just like any other blader who only strives to be the best.
** Theodore Glass is often portrayed as the BigBad of season 2 due to the shady vibes he gives off and being the leader of an intense underground training facility, but the worst he ever did was convince Free to leave BC Sol and coax Shu into joining the Snake Pit. And just like everybody else, he simply wants to win the World League by putting together a team of strong Bladers, and never outright resorts to cheating or deception. Not only that, but he gives exactly what Bladers want, giving them a chance to become stronger via the Snake Pit. And while his treatment of Bladers may seem a bit harsh, it's not unheard of for professional athletes to go through strict and high-intensity training. It also doesn't seem like he would punish a blader trying to quit as we see Boa and Shu leave on their own without repercussions.
** Team Rashad which includes Rashad himself, Ilya and Bashara. Their dislike of Bel is never shown to be hostile and at worst they show annoyance and disapproval because of his childish and arrogant behavior.
*** The worst Ilya had done to Bel was boss him around because it would be funny, but only because she won a bet that he agreed to as well.
*** Bashara leaving Bel's side was treated as a betrayal by Ranzo, but BC Sol is a genuinely good club that doesn't mistreat their bladers, Rashad even helps him out with his technique and in building his new Bey. Their current club is owned by the WBBA whose commissioner is Wakiya, who is still a good person and more mature than he was in Season 1 and 2. In fact, Bel looks down on him as a blader and it took Bahsara defeating Bel during the 3 on 3 team battles to even take him seriously.
*** As for Rashad, while he did destroy Belfyre, it's debatable whether that was his intention. His thoughts during the battle dwell on putting Bel in his place because he's been so self-centered the whole tour. However, when he breaks Valt's Savior Valkyrie he shows genuine anger and remorse for his actions because Valt is a good blader with proper sportsmanship, someone who he didn't think deserved it. Valt even admits that he pushed Valkyrie too much and Rashad was only looking to burst.
* DracoInLeatherPants: Lui often gets blamed for Shu becoming Red Eye. While he did once take things too far in season 1 by flinging Spryzen at Shu's eye and scarring him, and later trying to do the same thing to Valt, people often ignore the fact that it was Shu's own choice to betray his friends simply [[SoreLoser because he couldn't handle a few losses]].
* EstrogenBrigade: Shu is quite a popular character, and has a massive amount of fangirls.
* FanficFuel:
** Due to lack of insight on the Snake Pit, fans have many questions about it. How was it founded? What dark secrets does it have? What happened to the eliminated Masked Bladers?
** Norman’s disappearance at the end of Evolution #47. Fan art and fanfictions have spawned due to this.
** What could've happened to Raul that he needed a cybernetic eye?
** How did Lui become the hardened Blader he is now while living overseas?
** Valt and Shu swapping roles, with Shu being scouted by BC Sol and Valt as the one who joins the Snake Pit.
** With the reveal that Rantaro has family outside of Japan in the form of Ranzo, how many other relatives does he have?
** How did Wakiya gain his fear of heights?
** Rantaro's unexplained fear of unicorns.
* FanNickname: The "Turbo" Layer System was originally known in Japan as "Cho-Z(etsu)"[[note]]Literally "Super-Ultimate" in Japanese, the full term meaning "transcendence"[[/note]]. The western fandom took to reading it as "Cho-Z(ee)" or "Super Z" due to it being simpler and cooler. Similarly, due to the "Gatinko" system and the third anime series subtitle "Gachi" being commonly [[SpellMyNameWithAnS shortened to/written as]] just "GT" in Japan, the western fandom took to coining the generation's name as such.
* {{Fanon}}: Thanks to popular fanfiction writers from this fandom, a lot of fans headcanon that Norman had a sad backstory.
** Since Silver Eye had little to no personality, a lot of fans portray him as cocky and annoying (though the latter is mainly used for laughs).
** Theodore being depicted as a doting dad to the Snake Pit bladers, especially to Gold Eye.
** Shasa and Ichika are often given non-generic Beyblades because many find their personalities and characters too likable for someone considered just an extra character, and give them more prominent involvement.
