''Breezly and Sneezly'' are a pair of Creator/HannaBarbera FunnyAnimal cartoon characters. Breezly is a polar bear clad in a red scarf and winter-style earflap hat as well as blue winter boots. His seal sidekick Sneezly wears a white sailor's hat and collar and black scarf tie. Their home is an igloo located somewhere in the Arctic, not far from Camp Frostbite, a US army base presided over by Colonel Fuzzby. Like WesternAnimation/YogiBear, Breezly is a troublemaking moocher who continually attempts to break into the army base to steal food or supplies, or for some other mischievous reason -- severely trying the Colonel's patience in the process, but usually ingratiating himself to the enlisted men (though Breezly and the Colonel sometimes find a mutual reason to cooperate). The bear's pal Sneezly has a chronic cold that manifests itself in [[SneezeOfDoom frequent, explosive, and often destructive sneezes]].

Creator/HowardMorris provided the voice for Breezly, while the voice actor for Sneezly was Creator/MelBlanc. Creator/JohnStephenson played Colonel Fuzzby. They appeared as the second ThreeShorts entry in first ''The WesternAnimation/PeterPotamus Show'' and subsequently in ''The WesternAnimation/MagillaGorilla Show''.

Neither character was seen much after their show ended, though Breezly did make a cameo appearance in an episode of ''WesternAnimation/HarveyBirdmanAttorneyAtLaw''.

* AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal:
** Breezly wears a a red scarf and winter-style earflap hat as well as blue winter boots, but nothing else.
** Sneezly sports a white sailor's hat and collar and black scarf tie, but nothing else.
* AllPartOfTheShow: In "Snow Biz," Breezly and Sneezly sneak into camp to watch a USO show. When Colonel Fuzzby catches Breezly inside and chases him around the stage, the audience thinks they're doing a comedy act. Both characters end up being part of a subsequent USO tour.
* AntiSneezeFinger: Sneezly often places his index finger under his nose to try and head off a sneeze. This invariably fails.
* BearyFunny: Breezly is a happy-go-lucky bruin whose bad behavior is invariably PlayedForLaughs.
* BigGuyLittleGuy: Sneezly is only half as tall as his ursine pal.
* ChestOfMedals: In the episode “Stars and Gripes,” Breezly manages to sneak into a fancy dinner held at the Army camp by masquerading as a 10-star general (five stars being the highest possible rank). He successfully pulled this off for a while [[HalfDressedCartoonAnimal wearing only the upper half of the uniform]].
* DidNotGetTheGirl: Breezly meets a cute female polar bear in "Armoured Amour." When she asks Breezly to break into Camp Frostbite to steal her a box of chocolates, the lovesick bruin decides to oblige her. His attempts fail until he tells Colonel Fuzzby why he wants the candy, which the base leader is more than happy to provide in hopes Breezly will get the girl and thus spend his time with her instead. When Breezly returns, though, the object of his affection has already been diverted by two rival bears.
* EasyAmnesia: A variant occurs in "Nervous in the Service." Colonel Fuzzby gets hit on the head several times during the episode, and each time his personality changes in a JekyllAndHyde manner -- he's alternatively nice and mean to Breezly.
* {{Expy}}:
** With his easygoing, goofy personality and penchant for mooching trickster behavior, Breezly comes off as a Polar version of WesternAnimation/YogiBear.
** Colonel Fuzzby is essentially a more military version of such exasperated authority figures as Ranger Smith (''WesternAnimation/YogiBear''), Mr. Twiddle (''WesternAnimation/WallyGator''), and Chief Winchley (''WesternAnimation/SquiddlyDiddly'').
* FilchingFoodForFun: Breezly and Sneezly seemingly break into nearby Camp Frostbite because they prefer the food there over things like fish that would presumably be available to them.
* FracturedFairyTale: In "Stars and Gripes," Breezly wants to go to Camp Frostbite's military ball but doesn't have an appropriate disguise. In best ''Literature/{{Cinderella}}'' fashion, a fairy godmother materializes and provides the bear with a 10-star general's outfit for the occasion.
* FunnyAnimal: While Breezly and Sneezly are respectively a polar bear and seal, they behave like humans. They are examples of an AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal, walk bipedally, talk intelligibly to humans in English, and live in an igloo with a wood stove, television, rug, and other human furnishings.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Breezly and Sneezly live together in an igloo. They form a consistent buddy pair and appear not to have any romantic connection.
* HugeRiderTinyMount: The friends perform a TotemPoleTrench in one episode. Sneezly was on the bottom despite the fact that Breezly was much larger than him, but either way, this probably wasn't a good idea.
* InterspeciesFriendship: Breezly and Sneezly are a polar bear and seal respectively. Two animals that are usually predator and prey.
* {{Invisibility}}: In "Unseen Trouble," Dr. Von Plumb is visiting the camp and conducting experiments hoping to create an invisible soldier. He manages to turn Breezly invisible instead, and HilarityEnsues as he plays pranks on Colonel Fuzzby.
* JekyllAndHyde: In "Nervous in the Service," Colonel Fuzzby gets hit on the head several times during the episode, and on each occasion his personality changes drastically -- he's alternatively nice and mean to Breezly.
* LovableRogue: Breezly is a mostly harmless mischief-maker, and plenty likeable despite this.
* NameAndName: The segment title consists of the two characters' names with "and" in the middle.
* RingAroundTheCollar: Breezly's scarf and Sneezly's sailor-style collar helped facilitate animation shortcuts, a commonly-seen device in Hanna-Barbera characters of the time.
* SneezeOfDoom: Because he's always sick with a cold, Sneezly often puts forth a destructive sneeze. He has been known to blow his igloo home up in the air, flatten army buildings, or propel his friends into snowbanks by doing so.
* SurpriseParty: "Birthday Bonanza" sees Breezly smuggled into Camp Frostbite by the enlisted men so he can plan a surprise birthday party for Colonel Fuzzby. The Colonel is unaware of this, of course, and he continually tries to chase the bear off the base when he sees him.
* ThreeShorts: Regardless of the show it appeared on, Breezly's segment always was the middle of the three entries.
* YouCanRunButYouCantHide: In "Furry Furlough," Colonel Fuzzby takes off for a vacation on an island in the tropics. While there, he spots Breezly and Sneezly on a nearby approaching iceberg. The Colonel is so flustered that he ''swims'' back to Camp Frostbite!
