Mighty Moshin' Emo Rangers is an internet series parodying the popular ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' TV series. The series’ takes the show’s [[RecruitTeenagersWithAttitude well known premise]] and adds a simple twist; the team is made up entirely of Emo stereotypes.

* Ross, Introspective Emo Ranger.
* Stef, Bleeding Heart Emo Ranger.
* John, Chronic Stoner/Straight Edge Emo Ranger.
* Vicken, Weeping Tear Emo Ranger.
* Luke, Chaos Mohawk Emo Ranger.
* [[SixthRanger Fai,]] Fashon Core Emo Ranger.

The resulting viral video garnered a sizeable fanbase through Website/MySpace, and a short series of edited down episodes aired on MTV.
After the show’s initial success, the creators began work on a second season, which, while a [[GrowingTheBeard significant improvement over the first,]] was infamously delayed for four years before finally being released in 2010, long after the series’ infamy had peaked.

In 2015, the series returned again with a Ten Year Anniversary special featuring a new Ranger, Mary Jane, the new Chronic Stoner Ranger. In reference to the infamous hiatus, the special jokingly promised that the original team would return in the year 2025. With a Christmas special announced the same year, and still not delivered on, time will tell if the Emo Rangers return.

----
!This show provides examples of:
* AffectionateParody: Of ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' and {{Sentai}} in general.
* AllMenArePerverts: Apparently the case with the male Rangers. Luke uses his communicator to "hook up with emo chicks"; Ross runs up a huge bill calling sex lines and reprograms Avril Lavigne into a sexbot for himself; and John screams on being told that his new Straight Edge lifestyle prohibits premarital sex.
* AnAssKickingChristmas: The Rangers take on a HumongousMecha driving Santa Clause to save Christmas.
* BadSanta: In the Christmas Special, Santa appears as the main antagonist, piloting a giant robot shaped like himself.
* BalloonBelly: A girl becomes morbidly obese thanks to Burger Clown.
* BatDeduction: After seeing how ridiculous the New Rave fans are dressed, Luke realises the only possible explanation is that aliens are involved.
* {{BFG}}: The Rangers combine their weapons to make one. It also has a pedophile setting.
* BigBad: The Evil Empress. The Principal takes over for the 2015 special.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: The Hoodie Patrol is made up of teenagers hypnotized by the Evil Emperoress. That doesn't stop the Rangers beating the shit out of them.
* CaptainObvious: The humor dips into this sometimes.
--> '''Burger Clown''': Oh shit! I better attack the town with an extra value meal!
--> '''Captain Emohead''': Shit! The town's being attacked by an extra value meal!
* CatchPhrase:
** Luke: "Emo Rangers! Woo! Tits!"
** Fai: "That is ''so'' not fashionable."
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome:
** Oddly enough, the main villain gets hit with this. The Evil Emperoress isn't seen after episode 3 of Season 2, with the next three villains being working independently. It is possible the episodes were simply posted out of order, and the villains would have appeared interchangeably.
** Initially the case with Emo-5 between series 1 and 2, but later averted when it's explained that he was PutOnABus (see below)
* CoconutSuperPowers: We do get to see the Rangers use their weapons a few times, but most of the fight scenes happen unmorphed, somewhat implying that the Emo Ranger Armour is more like safety equipment for driving the Emozords.
* CombiningMecha: The Emozords, of course. The Mega Emozord can combine with the Fashion Core Emozord to create an even more powerful one, but only in Season One.
* CrazyPrepared: The Ranger's {{BFG}} has a pedophile setting. Really.
* DullSurprise: The Emo Rangers aren't the most expressive bunch.
* DrugsAreBad: The villain of the 2015 Halloween special is a strict disciplinarian who proclaims this, and even pilots his own HumongousMecha to match.
* VideoGame/DukeNukemForever: Season 2 took four years to come out, and ended up with a reputation like this. The real problem was that they made the initial announcement with a fully realized trailer, which seemed to imply that the season was almost ready to go.
* {{Expy}}: The Rangers themselves are mostly original characters, but virtually everyone around them is a parody:
** Captain Emohead is Zordon.
** Emo 5 is Alpha 5.
** The Evil Empress is Rita Repulsa.
** John and Fai are odd examples, both in some way serving as Tommy Oliver's Green and White Ranger forms.
** The Hoodie Patrol are the Putty Patrol.
** Sold Ya Kid is Music/SouljaBoy.
* FlatCharacter: Even with their PersonalityPowers, none of the original Emo Rangers display much in the way of individual personality traits. [[SmugStraightEdge John]] and [[TheFashionista Fai]] in season 2 have more visible and consistent character traits.
* [[ForgotAboutHisPowers Forgot About Her Powers]]: Whenever the Rangers combine their weapons, Vicken always seems surprised that hers is the Weeping Tears Emo Tissues.