* FirstInstallmentWins: Most people tend to agree that the first season was the best, due to having a more consistent storyline and good, fleshed out characters.
* GeniusBonus:
** Dante's decision to reveal his chosen Layer Base for Dragon was treated as a blunder. In actuality, in matches where you are allowed to switch parts, it is often a rule that you must show your opponent what you have changed or chosen.
** Pay attention to the type of stadiums used for major tournaments. Standard ones were used for the National's, International Blader's Cup, World League, and Championship Titles. While lesser tournaments such as the Bey Carnival and Battleship Cruise use gimmicky stadiums like the double decker or oddly-shaped ones. Major Beyblade tournaments often use some variation of a standard circular shaped stadium because it allows for the most fair performance for every type.
* GrowingTheBeard: While season four has fans, some found the first half of the season lacking due to slow pacing, the shorter runtime causing the already smaller cast getting less screen time, and misbalancing of the cast in favor of Dante (who some found boring) and Delta being the only ones to grow. Once the second half swoops in, Arthur's entrance introduced a central antagonist for the plot, Dante's more likable attributes were elevated in part with his dynamic with Gwyn's debut and character arc, the Victories vs Inferno battles resulted in much needed CharacterDevelopment for Arman and Delta, minor characters such as Blindt and Fumiya got some closure to their characters, and the endgame battles being some of the best in the series.
* HarsherInHindsight:
** Valt's tactic of convincing Shu to battle Ken by humorously claiming that the latter was secretly plotting to destroy his Bey becomes a lot less humorous when we see Shu actually begin to destroy Beys as Red Eye in season 2; and even moreso with Phi in season 3.
** One of Zac's disguises in season one featured a medical mask. Not so funny anymore after the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. [[note]] Japan has always had mask mandates long before the COVID-19 pandemic, so Zac wearing a mask isn’t anything new, but to a western audience, this could be viewed as such.
** Luinor was revealed to have cut Shu's eye and given him a scar as well as technically causing the first on-screen destruction of a Bey. Later, the Japanese Superking released Rage Longinus was infamous for chipping, cracking and wearing down the layers of its opponents as well as incidents where someone would get scraped by its jaggy shape by picking it up while spinning.
** Ken nearly falling of a cliff in season 1 and later being OutOfFocus and PutOnABus after season 2 have become this after Gabe Khouth's sudden death in July 2019.
** Seeing characters such as Shu and Free injure their arms while Beyblading has become this with the reveal of ''Quadstrike'' character Pax, who was not only unable to compete in the International Blader's Cup due to his injury, but was forced to retire as a Blader altogether.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The main characters' shock at the existence of a Shadow Cognite, as well as Cuza's losing streak in ''Evolution'' becomes this as ''Turbo'' uses multiple PaletteSwap Alter Cognite models as a [[ButtMonkey common losing Beyblade model used by unnamed minor characters]].
*** The Kinetic Satomb model also received the same PaletteSwap ButtMonkey treatment too, which is made funnier when ''Silas shows up with the original'' to challenge Valt's next-generation Beyblade -- One can tell he ''never'' stood a chance.
** In ''Rise'', Creator/KenshoOno voices Delta Zakuro, whose partner is a crimson Bey named ''Diabolos''. In [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureGoldenWind another recent anime he was featured in]], his greatest ''enemy'' is a man named ''Diavolo'', who has an ability called King ''Crimson''.
** It was commonly pointed out that the characters looked and sounded older than their actual ages, especially in the dub. Four years later, most of the original cast are now in their teens.
** Hyde was often overshadowed by his brother, Phi during their youth. In the 2020 popularity poll, Hyde took 10th place over Phi by three votes.
** In Round 4 of Beigoma Academy's battle with Rideout, the announcer demonstrates that anyone from the team can be chosen to represent in the following battles, notably showing Lui matched up against Rantaro (Who is very much outmatched). In ''Surge'', Rantaro ends up battling Lui one-on-one in a Tag-Battle and surprisingly he ''holds his own''. He lost the battle, but it was Dante who scored against him and not Lui.
