%%* AdultsAreUseless: Except for Nile, to a degree.
* AsYouKnow: Every episode Uncle Ankh reminds Droop (and the audience) that a time portal will only open when a mortal from the future utters the name of the immortal pharaoh Whydontyousitdown.
%% * BabysitterFromHell: The nanny the parents originally hired.
* BadBoss: The manager of Prestobouf in "Fast Food Mummy!". At one point he immediately fires a worker because she violated the restaurant's policy on constant smiling when she accidentally burned her hands on the burger grill.
%% * BaldOfEvil: Mr. Big
%% * BigBad: Mr. Big
%% * BrokenRecord: Droop constantly whines about wanting his shadow back.

%% * ChristmasEpisode: "Mummy Marooned"
%% * {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Dorothy and Julius Elsewhere
* CriminalDoppelganger: In "Love at Sea", Stumpy gets mistaken for escaped prisoner Luigi Midnightini. Subverted, as they're both criminals.
%% * DeadpanSnarker: Alex. Samantha can be this on occasion.
%% * DitzyGenius: Dorothy Elsewhere
%% * DrivesLikeCrazy: Nile, during the couple times when she's shown attempting to figure out ''how'' a car works.

%% * HypnoFool: In "The 5000 Year Vacation!" Mrs. Elsewhere hypnotises herself.
%% * IneptMage: Nile
* LawfulStupid: Charlie and Charlie will go out of their way to arrest or ticket anyone who they think is commiting a crime, even if it comes at their detriment. In the first episode, they order Mr. Big to follow a vehicle they're chasing, but then stop him when he goes over the speed limit and give him a speeding ticket.
%% * LeftHanging: The show was cancelled before Nile could return home.
* LivingShadow: Droopenkhamun's shadow after it's separated from him.

%% * MundaneObjectAmazement: Nile does a lot of this.
%% * TheNapoleon: Mr. Big
%% * OhMyGods: Nile often cries out names of Egyptian gods.
* OnceAnEpisode: Nearly every episode someone says the TriggerPhrase and Ankh and Droop go to the future to search for Nile, only to be dragged back into the past when it's said again.
* OneSteveLimit: Averted with the two cops, Charlie and Charlie. One is white and one is black.
* PaperThinDisguise: No-one except Alex and Samantha can tell Nile is a mummy despite the rotting skin, bandages and lack of a nose.
%% * ThePollyanna: Droopenkhamun was this until Nile accidentally stole his shadow.
%% * SanDimasTime
* SmartBall: In "Love at Sea", normally inept cops Charlie and Charlie are at their most competent as they attempt to arrest Luigi Midnightini, even though they're unknowingly going after the wrong man.
* StockSoundEffect: The Elsewheres' doorbell chime is the same as WesternAnimation/TheJetsons'.
%% * TitleThemeTune: The lyrics are just the title repeated over and over.
* TrappedInThePast: Several people have ended up going through the portal instead of Nile and are still trapped in Ancient Egypt by the end of the episode.
* TreasureMap: According to Mr. Big, Nile's wraps contain directions to a treasure; that's why he wanted the mummy in the first place.
%% * TriggerPhrase: A time portal appears every time someone says "Why don't you sit down."