* FusionDance: The Evil Empress fuses her henchmen Sold Ya Kid and Avrilbot into Ross's worst nightmare; a pop-rap remix.
* GiftedlyBad: Vicken, who is passionate about writing depressing poetry. The first thing Captain Emohead says to her when giving her emo powers is that her poetry sucks.
* HeartbrokenBadass: Stef's Ranger powers reportedly stem from her anguish at being dumped in front of the whole school.
* HumongousMecha: This is a ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' parody, right?
* HurricaneOfPuns: "Bearly Legal" and "You Want Cries With That" are not for the faint of heart.
* IncrediblyLamePun: In Bearly Legal and You Want Cries With That, the entire cast begins shouting these every few seconds.
* InformedAbility: Apparently Vicken has a Weeping Tear attack to 'cry the bad guys away.' We never see it.
* InformedAttribute:
** The Rangers are defined by a single characteristic. And sometimes they barely get that. Most of it is because Captain Emohead told us in the pilot episode, or yells about it at some point.
** Luke seems like a pretty chilled out guy for someone who allegedly hates everyone and everything.
** Ross never seems to get very introspective.
** Furthermore, the Rangers don't really seem to have any self esteem issues. Sometimes they can seem outright ''chipper.''
* LargeHam:
-->''HI! I'M CAPTAIN EMOHEAD!''
** The actor playing the Principal is clearly having a great time.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Surprisingly, only played straight once. The first enemy of the Rangers, Colonel Crusher, starts out giant, is then shown small, then turned giant again. All other enemies were either defeated on the ground, or used HumongousMecha. The reason being that most episode villains were produced in live action while the Emo Fight Bot was completely CG.
* MeaningfulName: Mary Jane, the second Chronic Stoner Emo Ranger.
* MonsterClown: Burger Clown, who ground up annoying Emo Kids into ultra fattening hamburgers and has a trio of enormous robots shaped like junk food.
* {{Mooks}}: The Rangers have encountered many hypnotised teenagers, but the Hoodie Patrol are the show's go-to Minions. They have been used by the The Evil Empress, Burger Clown, and The Principal.
* NoEndorHolocaust: Averted. A death toll of only 10,000 is a good day's work in Captain Emohead's book.
* NoIndoorVoice: Again...
-->''HI! I'M CAPTAIN EMOHEAD!''
* NotUsingTheZWord: Post-Season 1 the Emo Zords become the Emo Fight Bots, and their combined form the Mega Emo Fight Bot. Guess it was a little too obvious.
* PaedoHunt: Well, more like implied. After defeating the monster Uncle Cuddles and Fiddles, Captain Emohead congratulates the team on another victory, then considers calling the police considering that the monster was a pedophile.
* PersonalityPowers: The Emo Rangers' powers ostensibly come from their defining emo traits. [[InformedAbility In practice, though, it's pretty rare to see any of them actually display these qualities]].
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: The Principal doesn't want Mary Jane to be sexually abused by the school basketball team - because they need to focus on winning. He also has no problem throwing around homophobic and sexist insults.
* PutOnABus:
** Emo 5 in season 2. Captain Emohead had to sell him on eBay to pay the phone bill that Ross had racked up using sex lines.
** The original six Emo Rangers were seemingly on the backburner for ten years. [[spoiler:They finally show up in the 2015 Halloween special, only to get sucked into a time portal that takes them 10 years forward.]]
* RandomEventsPlot: The series mostly holds plot secondary to humor, which causes some episodes, particularly in the original run, to be rather hard to follow.
* RecruitTeenagersWithAttitude: Just make sure they're all emos, first.
* SavingChristmas: From ol' Saint Nick himself, no less.
* SelfDeprecation:
** In the 2015 episode the main team of Emo Rangers are blasted into the year 2025 by the villain, with Emo-5 enthusiastically looking forward to seeing their new adventures in ten years. It's definitely a self-referencing joke about how long it takes for any new material to be released.
** Each episode of Season 2 opens with a content warning, which includes ''Badly Dubbed Voices.''
* SixthRanger: Fai the Purple Fashion Core Emo Ranger. She even gets her own robot.
* SmugStraightEdge: John shows signs of this when he becomes the Blue Straight Edge Emo Ranger.
* SpacePirates: The New Rave pirates.
* SpoofAesop:
** If you meet a guy on the internet, make sure you bring friends with lots of weapons in case he's a monster pedophile.
** Mary Jane learns that it is better to drop out of school to party and do drugs. Though in her defense, she does emphasize that she's also become a superhero.
* SuperMode: After upgrading into the Blue Straight Edge Emo Ranger, John gains one in the form of Straight Edge Samurai Mode.
* TheBusCameBack: Emo-5 inexplicably returns for the 2015 Anniversary Episode.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Of the initial FiveManBand, Stef and Vicken are the only girls. Season 2 brings in Fai, causing the Emo Rangers to become a GenderEqualEnsemble.
