Macey Estrella-Kadlec (née Evans; born March 24, 1990) is an American {{professional wrestl|ing}}er. She previously worked for Wrestling/{{WWE}} under the ring name Lacey Evans.

A military police officer in the U.S. Marines, she was originally introduced to wrestling through a staff sergeant who promoted independent shows on the side. She trained and began her career on the independent circuit in Georgia.

She started working for WWE in their [[Wrestling/{{WWENXT}} NXT]] developmental territory in 2016, participating in the inaugural ''[[Wrestling/WWEMaeYoungClassic Mae Young Classic]]'', before debuting on the main roster in December 2018.

After she made some small screen time with WWE, she left the company on August 2023.

!!"The Sassy Southern Tropes":
* AbortedArc: Charlotte Flair vs. Lacey Evans. Their feud first started in early 2021, as she flirts with her father, Wrestling/RicFlair and tries to get into Charlotte's skin. But when she announced her pregnancy on February 15, this would put the feud out the window. Concurrently, she was scheduled for to face Asuka for Raw Women's Championship at Elimination Chamber which she was reportedly planned to win.
* ActionMom: She has two daughters, the eldest of which got brought during her feud with Wrestling/SashaBanks and Wrestling/{{Bayley}} that saw Evans [[HeelFaceTurn turn face.]]
* AlphaBitch: She claims to be on a mission to bring "class" back to the women's division, which seems to consist of nothing but her acting like this. She would later ascend to AntiHero status as of her feud with Wrestling/SashaBanks and Wrestling/{{Bayley}}. She still acts like a bitch, but her claims of wanting to bring "class" back to the women's division now seem more sincere, and she doesn't take cowardice very well.
* AmazonianBeauty: Especially on NXT, both the fact that she was well-toned ''and'' that she had old-timey pin-up looks [[https://www.themix.net/files/2019/02/tumblr_ownhgtYxly1rmv1vdo1_400.gif were emphasized.]]
* AnachronismStew: The style of her attire is straight out of the '40s or '50s, but her theme song has a '90s sound to it.
* AntiHero: Her feud with Wrestling/SashaBanks and Wrestling/{{Bayley}} saw her transcend to this. She still acts like a bitch, but her claims of wanting to bring "class" back to the women's division now seem more sincere, and she doesn't take cowardice very well.
* ArchEnemy:
** She positioned herself as Wrestling/BeckyLynch's most important enemy on the Raw brand after Lacey was called up from NXT and Becky won the Raw Women's Championship.
** From late 2019, she has two in Wrestling/SashaBanks and Wrestling/{{Bayley}}, standing up to them after the two blamed the women's locker room for dropping the ball at Wrestling/SurvivorSeries.
** Naomi, following her FaceHeelTurn after losing to her in Karaoke Showdown.
** Wrestling/CharlotteFlair in early 2021.
* BattleCouple: Of a non-romantic variant with Wrestling/BaronCorbin, as a direct response to Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins' utilization of this trope, after she was chosen by Corbin as the crooked special referee for his and Rollins's Universal Championship match at ''Stomping Grounds 2019''.
* BerserkButton: As mentioned in MamaBear, do ''NOT'' mess with Lacey’s daughter.
* BoringButPractical: In a universe that runs on SerialEscalation, Evans (despite having more impressive capabilities in her own arsenal) opts to end matches by simply punching her opponent in the face really hard.
* {{Catchphrase}}: Mainly on Twitter; "''Looooord'' (look at 'em/me)."
* DirtyCoward: At ''Extreme Rules 2019'', Lacey was too frightened by Seth Rollins, who was beating the crap out of Baron Corbin after he attacked Becky Lynch, and walked away from the match, making no effort to help Corbin.
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: Personally sings her 2022 theme song, Bet On Me.
* {{Eagleland}}: Her outfits and demeanor invoke Type 1, although in late 2017-2018 she turned heel and edged much closer to Type 2.
* FinishingMove:
** A [[BoringButPractical simple but devastating]] OneHitKO punch called "The Woman's Right".
** Upon her return in January 2023, she began using the Cobra Clutch.
* HeelFaceTurn: She turned face in late November 2019 after calling Sasha Banks and Bayley "cowards who can do nothing but blame others".
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Happened often during the 2022 year. Going for a face-turn in her vignettes sharing her troubled past on [=SmackDown=], she was moved to Raw to be a heel. A few episodes later, she returns announcing support of the troops, becoming a face. But this was a ruse as, on the July 8 edition of [=SmackDown=], she would attack Aliyah and refuse to compete with her [[DudeWheresMyRespect until she gets the respect she deserves]], turning her heel once again.
* HeelRealization: In her words justifying her HeelFaceTurn, "If your pen stinks, it's probably the pig."
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: While she does have a somewhat flirtatious gimmick, an interesting variant of this happened at ''Extreme Rules 2019''. As she was entering the ring, the cameraman attempted to highlight the fact that she had "SETH" inscribed on her trunks' rear end, but it was angled a ''little'' too low -- meaning that, unbeknownst to her, she [[https://streamable.com/6y80q unintentionally gave the WWE Universe a prime view of her butt]].
* InsultOfEndearment: Lacey is very appreciative of her fans, but still refers to them as “Ya nasties” in live streams.