** When Valtryek's Reboot Driver broke in ''Evolution'', Rantaro offered Roktavor's Flugel Driver which has a sharp tip. Although Valt never used it, come ''[=QuadDrive=]'' and he uses the Shot Driver which has a sharp tip, the very first to not use a purely flat one.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:I-R]]
* InformedWrongness: Wakiya disqualifying Bel from the Champion's Challenge Tournament is meant to be seen as him being unfair to the latter. However, considering Bel has been established to have a blatant disregard for the rules, nearly got the former injured while using Aiger's training machine AND pulled the same zipline prank on him as Ranzo, Wakiya actually has legitimate reason to kick him out of the tournament. It also doesn't help that right after Valt and Aiger convince him to let Bel back in, he immediately resorts to ''cheating'' in order to get ahead.
* JerkassWoobie:
** Wakiya becomes this in episode 45. It's hard not to feel sorry for him when he breaks down in tears after losing to Shu.
** Stan counts as this too after feeling unimportant to BC Sol in episode 20 of ''Evolution''.
* JerksAreWorseThanVillains: Well, ''villain'' is likely pushing it, but certain antagonists such as Lui and Shu (during his Red Eye phase) are entertaining to watch and often have redeeming qualities that make them popular. Characters such as Stan and Trad on the other hand, have no such traits and are hated due to their jerkass behavior toward the protagonists.
* JustHereForGodzilla: Many fans have tuned into the fifth season for the sole purpose of seeing the return of characters from the original cast.
* LauncherOfAThousandShips:
** Valt can be seen as one, especially considering his friendships with most of the characters and major prescence in most seasons.
** While the TokenGirl of each season (Shasa, Ichika, etc.) has found ships among the cast of their debut season due to having similar ages, Ilya has gained ships with characters across various seasons due to her being older and them growing up. Notably, Shu and Valt.
* MemeticBadass: Due to how some people find Rantaro unimpressive, some fans took to portraying him as a badass behind the scenes. Cue depictions such as Rantaro slaying monsters while he's offscreen to going Super Mode. His [[TookALevelInBadass taking several levels in badass]] and rising to Legendary Blader status in season 5 has also helped this.
* MemeticLoser: The Ragnaruk/Roktavor Beys are notoriously bad and each iteration does nothing to improve the constant problems that it has, mainly poor burst resistance and an overall light design, which is supposed to be weak against Attack Types naturally as a Stamina Type, but even other Stamina Type beys have some level of resistance. Even some Balance Type beys do Ragnaruk's job better like the Spriggan/Spryzen lines and even individual beys like Helios Volcano. The Kiyama brother's almost consistently poor win/loss ratio per each season of the show certainly didn't help.
* MemeticMolester: Theodore Glass's shady behavior and motives led to fans jokingly calling him a pedophile, especially with his focus on Shu.
* MemeticMutation:
** [[https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/680850717589635088/843992967659126824/image0-28.jpg Hot Valt]].[[labelnote:Explanation]] This frame from ''DB'' became quickly memed on for its unexpected portrayal of Valt, which resulted in some people thinking Valt looks attractive. Others say that he resembles a Jojo character in this frame. This image is often reposted for laughs and many people resorted to using it as a profile picture.[[/labelnote]]
** [[https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/843363564176539669/867973779551318056/image0.png “What are you doing, Valt?”]][[labelnote:Explanation]] This scene of Valt rubbing Rashad’s stomach from ''DB'' is often referred to due to how suggestive it looks. It does not help that Valt makes a questionable noise while rubbing him, which is frequently said as the reason why people ship Valt with Rashad.[[/labelnote]]
** Male/Discount Elsa.[[labelnote:Explanation]] Plenty of people compare Gwyn’s androgynous design to Elsa from Disney’s ''Frozen''. As such, people jokingly call him a discount version of her, while some joke that he is her genderbent version. Even his VA, Creator/CristinaVee [[https://twitter.com/cristinavee/status/1248685540028735488?s=21 agrees!]] [[/labelnote]]
** Valt with his hair down.[[labelnote:Explanation]] [[https://twitter.com/kd_sketchs/status/1641002440941268994?s=46&t=5pU92cXAQXylRK-u7Sitbg Lots]] [[https://twitter.com/envarfuraito02/status/1643124392409571331?s=46&t=5pU92cXAQXylRK-u7Sitbg of]] [[https://twitter.com/aiiroyuri48/status/1643244432324702211?s=46&t=5pU92cXAQXylRK-u7Sitbg fanart]] of Valt made its rounds from the first episode of Quadstrike, due to simply [[LettingHerHairDown having his hair down.]][[/labelnote]]
* MemeticPsychopath:
** It's common within the fanfiction community to make Shu more villainous than he is in Canon. Plenty of stories worsen his mental state during his Red Eye phase, and others amplify his rivalry with Lui to the point he wants to ''kill'' the latter. Other people joke about making Shu evil just to anger the fangirl community.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: All the characters have impressive beyblading skills, but Valt's are especially epic, considering he has come up with winning strategies without even knowing about it.
