"When a zombie apocalypse hits during the practice of a high school basketball team, it's a whole new life for the coach, Jeff. The world's turned upside down and the girls seem to be handling the changes way better than Jeff, who has troubles adjusting. A close-knit group of friends, the girls are eager to tackle this new world with its challenges!"

''[=ShootAround=]'' is a webcomic created by suspu about a girls' high-school basketball team (and their coach) trying to survive in a ZombieApocalypse; it's published by Naver [[http://www.webtoons.com/en/comedy/shoot-around/list?title_no=399 here]] (although the creator is Finnish, not Korean, and the comic is written in English.)

!!This webcomic provides examples of:

* AdultsAreUseless: Played with. Jeff, the coach, is generally less useful than the girls under his care, partially because he's not as GenreSavvy about the situation (and partially because he rapidly loses a hand as a result.) The adults who set up the safe zone aren't useless, but the girls refuse to accept their help. [[spoiler:And in the end, most of the adults there turn out to be pretty useless... but not all of them.]]
* AffablyEvil: Malik isn't evil per se; in fact, he claims he doesn't want to be the villain. He's just the one doctor left in the apocalypse with medical supplies and rations, and uses this high position of power to wield a near omnipresent control over the survivors.
* AlphaBitch: Ana Sofia plays the long con in not showing off her skills, but her genuine one-two of brains and brawn make her formidable. Even ''Hotaru'' fears her.
-->[[WhamLine "This is your first time dealing with me and I'm a bitch."]]
* AmputationStopsSpread: The girls cut off Jeff's hand while he's unconscious because he was bitten by a zombie. [[spoiler: It also worked for Elise, but a combination of a deeper bite and the trauma almost killed her in the process.]]
* AsideGlance: Hotaru's reaction when Chau throws some coins at the mall, shouting "take that, capitalism!", then immediately picks them back up in case she needs them later.
* AnArmAndALeg: Played with and averted. Coach is somewhat mournful about the loss of his dominant hand, but readily admits that Hotaru's quick thinking saved his life.
* BadassAndChildDuo: The Old Man and Lyanna make a temporary pair when she's captured by the soldiers, and again later in winter.
* BilingualBonus: When Lyanna asks the Old Man to say something in Finnish, he says [[spoiler: that she reminds him of his daughter.]]
* {{Bloodlust}}: Played with. Elise is assumed by most to be serial killer material, but given her history, that makes sense. She only really starts getting blood hungry after [[spoiler: her zombification]].
** Played straight. Miriam... sure likes seeing Malik operate on people. So much so she's been [[NoodleIncident banned from the surgeries room]].
* CastFullOfGay: Hotaru, Kayla, Elise, and [[spoiler: Coach]] have all had gay crushes or relationships in the past. Additionally, Chau is a trans woman and both Coach and Kayla are polyamorous. [[spoiler:Lakka and Ana Sofia are both confirmed to be gay in the epilogue.]]
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Lyanna's reaction to realizing she's in a ZombieApocalypse is to be upset that she won't get an ending to Manga/OnePiece.
* CosyCatastrophe: At times, the girls seem to be enjoying the end of civilization way too much.
* EtTuBrute: Referenced by name when Kayla prevents Hotaru from getting a gold point from Coach.
* EveryoneCanSeeIt: Kayla and Hotaru's mutual attraction to each other is a secret from exactly nobody, no matter how much they act like there's nothing going on.
* {{Expy}}: Jeff shares a striking resemblance to [[VideoGame/TheWalkingDead Lee Everett]], including the [[spoiler: amputated arm]].
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Andie has such a way with animals that he's recognized as the animal guy for The Crows. He even gets a horse domesticated again after it was set free during the apocalypse.
* GenreSavvy: The reason the girls have survived as long as they have (and the reason, for the most part, AdultsAreUseless.) Averted with Jeff, who suffers from GenreBlindness to the point of getting bitten by the first zombie they encounter while trying to help him.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Chau realizes her survival skills are lacking, given her small stature and lack of weapon training. To compensate, she asks Ana Sophia if she can be taught how to use a single punch to fight enemies. She gets to test this out on Malik's face.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: Elise chops Hotaru's hair out of a zombie's hand and gets turned as a result]].
