Hero High was a cartoon show made by {{Creator/Filmation}} as part of the "Kid Super Power Hour with ComicBook/{{Shazam}}"[[note]]which also featured new animated adventures with Captain Marvel[[/note]]. It followed a group of teenaged would-be superheros as they had wacky high school adventures and occasionally fought crime. There were also live action segments where the live actors would sing and tell jokes before a live audience of kids.

!!Tropes featured include:
* TheAce: Captain California is a subversion, as he's not quite competent enough.
* BettyAndVeronica: Almost literally with Glorious Gal and Dirty Trixie. (See the Trivia page for details)
* {{Crossover}}: Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, and Isis appear in various ''Hero High'' episodes ("A Fistful of Knuckles", "Girl of his Dreams", and "Cover Twirl", respectively), and the cast of Hero High appeared in the final ''Shazam!'' episode, "Star Master and the Solar Mirror".
* DreadfulMusician: Punk Rock.
* GoodWearsWhite: Misty Magic.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Captain California and Glorious Gal.
* OfficialCouple: Captain California and Glorious Gal, much to the dismay of Dirty Trixie and Rex Ruthless, respectively.
* RetiredBadass: The teachers are implied to be this, particularly the principal, Mr. Samson.
* TheRival: Collectively, Rex Ruthless and Dirty Trixie are this for Captain California and Glorious Gal. They're not evil, exactly, but, as their names suggest, they don't play fair, and they are often the antagonists when the kids aren't fighting actual supervillains.
* SmugSnake: Rex Ruthless.
* SuperheroSchool: Naturally!
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Misty Magic and Glorious Gal. Didn't prevent Misty from being a DamselInDistress more frequently than Glorious Gal, though.
* WeatherManipulation: Weatherman, of course.