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: The sound of a Burst Finish, Ring-Out Finish, or of points being awarded can be ''very'' satisfying to hear after a hard-fought battle.
* {{Narm}}:
** Valt's depression after losing Victory Valtryek is supposed to be tearjerking due to how attached he is to his Bey, but it comes off as more funny than sad because of his "zombie"-like state.
** Shu being "possessed" by Spryzen is pretty hard to take seriously alone, but one scene in Episode 50 of ''Evolution'' takes the cake.
---> '''Theodore''': ''You've done well, Red Eye. Very impressive! Keep up the good work and victory will soon be yours. Then the last phase of the Requiem Project will be complete. (picks up Spryzen)''
---> '''Shu''': ''Hands off!''
---> '''Theodore''': ''Huh? What do you say?''
---> '''Shu''': ''LET GO OF ME THIS SECOND!!!''
** Delta's extremely sudden depression after his Bey breaking. It's comically absurd how quickly he goes from his usual self to complete, mute despair upon witnessing the break. His symbolic change in hair texture doesn't help either. ("Even his hair is depressed!") His despair is treated with complete, dramatic seriousness in-universe, which makes it even funnier to viewers who can't take the development seriously.
** Wakiya's return in ''[=QuadDrive=]'' was accompanied by his airship. Viewers were quick to note that the ship resembles a whale at an angle, which causes some chuckles. Especially since some noted that his ship could have resembled a wyvern.
** Certain name changes of Beys in the English dub can cross into this, mostly to keep the series kid-friendly by avoiding any religious undertones. (i.e Longinus/Luinor, Raphael/Regnar, etc.)
* NeverLiveItDown:
** Even though he's been long since forgiven for the Red Eye debacle, some fans will never let Shu live down pushing Valt aside and ordering him to get out of his way, especially since it's left ambiguous as to whether or not he was brainwashed during that time.
** Some people will also never forget the moment where Shu rips one of Ken's puppets, either.
** Many fans were outraged when Aiger shattered Valt's Wonder Valtryek. It doesn't help that almost ''nobody'' (except for Free, Fubuki, Taiga, and the twins) cared about what happened ''at all'', acting nonchalant about the whole situation, and only cared that Aiger won.
* NightmareRetardant: If one takes Phi's backstory into account, his actions in ''Turbo'' can be a lot less terrifying than they seem. He’s acting very much like any child would — being upset about not getting the Bey he wanted.
* OneSceneWonder: Even though it was only for a few seconds, Shu finally appears in episode 12 of ''Turbo''.
* RealismInducedHorror: In an animated series about spinning tops, Pax's gaslighting and emotional manipulation of his sister often parallel the basics of abusive relationships in real life.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap:
** Aiger was initially a BaseBreakingCharacter to some fans, due to his InstantExpert status and over-inflated ego. However, later episodes have him losing more often and becoming friendlier and more humble, which has helped him gain some popularity.[[labelnote:*]]He even managed to land 10th place in the character popularity poll.[[/labelnote]] Although his popularity took a hit when he, under the effects of his dark resonance, destroyed Wonder Valtryek and stole Valt's title of World Champion. Fortunately, he's starting to win back some fans now that's he's been brought back to his senses and on the right path to becoming a better Blader. This reception is resonated upon his return in the next season with great fanfare.