* InterruptingMeme: Since moving up from NXT, her randomly showing up during matches and in-ring segments (and doing pretty much nothing else besides walking out on stage, waving to the crowd, and leaving) has become one of her defining features. Finally changed it up the night after ''[=WrestleMania=] 35'' by socking Wrestling/BeckyLynch in the jaw.
* LiteralAssKicking: On the receiving end of one; Wrestling/BeckyLynch kicked Evans in the ass at ''Extreme Rules 2019'' while Evans was showing off the fact that she had "SETH" (for Wrestling/SethRollins, Lynch's boyfriend) inscribed on the rear end of her trunks.
* MamaBear: Do NOT make fun of her daughter, ever! Bayley and Sasha Banks learned that the hard way.
* MsFanservice: She very much prides herself on beauty, and her frame-fitting fashion sense and seductive attitude clearly show it.
* OneHitKO: "The Woman's Right", which is basically punching her opponent in the face really hard.
* OhCrap: She was shown visibly terrified by Wrestling/SethRollins's ExtremeMeleeRevenge against Wrestling/BaronCorbin after [[WouldHitAGirl Corbin attacked]] Wrestling/BeckyLynch [[WouldHitAGirl with an End of Days]] at ''Extreme Rules 2019'', causing her to [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere hightail out of the ring and leave Corbin behind]].
* PunnyName: "The Woman's ''Right''" is literally her giving a right hand to her opponent.
* RedBaron: "The Lady" (on NXT it was "The Lady of NXT", on the main roster is "The Lady of WWE"). On the main roster, she also gained "The Sassy Southern Belle".
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: She hightailed out of her match at ''Extreme Rules 2019'' after seeing an enraged Wrestling/SethRollins deliver a beatdown on Wrestling/BaronCorbin.
* SemperFi: Was a U.S. Marine in real life before becoming a professional wrestler, which was mentioned by Evans herself on a June 2019 episode of ''Raw''.
** Vignettes leading up to her return in January 2023 saw a greater emphasis on her military background, explaining that she was going back-to-basics, stripping away every aspect of her previous southern Belle character.
* SouthernBelle: Billed from South Carolina, she has the [[UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents drawl]], the wardrobe (prim-and-proper '40s-'50s outfits when not competing), and even carries a handkerchief for mock-fainting (which she sometimes even stuffs into the mouth of her opponents). Her RedBaron on the main roster is actually "The Sassy Southern Belle".
* StatuesqueStunner: She's 5'8.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The girly girl to Wrestling/BeckyLynch's tomboy in their feud after ''[=WrestleMania=] 35''. The two are "The Lady" and "The Man" respectively. With Becky's aggressive persona looking to be ground-breaking in the women's division and Lacey's SouthernBelle-cum-AlphaBitch persona that appears to be a throwback to TheForties and [[TheFifties '50s]], they couldn't {{foil}} each other better if they tried. Even better is how this dynamic is fully [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] between the two, with Lacey arguing that her mission is to bring "class" back to the women's division that Becky is ruining by being a bad example for young girls and even making barbs about Becky being a "typical man".
* {{Troll}}: If only judging by her frequently messing with haters on Twitter [[ForTheEvulz for shits and giggles]].
* {{Tuckerization}}: Her "Lacey Evans" ring name [[https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/from-the-marines-to-the-mat-sky-is-the-limit/article_3d960626-89a1-11e7-b4e0-0b483e135067.html is her sister's real maiden name.]] Plus, the lady's own real name is Macey, meaning that her own maiden name is ''M''acey Evans.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Her InterruptingMeme of walking out on stage during matches during the first few months of her call-up to the main roster actually caused disastrous results to wrestlers who got distracted by it, such as [[Wrestling/KanakoUrai Asuka]], who lost a match to Mandy Rose (and subsequently gave Rose a match for Asuka's [=SmackDown=] Women's Championship), and Wrestling/{{Elias}}, who ate an RKO from Wrestling/RandyOrton at ''Fastlane 2019'' while staring too long.
* VerbalTic: More of a manner of speech than a catchphrase, but as a {{Heel}} she has a particularly paused speaking cadence, seemingly to accentuate her SouthernBelle persona. The fact that [[VerbalTicked she dropped it completely]] after her HeelFaceTurn and subsequent feud with Wrestling/{{Bayley}} and Wrestling/SashaBanks and spoke normally seemed to show [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness how serious she had become.]]
* VillainousCrush: During her and Wrestling/BaronCorbin's feud with Wrestling/SethRollins and Wrestling/BeckyLynch, Evans seemed to take an interest in Rollins, going as far as putting "SETH" on her wrestling gear at the two teams' mixed tag team match at ''Extreme Rules 2019'' (in the ''rear end of her trunks'', no less), and at one point during said match when she had the opportunity to interact with him, rather than attack him, she took the opportunity to caress his bare chest. It should be noted that it was entirely one-sided (Rollins showed no interest in her, and the aforementioned stunts left him clearly embarrassed), and granted, Evans seemed to do it most likely just to mess with Lynch, but still.