** [[spoiler: Just as Lyanna is about to be attacked by a zombie, Jörgen follows in his sister's footsteps and takes the bite for her]].
* ILetYouWin: One of the reasons why Hotaru is in her position of leadership is because Ana Sophia eventually let her win during basketball exercises.
* IronicEchoCut: When they find Chau's zombified dog and she leaves it with them to get some stuff from her room upstairs, the scene cuts from everyone else arguing over whether to kill it to Chau saying "I hope they don't kill my dog while I'm up here."
* TheImmune: [[spoiler: Elise and Jörgen's DNA holds the cure for zombie bites, but they refuse to be experimented upon, and live the remainder of their lives away from society]].
* InTheirOwnImage: [[spoiler: The epilogue states the world eventually rebuilt itself, and Ana Sophia dictates in her dying days that society was recreated as the survivors wished it to be, "chasing stability and happiness"]].
* ItsAllAboutMe: Ana Sofia's philosophy is that "as long as I survive, everything is totally fine." When she explains this to Lyanna:
-->'''Lyanna''': "Whaaat, so you're saying I should just worry about my own survival...?"
-->'''Ana Sofia''': "What? No! I'm saying you should worry about me."
* TheLeader: Hotaru, since she's both the most serious and the most GenreSavvy of the girls. Even Coach defers to her. [[spoiler: Defied in Season 2, as Coach takes over for Hotaru on the basis that she was getting too stressed by leadership.]]
* NotSoAboveItAll: Hotaru gets this occasionally, like when she gives in and plays with the pole at the fire station.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: While the zombies are standard issue for the most part, there is one symptom of zombification that is different than most. If amputation of an infected limb is successful, there's a chance that the infection is still present and can affect the brain, as shown with [[spoiler: Elise's near total amnesia]].
* OutlawCouple: While not a couple, Manuel and Miriam are Malik's bruisers and go near everywhere together. Miriam even explicitly says they are "not good people", given all the people they have had to kill to survive. [[spoiler: Miriam later wants to be his girlfriend, but can't bring herself to explain her feelings, and tries to rebound with both Malik and Coach to no avail]].
* PetTheDog: The Old Man, who guards Lyanna when she's captured by the Safe Zone, does this constantly, from comforting Lyanna when she's crying to reassuring her that he's extremely weak (so her friends will easily beat him and rescue her.)
* RepeatedForEmphasis: In attempting to escape, Hotaru threw a chair at Malik's face, and he doesn't let her forget it.
--> "Yes, she threw a chair at my face. I'm aware of her nature."
--> "If you hadn't thrown a chair at my face..."
--> "But you threw - a chair at my face. Thoughts?"
* RunningGag: Malik getting bodied before he has a chance to explain his motives. Both Chau and Hotaru sucker punch him after waking up in his care and Takao shoulder tackles him after hearing Hotaru might be his prisoner. In every case, Malik had no intention of causing harm, and if anything was trying to help in each situation.
* ShootTheDog: Literally. Chau's dog is zombified and has to be put down. [[spoiler: More seriously, Elise killed her parents so Jorgen wouldn't have to.]]
* TheStoic: Ana Sofia is easily the most level of the main cast and tends to not display her emotions. Played straight and deconstructed by the Old Man, who points out that just because he ''seems'' emotionless, doesn't mean he ''is''.
* TapOnTheHead: After he gets bitten by a zombie, one of the girls knocks Jeff unconscious for ''five days'' by punching him lightly in the back of the head.
* TitleDrop: In a flashback, Coach puts the team through a shootaround practice as a way to cool tensions.
* TokenWhite: The majority of the cast are people of color, and the white characters that are recent immigrants (Lakka, the Old Man). Andie is so far the only white character to have a speaking role at all.
* WhamLine: [[spoiler:"Because... at some point, someone will make a mistake." And as Hotaru says that this is the real reason they don't trust the Safe Zone, we're shown it happening.]]
* WrongGenreSavvy: Zig-zagged. The girls refuse to accept help from the adults setting up the Safe Zone, because that's always a bad idea in a ZombieApocalypse setting. [[spoiler:But as it turns out, Hotaru had a much better reason for avoiding it than it seemed at first... and she was right.]]
