Featuring a cast of dummies. this CGI animation short was created as part of the Crash Dummies toy series, itself based on a [[Advertising/TheCrashDummies popular campaign]] of {{Public Service Announcement}}s. The second wave of toys was given a Good vs. Evil storyline to try to spice it up, and an animated pilot was created for this premise.

Set in a world of living crash dummies, an accident with an evil dummy head and a prototype torso means the heroes Slick and Spin have to face Junkman and his army of Junkbots.

The video was only usually supplied with the toys (and was shown on Creator/FoxKids in 1993) but can be viewed on Website/YouTube.

!!This show provides examples of:
* AllCGICartoon Notable for being one of the first of its kind.
* AwesomeButImpractical: Junkman augments his parts with various pieces of metal, which makes him look tough, but makes him vulnerable to a magnetic crane at the end of the film.
* BadBoss: Junkman regularly and without hesitation slaps around anyone he works with. Even his cat. Given how dense they are, you can't blame him for being short-tempered.
* BatmanGambit: Doctor Zub transfers the Torso 9000 blueprints into his own head, and then replaces the data on the disc with a beacon program. He proceeds to place the disc in an obvious place so the Junkbots would steal it.
* BigDamnHeroes: All of Slick and Spin's buddies suddenly crashing into Junkman's hideout and destroying his henchmen before they can blow the duo away.
* ButtMonkey: In a film full of them, Spare-Tire is possibly the champion of this trope. He's short, chubby and has facial features that bug out when he's surprised or damaged.
* CatsAreMean: Junkman's Hubcat.
* ChekhovsGun: During the dummy meeting, Zub is wearing a set of headphones. It's after Junkman sees Piston Head's recorded footage from the meeting again does he realize that Zub was using it to transfer the Torso 9000 plans into his mind.
* CaptainCrash: Because they're living test dummies, all of the cast DrivesLikeCrazy and crash all of their vehicles, even when they're not testing them.
* DescriptionCut: During the rocketsled test:
-->'''Slick:''' Ted's really cooking now!
-->''Cut to Ted toasting a marshmallow on the rocket engine''
-->'''Spin:''' He makes it look like an art!
-->''Cut to Ted painting a safety symbol on canvas''
-->'''Doctor Zub:''' I trust he's paying attention.
-->'' Cut to Ted reading 'a farewell to arms' ''
* DVDBonusContent: The taped version released with the figures has a couple minutes of content cut from the TV version; if you're watching the version that starts with Spare Tire being exploded out of a limo, you're watching the full one. Besides that scene, the other cut material comes down to a few quick jokes being left out.
* EpicFail: When Slick and Spin march to Junkman's hideout, three of the Junkbots try to shoot them. Not only do the Junkbots miss, but get hit by the ricocheting shots!
* EvilLaugh: Junkman's got this down pat, verging on LargeHam territory.
* ForciblyFormedPhysique: Slick and Spin get compressed into cubes after getting caught in a trash compactor.
* TheGadfly: Slick is the wiseguy of the main duo.
* GlowingMechanicalEyes: Junkman, along with [[TalkingLightbulb light up mouth]].
* GoneHorriblyWrong: The dummies' R&D department attempted to create a new and improved version of the dummy head. Unfortunately, they ended up creating a head that was completely evil, and would go on to become Junkman.
* GoodIsDumb: Slick and Spin (Spin moreso), but also most of the dummies.
* HurricaneOfPuns: So so many.
* ImpactSilhouette: How the heroes find out that the Torso 9000 did indeed just get up and walk away.
* ImpairmentShot: We briefly see from Horst the janitor's point of view that even with glasses, he sees the world rather blurry, thus explaining why he mistook Junkman's head for Ted.
* IncrediblyLamePun: The short is made of these.
* LosingYourHead: Poor Ted spends most of the short as just a head, [[CripplingOverspecialization due to it being modified to fit only on the stolen Torso 9000]]. Oddly, Junkman seems dependent on his torso unit for power.
* MacGuffin: The Torso 9000 as well as the plans to make more, although what it actually ''does'' to make it so desirable isn't really clear. They say it's "indestructible," but when the rest of your body isn't and it's in something based largely on body parts flying off to begin with...
* MadeOfIndestructium: the president's limo. It still fails when the bomb test sends Spare Tire through the sun roof.
* MadScientist: Well, mad roboticist.
* MindProbe: Junkman attempts to use one to get the Torso 9000 plans from Zub's head...along with all his other memories.
* MinionWithAnFInEvil: When your evil boss tells you to fire, you should assume he doesn't mean at himself.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Horst the near-sighted cleaner accidentally knocks Ted's head into a bin and mistakes the "dread-head" for Ted. Once Horst fixes it onto the Torso 9000, it becomes Junkman.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Junkman is frustrated by his minion's inability to do even the simplest of tasks, but Junkman himself crashes his aircraft and runs into several rock walls, not realising he was marching into the path of his own manget crane.
* OhCrap: Spare Tire has this reaction when Bull says that the President's new limo needs to go through a bomb test, completely with a WildTake of his eyes bugging out.
-->'''Spare Tire:''' Yep, she's in-''(Realizes what Bull just said)'' [[DelayedReaction BOMB?!]]
* PullingThemselvesTogether: The dummies.
* RightHandCat: Junkman's Hubcat.
* RoboCam: Junkman's view of the world, including a things to do list with 'go out for lunch' and 'take over world' on it.
* SunroofShenanigans: The bomb-test for the president's limo sends Spare Tire flying through the open sunroof.
* SuperStrength: As shown by Junkman hoisting an entire rocket car over his head, the Torso 9000 gives its user incredible strength.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Junkman, especially since the Junkbots were [[JustifiedTrope built from scrapped parts]].
* SwissCheeseSecurity: Despite numerous security doors, a short-sighted janitor can wander into Zub's lab. There are also open windows.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: It's a pretty cheesy and light-hearted film, which makes Junkman's presence quite jarring.
* WeCanRebuildHim: Or rather, He Can Reassemble Himself. Due to only having [[AnArmAndALeg a single arm and leg]] on the torso unit, Junkman compensated by making up the rest of his body from stolen junk parts.
* WeWillMeetAgain: After being foiled and escaping, Junkman vows to come back once he's regrouped. Averted when a magnetic crane lifts him and dumps him in what's implied to be a trash compactor.
* WorldsStrongestMan: Zub declared that the Torso 9000 would make a dummy "the most powerful dummy in the world."[[note]]Likely due to there being a single one at the time.[[/note]] Unfortunately, the dummy that ends up getting it is Junkman.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Although each character was recognizable for the most part. Sideswipe looks almost nothing like the action figure he was based upon, having a similar design to Piston-Head but less goofy-looking.
