''The Amazing Feats of Young Hercules'' is a 1997 DirectToVideo AnimatedMusical by Creator/UAVEntertainment. It tells the story of Hercules, a demi-god teenager, who longs to be free and be just like his father Zeus. Zeus gives him the chance to by giving him four challenges, which he accepts. Along the way, Hercules meets Falina, a {{talking|Animal}} sable, who becomes his sidekick. She was once a gorgeous human princess, but was transformed by the vindictive Hera.

As par the course for UAV, the film is a [[TheMockbuster mockbuster]] of the Creator/{{Disney}} film ''WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}}''.

* AnachronismStew: We first meet Falina when she's selling umbrellas...which didn't exist in Ancient Greece.
* AnimatedMusical: Like all UAV films.
* DeadpanSnarker: Falina
* {{Expy}}: Falina is this film's equivalent of Megara from [[WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}} the Disney version]]. Both are sassy female characters who end up as [[spoiler:the love interest]] of Hercules.
* ForcedTransformation: Falina used to be a human princess, but Hera turned her into a sable when she [[DisproportionateRetribution mentioned that Aphrodite was prettier than Hera]].
* GratuitousPrincess: According to Falina, she is a princess, although her status as royalty is entirely inconsequential to the plot. She could have been just any mortal woman and the story would still have been the same.
* {{Greed}}: Falina only tags along with Hercules because he tells her he might find treasure on his travels. [[spoiler: This gets her in trouble when she tries to take the golden apples]].
* IAmNotWeasel: Hercules mistakes Falina for a weasel when he meets her.
-->'''Falina:''' That's ''sable'', muscle boy! I'm a ''sable'', not a ''weasel''! Got it?
* IAmSong: Hercules has a particularly boastful one.
* PrincessInRags: It can be assumed that the princess Falina's transformation into a sable resulted in a sort of fall from grace as she has been reduced to peddling umbrellas. Her money-grubbing ways would also indicate that she lost the fortune she would have had as a royal.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: When Hercules is searching for golden apples, Zeus warns Hera: "Do. Not. Interfere!"
* SadlyMythtaken: Hercules never rode Pegasus in the actual myths (granted, that's not [[WesternAnimation/TheMightyHercules the first time]] [[WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}} this has happened]] in an adaptation of Hercules), or fought Medusa.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: [[spoiler:Zeus gives Hercules one during his final task, to see if he would sacrifice his life for Falina's]].
* ShockAndAwe: Hercules has the power to throw lightning from his fingertips.
* ShoutOut: During the attack of the metal-feathered buzzards, there is a brief cameo of Creator/AlfredHitchcock saying "Film/TheBirds".
* SnarkyNonHumanSideKick: Falina, although she wasn't always a sable, [[spoiler:and is returned to her human form at the end of the movie]].
* TakeMeInstead: [[spoiler:Hercules when Falina is attacked by the snake.]]
* TurningBackHuman: [[spoiler:Falina is turned back into a human girl by Zeus, and it's implied that she and Hercules fall in love with each other when that happens]].
* VocalDissonance: Though she is a sable for the vast majority of the film, at the end we see Falina is a princess who is likely in her late teens or twenties... but her voice is very scratchy and sounds more like that of a middle-aged woman who smokes heavily.