** Fumiya was originally seen by many as a ReplacementScrappy for Free due to owning a Fafnir Bey, but once his backstory was revealed: He actually based his Wizard Fafnir off of Free's Geist Fafnir, and took up Beyblading to impress his sister Ichika, fans started warming up to him. It helps that he provides a lot of comedic moments for the season as well.
** Bel, like Aiger, is a BaseBreakingCharacter, which can be best described as taking the worst aspects of Aiger and magnifying them. That alongside his childish attitude constantly places him as a DesignatedHero. That being said, Bel is far more tolerable in ''[=QuadStrike=]''. While this may be due to splitting the spotlight between him and his new rival Pri, thus he isn't assaulting the screen as much as he did in his debut season, they also toned down his childishness and presents his theatrics as a positive influence to those around him.
* ReplacementScrappy:
** Since his debut in the ''Turbo'' series, Kyle Hakim has become this to fans of Ken, as he also wields a Kerbeus, the same motif as Ken's bey.
*** The main complaints stem from his lack of connection with Ken, as the anime has made no attempt to explain how he got a Kerbeus outside of briefly mentioning he went through harsh conditions to get it.
** Joshua has also become one to Zac, due to him having a much larger ego and hubris.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:S-W]]
* TheScrappy:
** Stan isn't well liked by a portion of the fanbase, because of his petty grudge against Valt as well as coming off as a massive {{Jerkass}} toward him after Django leaves BC Sol. It also doesn't help that he faced no consequences for spreading a false rumor about Valt, either. [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap However, this is lessened somewhat after he later joins SB Rios]], where he's seen interacting with Valt and Rantaro on friendlier terms.
** Trad is also this for mostly the same reasons as Stan, such as his cynical and unpleasant demeanor, his closed-mindedness towards the newer team recruits and bias against Valt (including blaming him for the team's faults), and turning a blind eye to Stan's bullying, and his shallow reason for leaving BC Sol (Free was there at the time). It doesn't help that [[KarmaHoudini he's never once been called out for it]], and is usually always presented as the one in the right.
** You'll be hard-pressed to find any fans of Arthur Peregrine. He is often regarded as the weakest antagonist of Beyblade Burst, due to not even having a FreudianExcuse for why he wants to take over the WBBA., unlike Red Eye or Phi (albeit, Phi had a ridiculously petty excuse). What doesn't help is that he's basically replaced by Gwyn for the final arc as the main antagonist. To further drive the point home, he was ranked as the least popular character in the 2020 poll. It also doesn't help that in one of his first appearances, he interrupts a really good battle between Delta and Aiger, and it just goes downhill from there.
* SpecialEffectFailure:
** In almost all of Blast Jinnius' appearances, it is without its Core Disk, leaving the Frame looking like it's floating around. This gets close up shots too, so it's very easy to notice and makes it glaring to say the least.
** In Episode 4 of Beyblade Burst Evolution, as Wakiya is about to use Shield Crash against Berserk Roktavor, a brief shot of Wild Wyvron could clearly be seen rolling back instead of Tempest Wyvron.
** A brief shot in Turbo reveals a generic Maximum Garuda having a normal set of teeth. (Maximum has only one, shallow tooth)
** When Dante scored a Burst against Aiger in episode 14 of ''Rise'', his bey is shown to be Command Dragon despite using Ace Dragon in that match and hasn't upgraded it yet.
** In Episode 1 of Surge, Sword Valtryek could be seen during the clash between Satomb and Roktavor instead of Brave Valtryek.
** Despite World Spryzen being Dual-Spin, Shu had been using a standard red Sparking Launcher without implications of changing spin direction or swapping it for a Left-Spin one.
