''The Intruder II'' is an original T.I.E. and the sequel to ''WesternAnimation/TheIntruder'', first annouced on February 2014 on Toonami's Tumblr page. It premiered on Creator/{{Toonami}} on November 7 of 2015 and aired for 7 weeks during 12:15 AM, ending on December 19.

The Absolution is going about its duties with T.O.M and Sara having some silly banter when they come across an unknown ship sending a signal. They try to hail it but get no response, and when they try to get in closer, the ship suddenly opens fire on them. After a brief shoot out, the ship sends out an E.M.P blast; T.O.M and Sara are spared due to special metal casings, but the Absolution's engines, gravity and weapons are disabled leaving them stranded and vulnerable. Just as the two are starting to get things back online, the ship suddenly launches a pod with a drill on it that crashes into their ship. T.O.M heads off to confront the trespasser, soon finding himself getting into a confrontation with a very familiar foe.

!!''The Intruder II'' provides examples of:
* AllCGICartoon: Like with the past T.I.E.s, the event is animated using exactly the same CG style as the bumps.
* AnArmAndALeg: TOM's left arm is rendered useless after a portion of the Intruder's goop lands on it. He then rips it off in the next episode since it has the locator in it the Intruder is using to track him. [[spoiler: He gets a new one in episode 7 when SARA and he take over the new base.]]
* TheAssimilator: The Intruder lets TOM know that he intends to merge with him in the same way he merged with his first body.
* AudienceParticipation: The purpose of the Toonami Mobile App. As well as Twitter. [=#Intruder2=]
** Before the first teaser aired, the production crew encouraged people on Twitter to tweet the hashtag [=#Intruder2=], in order to gauge whether there was enough support. As it turns out, fans were able to get the hashtag trending.
* BodyHorror: [[spoiler: What the Intruder did to Tom 1.0's body is Frankenstein level horror; bits and pieces stuck together with goop]].
* BigWhat: The Intruder does this when [[spoiler: he realizes TOM set the ship he lured him there with to self destruct.]]
* BittersweetEnding: TOM gets rid of the Intruder again [[spoiler:and manages to save SARA, but TOM 4, Flash, and D are all confirmed to be dead, the Absolution is destroyed, and TOM and SARA are stuck planetside for a while.]]
* TheBusCameBack: The Intruder returns to terrorize TOM after 15 years of absence.
* BusCrash: The Intruder's return marked the death of [[spoiler:TOM 4.0, as he gloats about killing him.]]
* BlobMonster: The Intruder, naturally, is just a bunch of slime but now he also has a humanoid form [[spoiler: with pieces of TOM 1.0 grafted onto him]].
* BrickJoke: About ten years ago, [Adult Swim] aired a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK8KkfNA6gc card]] about making their cards on Mac OS only to switch out to "Open Source" out of frustration when it started crashing. Cue Week 6 and with [[spoiler: No Absolution to get any files from]] we cut to [[spoiler: Unix error logs]].
* BreakThemByTalking: [[spoiler: After taking SARA offline and trapping TOM 5 in one of the ship's elevator pods, the Intruder happily gloats about how he also took out another TOM and his crew, and that he knows exactly where TOM 5 is. It doesn't work.]]
* CallBack:
** The teaser shows TOM 5 drifting through space, as his past self did in the first series after getting knocked out of the ship by The Intruder.
** The music playing when [[spoiler:Tom is crashing on the desert planet is slightly similar to the music when the first Absolution was finally repaired.]]
* CameBackStrong: [[spoiler:The Intruder is now intelligent to the point of having a personality, possibly due to assimilating TOM 1.]]
* CurseCutShort: In Episode 5, after The Intruder gloats about being able to track TOM, TOM rips his damaged arm off in order to go undetected. That doesn't work.
-->'''TOM''': "There's your locator, ass-" (Door slams shut).
** You can still hear the "hole" part if you listen hard enough; it's clearer in the recap for ep 6.
* DarkerAndEdgier: When compared to previous [=TIEs=], ''The Intruder'' II is much darker, with [[spoiler:SARA assimilated by The Intruder, TOM 4 killed off screen, TOM 5 losing an arm and the ''Absolution'' exploding.]]
* DeathIsCheap: [[spoiler: TOM 5 managed to back up most of SARA and uploads her onto the base he finds.]]
* {{Determinator}}: [[spoiler: Even after everything that's happened, TOM and SARA remain committed to the broadcasting the finest action animation available.]]
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler: SARA is seemingly killed when The Intruder gets into her A.I core and destroys it. But episode 7 reveals that T.O.M managed to back up most of her A.I. matrix and she's still alive if not a bit fragmented for the moment.]]
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler: The ''Absolution'' is gone, but TOM has found a base on the nearby planet to use, SARA was backed up and uploaded onto said base, and TOM got a new arm.]]
