"Easter Yeggs" is a 1947 ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' short (7 minutes), directed by Creator/RobertMcKimson.

WesternAnimation/BugsBunny is out and about in the forest living his Bugs Bunny life when he runs into the EasterBunny (or as he's called here, "Easter Rabbit"). The Easter Bunny sobs that he has sore feet and can't deliver his easter eggs, so Bugs volunteers. After Bugs leaves, the Easter Bunny reveals to the audience that he always gets "some dumb bunny" to do his work for him.

Bugs goes to deliver eggs to a house. Unfortunately for Bugs said house is occupied by a terrifying child who screams "I wanna Easter Egg!" and proceeds to beat the hell out of Bugs. The terrifying child's terrifying family shows up and Bugs flees a hail of gunfire. He's now much less willing to deliver eggs but the Easter Bunny coaxes him into giving it a second shot. Bugs then arrives at a much more welcoming house -- which turns out to be a trap laid by WesternAnimation/ElmerFudd. Thankfully, Bugs decides to use his wiles and take out two problems with one stone--or, egg, in this case.

!!''I WANNA TROPE EXAMPLE! I WANNA TROPE EXAMPLE! I WANNA TROPE EXAMPLE!''

* ActorAllusion: The Easter Bunny has the same voice and mannerisms and is basically the same character as the ironically named "Happy Postman" character that Mel Blanc played on the radio. There's even a reference to the Happy Postman's catchphrase "Keep smiling!". (Bugs throws it back at the Easter Bunny at the end.)
* AmbiguouslyRelated: The closest thing the Dead End Kid has to parents is a trio of armed goons, all of them male ([[CreepyCrossdresser although one appears to be wearing a housewife's apron]]). While they share the Kid's red hair, exactly ''who'' these men are and how they're related to the Kid or each other (if at all) is never explained because they're on-screen for barely two seconds.
* AnnoyinglyRepetitiveChild: The EnfantTerrible gives Bugs quite a hard time this way; he says, "I want an Easter egg!" [[MotorMouth at a rapid pace]] and yells, "[[ElmuhFuddSyndwome He bwoke my widdle awm!]]" several times.
* BigBallOfViolence: Occurs when Bugs and the child are fighting.
* BlackComedy:
** When Bugs enters the home of the BrattyHalfPint, the child is in a crate sucking on the barrel of a revolver like a baby bottle.
** Elmer waiting for the Easter Bunny so he can shoot it and make "Easter wabbit stew".
* BrattyHalfPint: The horrifying child to whom Bugs tries to deliver eggs. He screams "I wanna Easter Egg!" at ear-splitting volume and then proceeds to thrash Bugs in the way that Bugs usually thrashes the bad guys. When Bugs finally gets the upper hand the bratty half-pint summons his gun-toting relations. Bugs later uses the kid against Elmer Fudd by painting up Fudd's cue ball head like a giant Easter egg and luring him to within sight of the little hellion.
* BulletHoleSpelling: WesternAnimation/BugsBunny is fleeing the home of a BrattyHalfPint whose family is a bunch of shotgun-toting thugs. As they fire at him, they leave "And Stay Out!" spelled on the door.
* DoorRoulette: Bugs keeps opening doors to different houses and keeps finding Elmer on the other side, as well as the bratty kid from earlier.
* DrowningPit: After Bugs drops into his pit trap, Elmer fills it with water, intent on drowning him. Unfortunately for him, Bugs happened to have an inflatable raft handy.
* EasterBunny: Turns out to be both lazy and TheEeyore.
* TheEeyore: The Easter Bunny is continually mopey and depressed. Some of it is exaggerated to trick Bugs into doing his work for him, but he still seems to be sad by default.
* EvilRedhead: The Dead End Kid is a redhead, and darned if he isn't evil. The three burly men who serve as his guardians also have red hair; presumably, the Kid's related to at least one of them.
* HaveAGayOldTime: The Easter Bunny says "I'm supposed to be happy and gay." He most definitely isn't.
* ImpactSilhouette: The Bugs-shaped outline that Bugs leaves in the door after fleeing a hail of bullets from the bratty half-pint's family.
* IronicEcho: "Remember, doc: keep smiling!"
* {{Jerkass}}: The Easter Bunny, who puts on a teary-eyed act as a means to con people into doing his job for him. Bugs eventually catches onto the ruse and turns the tables.
* LaserGuidedKarma: The Easter Bunny finds a large egg that Bugs apparently forgot to deliver and picks it up. It's actually a bomb, and Bugs lights the fuse as payback for getting him into all this.
* LikeABrokenRecord: "I wanna Easter egg! I wanna Easter egg! I wanna Easter egg!..."
* MythologyGag: Bugs' song as he plays the Easter Rabbit ("Here's de Easter Rabbit, hurray / Makin' like funny, hurray!") is the same song that an earlier version of Bugs sang in ''Hare-Um Scare-Um''.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: The Dead End Kid resembles [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Gorcey Leo Gorcey]] one of a number of young tough guy actors know as the Dead End Kids. His voice and manners are straight-up Creator/RedSkelton's "Mean Widdle Kid", though.
* OhCrap: Bugs when he opens a door and sees the Dead End Kid has returned.
* ParentheticalSwearing: Bugs gets in a sneaky-good dig in this exchange:
-->'''Easter Rabbit:''' "But you can't quit! You're gonna give the Easter Rabbit a bad name!"
-->'''Bugs:''' "I already ''have'' a bad name for the Easter Rabbit!"
* PitTrap: Elmer lays one for Bugs in his home. Bugs, of course, escapes.
* PolkaDotPaint: Bugs paints Elmer's head blue with yellow polka dots in two strokes. Then he summons the bratty half-pint, who mistakes Elmer's dome for an egg and starts pounding Elmer's skull with a hammer.
* RabbitMagician: Bugs claims to have worked in a magician's act, and proceeds to try and entertain Elmer with some tricks. First he does the old PullARabbitOutOfMyHat, but the rabbit is the Easter Bunny asking Bugs to keep delivering the eggs. Next, Bugs takes Elmer's watch and smashes it under a handkerchief so he can then make it appear intact. He fails. He's about to try the SawAWomanInHalf routine when Elmer has enough and pulls out his shotgun.
* ShoutOut: Elmer says he is wearing a hat similar to ComicStrip/DickTracy's.
* SubbingForSanta: Bugs is pressed into service by an Easter Bunny who turns out to be a con artist.
* TaeKwonDoor: Elmer is chasing Bugs when Bugs zooms out the front door and then shuts it. Elmer's head goes right through the door.
* WoundedGazelleGambit:
** Bugs grabs the Dead End Kid by the arm to scold him, but the kid cries that "the bad wabbit bwoke my widdle arm!" and his family appears, all towering thugs with shotguns. Bugs then excuses himself and flees from a hail of bullets.
** The Easter Bunny is a perpetual sadsack, but he really turns on the waterworks to con Bugs into doing the job for him.