** In ''Evolution'' #46, we see strike Valtryek slow down to a stop. However, her Ultimate Reboot Driver doesn't have a retracted tip, the ability activates at low speeds which should have triggered then.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Hasbro's adaptation of the Beyblades from ''Turbo'' under their ''Slingshock System'' was met with heavy disappointment due to [[FamilyFriendlyFirearms replacing originally metal parts in the Energy Layer with child-safer plastic]]. While having attempted to make up for it with Slingshock-exclusive unique gimmicks, their overall lighter weight still leaves them less useful and competitive than their heavier metal-clad Japanese counterpart, some being even weaker than their ''predecessor'' models.
** Brutal Luinor becomes weaker than its predecessors due to being the only Beyblade in the Luinor line to lack any metal in its Energy Layer.
** Orb Engaard was originally known for its unique suction cup gimmick that held it in place on the stadium, greatly reducing its chances of being knocked out. In ''Slingshock'' however, the soft rubber Quest Performance Tip was instead molded with hard plastic, allowing for aggressive movement around the stadium akin to an Attack-type, which is unfitting considering Orb Engaard was meant to be a Defense-type Bey.
** A popular combination for the Phoenix line of energy layers is referred to as Perfect Phoenix in which you take Revive Phoenix's metal-infused layer and put Dread Phoenix's metal-infused armor on it [[note]]The reverse of this combo is referred to as Imperfect Phoenix, made of the pure-plastic leftover parts[[/note]]. This produces a heavier energy layer to complement the defensive style of the Phoenix Beys. Hasbro, in an attempt to help players who haven't gotten a Phoenix Bey yet, released Perfect Phoenix as a single product, as a Balance type with Forge Disk 1 instead of 10 and the Tower-S driver instead of Friction-S and no metal in the energy layer nor the armor. This makes it heavily imbalanced and actively hinders Perfect Phoenix.
** A similar thing is happening with Hasbro's ''Rise'' Beys called the ''[=HyperSphere=] System'' in which the Performance Tips are rounded out to interact with an elongated skate pool style stadium called the [=HyperSphere=] stadium by climbing the rink. The problem is that they removed nearly everything that made GT Beys unique and customizable. Mainly the Energy Layer, which has the Layer Weight molded into the base as a single piece of plastic and turning the GT chip into a glorified Bit chip. In addition, the Forge Disks are smaller than the GT ones and they do not have extra framing, but can be used with pre-existing frames because of this. This makes the Beys incredibly light yet bulky with very few gimmicks other than its own. This also made the Beys completely incompatible with a standard Beystadium, as the increased surface area contact with the Performance Tip causes the Beys to fly out of the stadium and incur a self-ring out.
*** Even worse, individual Bey gimmicks have been removed. While the changes to Hasbro's Slingshock line did remove the metal off their Turbo Beys, they retained their respective gimmicks as best they could, the Phoenix Armors and the Turbo Awakening are the prime examples. The Rise Beys removed their gimmicks altogether, thus Devolos has no bullet mode on its tip, Apocalypse's layer does not freely rotate around, and Dragon lost the battery powered Ignition tip. Once again, replacing all of these gimmicks with the [=HyperSphere=] gimmick.
** In order to appeal to fans that wanted more accurate Takara Tomy Beys, mainly the Cho-Z and GT Beys, Hasbro had released the Pro Series, which is supposed to maintain all gimmicks that Takara Tomy Beys have. However, many have noticed that the Pro Series isn't ''exactly'' like Takara Tomy Beys, they are made with weaker material, meaning a lighter Bey that gets worn out easily. This especially becomes noticeable with how they implement the teeth. This ends up ruining the Bey and you might as well still import a Takara Tomy Bey.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter:
** In ''Turbo'', Toko becomes free from his role as MrExposition and instead finally becomes a recurring blader owning his own unique bey. He even had his own focus in Episode 9 of said season and in Episode 13, he's left in charge of the Bey Club by Fubuki. Unfortunately, it seems to have stopped there (as of now anyway) since his screentime has been reduced once again and is constantly OutOfFocus, which is a shame since the character went from the {{Moe}} to someone with a backbone and interesting development.
