''Film/DarkPhoenix'' is even set in space. And yet it's remained serious, because the anti-bigotry message was always at its core, even when it's not the main plot. It's not adequate for him to merely be an educator; he also wants to be their adored and revered father figure, which is why he devotes so much of his time and energy assisting with their psychological well-being.