* FoxChickenGrainPuzzle: SARA posits this to TOM at the beginning of the first episode. There's no time to figure out because the Intruder attacks.
* {{Handguns}}: TOM 1's laser pistol from the first series is briefly seen in the teaser. The promo shows TOM 5 wielding one as well.
* HappyEndingOverride: [[spoiler:The tie-in comic released at the start of the event had TOM 4 fend off the Intruder. Week 5 revealed that the Intruder killed TOM 4 in a successive attack.]]
* HeroKiller: This time around, the Intruder adds [[spoiler: SARA and TOM 4 to his body count. The former doesn't stick, though.]]
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler:The very ship the Intruder used to lure the ''Absoultion'' is used to kill the Intruder.]]
* InterfaceScrew: Reflecting on the status of the story, the Bumps increase in severity.
** Week 1 screen the words "RED ALERT!". Week 2 has minor video interference. Week 3 is more or less the same as Week 2, outside of a heavy red tint and saturation to the point one can barely see what's going on.
** Week 4's bumpers are all screening the same garbled mess with a high pitched screaming with even the Alert Klaxon starting to fail. Week 5 has the Klaxon being even more wonky, but otherwise remains the same. Additionally, week 4's lineup was a ''Manga/{{Parasyte}}'' marathon.
** Week 6 has the bumpers change to an error screen after [[spoiler:the Absolution blows up]].
** Week 7 [[spoiler: sees the debut of the new bumpers - and the new LOOK - once SARA comes back online.]]
* KilledOffscreen: [[spoiler:The Intruder gloats about killing TOM 4.]]
* MinimalistCast: TOM 5, SARA, and the Intruder are the only castmembers in this miniseries.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Not outright stated, but it's implied that [[spoiler:the Intruder only went after TOM 4 ''and'' is now going after TOM 5 [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BEiIsbeu7I because of TOM 3.5]]]].
-->'''Intruder''': [[spoiler:I tracked your other self down on that distant moon where you were hiding... and killed him. But that wasn't enough... I found [[ContinuityNod a record of a broadcast]] that led me to you directly...]]
* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: Unlike the last time, which just lead to the Absolution getting a new engine. [[spoiler: The end of this one finds TOM and SARA stranded on a desert planet in an abandoned base. Thankfully it's still operational enough once SARA is put back online so they can still continue broadcasting. But it'll be awhile before help comes and even then when they'll be able to get a new ship.]]
* NukeEm: [[spoiler: TOM overloads the ship that the Intruder used as bait to kill the Intruder, taking the ''Absolution'' with it.]]
* RevisitingTheRoots: [[spoiler:The end of the T.I.E finds TOM having to broadcast from a base on a desert planet, with a lot of the shots in the bumpers mirroring the first couple years of ''Toonami'' when Moltar was in charge.]]
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: The Intruder's motivation is to make TOM suffer for his first defeat. Even going as far as to track him down since TOM 2 ejected it from the engine in the previous encounter.
* SelfDeprecation: Upon discovering that [[spoiler:the Intruder has assimilated TOM 1]], TOM 5 makes this little quip...
-->'''TOM 5:''' [[spoiler:''Oh man, I make a'' really ''crappy bad guy.'']]
* ShipOfTheseus: The continuity of identity with the robotic characters that are consistently killed off and rebooted.
** The Intruder itself could be seen as TOM, since it's TOM 1 mixed with the red blob. It's a 'new thing' made from the 'original material.'
** TOM 5 has continuity of mentality with TOM's 1 - 3.5 (excluding TOM 1's death, which Sara informed him of) but not TOM 4 apparently who has shares continuity with TOM's 1 - 3. Both are variations of the 'original thing' made of 'new material.'
** Sara is reconstituted with back up data left in various files from the Absolution's mainframe. Even stating herself, she doesn't know how much of the old version of her is left, or what new pieces will develop into. Essentially an incomplete clone of the original who was killed.
* StealthPun:
** Week 2 and 3's bumpers used a lot of the things characters say in the bumpers to effect in the story. One of particular note is Week 2's One Piece bumper with [[spoiler: Usopp saying he'd take the Going Merry if he wins his fight with Luffy]]. Now who [[Creator/SonnyStrait voices]] both [[spoiler: TOM 1 AND Usopp]]?[[labelnote:To wit]][[spoiler:Sonny Strait is going about getting back the job he lost to Creator/SteveBlum some 15 years ago in the WORST possible way]][[/labelnote]]
** Whilst it looks like the Later Card is a victim of Week 6's events, it's still there, you just have to [[spoiler: Look at the letters in the square brackets]]
* TrashTheSet: [[spoiler: T.O.M blows up ''The Absolution'' in a last ditch effort to take out The Intruder.]]
* VoiceOfTheLegion: The Intruder, [[spoiler: speaking in the voices of the [=TOMs=] he's already assimilated.]]

->[[Creator/{{Toonami}} ONLY Toonami.]]