** Despite Guardian Kerbeus and Galaxy Zeutron being featured in the [=SwitchStrike=] system, Ken and Zac each had little to nonexistent roles in ''Evolution''.
*** Zac got it even worse due to being the only Supreme Four Blader to never appear at all in ''Turbo''.
** Lui only appeared during the Luinor Cup arc of ''Turbo'' and was never seen for the rest of the season. This has left fans imagining what a battle between him and Phi would've been like, especially since it was implied that he had a history with Phi. Thankfully, he returns in ''Surge''.
** Originally a manga-exclusive character, Count Nightfell was brought in for the Dread Tower arc of the anime series, and then disappears afterwards, with no further explanation for his Bey-theiving ways.
** Hae-jin from ''Turbo,'' disappeared after his elimination from the Battleship Cruise, reduced to only cameos. Some had hoped he'd return later given his backstory with battling Valt was never addressed or assist Aiger in training to face off against Phi like the rest of the main cast.
** Though Victories vs Inferno was well received, some had wished the battle was a 4 vs 4 so characters such as Fumiya or Pheng (on Victories), and Joe (Inferno) could get one final battle in the series.
** After Wakiya returned in ''Surge'', many fans who were hoping for a reunion of the original Beigoma Academy Bey Club were disappointed that Daigo and Ken were not brought back (especially since Daigo had a new Doomscizor Bey in the manga). While Ken does return in ''[=QuadStrike=]'', Daigo's only appearance outside of flashbacks was just a cameo in the series finale.
** Phelix Payne was considered one of the worst parts of season 6. Many felt that he should have been the main antagonist instead of Rashad. His purpose in the series was to establish Rashad as having faults due to his insults causing Phelix to hate him, but his arc was too short and happened too late into the series. Once he was done with his episodes, he disappears from the plot and is never mentioned again. It's as if his entire existence was to promote a new Phoenix Bey.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** Some feel the Snake Pit arc wasn't properly resolved. Besides pacing issues, there was no origin on the place and Theodore walks away facing no repercussions.
** Had Valt remained as the series' main protagonist, this would've made for a potential arc of him struggling to maintain his title of World Champion, as well as possibly learn the downsides to being the Number 1 Blader in the world, as we saw with Free.
** Daigo was implied to have some deep-seated insecurities in episode 23. This arc only lasted for three episodes and was never brought up again outside of a few mentions in passing.
** Given the lack of focus on what Shu went through in the Snake Pit besides donning the Red Eye mask and going through the Requiem Project, many feel that his plot in ''Evolution'' was rushed and that he should've been given more time to reflect on his choices and realize his mistakes.
** Despite Phi constantly seeking to destroy Valt after targeting his closest friends, we never get to see them battle due to Aiger defeating Phi in the penultimate episode of ''Turbo''.
** Arman and Pheng were starting a rivalry to see who could develop their Hyper-Flux. While Arman eventually did, Pheng never achieved it, which confused some when fellow Risen 3 member Blindt unlocked Dark-Flux.
** While the fight itself was well done as possible and fitting for the last battle for the entire series, many fans feel like the final battle should have been [[spoiler: Pri battling Pax instead of Bel]] due to it being much more fitting for the two to have such a climatic battle as the culmination of the drama occurring in their relationship that's been building up throughout the entire season and has been the emotional center of.
* UnexpectedCharacter:
** Who'd have expected Kit to return in Turbo with a new Beyblade?
** Wakiya returning in [=QuadDrive=] after appearing in Surge came out of left field for many.
** [=QuadStrike=] saw Ken returning, a nice surprise as we never saw him since Evolution.
* UnintentionallySympathetic:
** As much as a jerk Lui is, the worst he's ever done is scar Shu and belittle Bladers he views as beneath him, and he simply wants to be the best blader, a right he possesses just as much as the rest of the cast does. Seeing his Nightmare Luinor break during his battle with Shu in the International Blader's Cup can make one want to feel bad for Lui, even if some argue that he deserved it.
** While Aiger had been acting like an arrogant jerk for most of the season, and his possessed behavior and refusal to listen to others didn't help, many fans felt that having his Z Achilles get destroyed was too much.
** We're supposed to hate Delta for refusing to acknowledge Dante and being rude to him, but most of his behavior is driven by envy/jealousy due to the latter (seemingly) being favored by Valt, even though he had been training at BC Sol longer than him. His actions become a lot more understandable with all that in mind.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic:
** Shu has had many terrible things happen to him (getting scarred by Lui, his Bey breaking, and getting brainwashed), but it becomes hard to sympathize with him once you realize ''most'' of what happened to him was his own fault (except for the scarring), as he was aware that his Storm Spryzen wasn't in condition to battle Lui, yet went along with it anyway, resulting in said destruction of his Bey.
*** This got worse in season 2, after we learn that he willingly threw away all of his friendships and allowed himself to be possessed by Spryzen Requiem for the sake of becoming powerful enough to beat Lui and Free. He also had no qualms about breaking other peoples' Beys. It also doesn't help that whenever he has a problem, he tends to push away those who want to help him. Another thing that tends to be a turn-off for most people is that Shu only decides to apologize to his friends after Valt defeats him in the International Blader’s Cup, but simply says "I'm sorry" without saying what he's sorry for, which made it seem like he only felt bad for losing instead of betraying them for selfish reasons.
** Yugo was understandably angry at Daigo for cheating in their battle, but any sympathy he may have had vanishes when he not only refuses to forgive Daigo (who bent over backwards to atone for his mistake, and even went the extra mile by dropping out of the match to allow the former to take his place), but even straight up tells him he doesn't deserve to be a Blader.
** Django in episode 6. We're supposed to feel sorry for him after he gets [[DemotedToExtra demoted to the B-team]], but how can we feel bad for him when he and Stan have antagonized Valt and Rantaro, [[{{Hypocrite}} as well as treating them as bottom ranks]]?
*** Stan also qualifies in this area just the same.
** In season 2 episode 20, we’re made to feel bad for Trad when Kris ignores his advice and suggestions, which culminates in him deciding to transfer to the Raging Bulls. However, he is almost always seen criticizing Kris' decisions despite her being the club manager, blaming Valt for the team's losses, refusing to acknowledge or even have any faith in the newer recruits, and doing nothing to stop Stan's bullying (even going as far as to treat him as the ''victim''). Also, his blatant favoritism towards Free was essentially his only reason for leaving BC Sol. He does later admit to Kris that she was right to believe in her team, though he never actually apologizes for his earlier attitude and many consider it "too little too late".
** As mentioned above, while some people felt bad for Aiger when his Bey was shattered, others felt that him being upset about it when he had earlier done the exact same thing to Valt and acted like it was nothing made him come off as a hypocrite.
** Bel is kind of in the same boat as Aiger when Destruction Belfyre is destroyed. Sure, Rashad didn't mean to break Belfyre, but considering how Bel has been acting during the entire tour, one wouldn't be blamed for thinking that he deserved it to some degree. Especially since when reforging Belfyre, he doesn't really learn from his poor behavior and continues to demand matches even when he hasn't earned the right to them.
* VindicatedByHistory: Though the first season was (and still is) popular, those who didn't enjoy it at the time of its release will look back at it more fondly now when compared to ''Evolution'', which suffered from pacing issues.
** This is later inverted, since ''Evolution'' seems to have gained a lot more attention as of now and is arguably more well-known compared to the first series, with more focus on popular characters like Free and Shu.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: Beyblade Burst is heavily praised for its beautiful visuals and amazing animation. This can mostly been seen in the later seasons, especially in the final battle of each season.
* {{Wangst}}: Some have found it hard to feel bad for Shu during season 2, with him betraying his friends and destroying other people's Beys, all because he lost to Lui and Free.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: The simulations that Shu undergoes in the Requiem Project are rather dark, considering that this series is supposed to be more kid-friendly.
