Umbrella is an online stick figure animation created by RESH ANIMS in collaboration with many other Website/YouTube animators. The story itself revolves around Umbrella, a stick solider who apparently works for the military's Umbrella Division under Commander Red as an hitman. As the story begins however, things begin to change. Is Umbrella really working for the right side? Is Nemesis truly the evil organization they are introduced to be? Is Umbrella even his real name?

Umbrella (the animation) features the [[AuthorAvatar original characters]] from other original stick men animations, including the members of the Nemesis Clan.

!!This Web Animation provides examples of:
* TheAggressiveDrugDealer: Commander Red doesn’t take no for an answer.
* AlmostLethalWeapons: Umbrella could never be killed, while many mooks and even several original [[NominalImportance named characters]] were killed off.
* AmbiguousEnding: We never get to see exactly what happens when Umbrella and Nemesis storm [[spoiler: the Commander’s]] base. Spook (a Member of NEMESIS) mostly explained the ending plot in a [=YouTube=] intro video for the series: [[spoiler: Gyro and Umbrella would track Commander Red down to an abandoned warehouse in the middle of a desert, where the latter reveals more of Umbrella's backstory. When Gyro moves in for the kill, Commander Red would speak a TriggerPhrase to [[ManchurianAgent send Umbrella into a berserker frenzy]]. Gyro manages to finish off Red, but is forced to fight against the berserk Umbrella, [[FightingYourFriend who is revealed to be a former friend of his]]; following an emotional encounter between the two, Gyro lets Umbrella stab him in order to use his powers to snap him out of his berserk mode. Umbrella comes to as the rest of NEMESIS carry him to safety, revealing that the only thing left of Gyro is his sword stuck in the ground - [[HeroicSacrifice having used every bit of his energy to save Umbrella]], Gyro suffered a HeroicRROD and [[DisappearsIntoLight disintegrated into light]].]]
* AmnesiacHero: Subverted. Umbrella starts off as one, but later gets better, [[spoiler: discovering that he was brainwashed and his [[LaserGuidedAmnesia memories artificially removed]] by Commander Red in a bid to turn him into his personal assassin.]]
* AmbiguouslyEvil: The Commander's side and Nemesis both have shades of this. Nemesis kept the radiation cure from the public, resulting in conflict and loss of many lives between the two sides, while the Commander [[spoiler: did several heinous things to Umbrella and [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness attempts to terminate him the moment he finishes his mission]].]]
* AppliedPhlebotinum: Umbrella is only able to use his advanced weapons due to “radiation”. There’s never any definitive explanation as to how those weapons work though. Even after [[spoiler: his radiation poisoning is cured,]] he is still able to use his weapons with no problem.
* AnArmAndALeg: Alfa is missing one of his arms during his battle with Umbrella to show that he’s at a disadvantage, and [[DramaPreservingHandicap to make the fight more interesting.]]
* AssassinsAreAlwaysBetrayed: [[spoiler: Commander Red orders Umbrella’s termination immediately after Umbrella completes his mission against Alfa.]]
* BadBoss: [[spoiler: Commander Red forces Umbrella into his division, kills his parents, and makes him undergo a radiation treatment that grants him great power at the cost of slowly degrading his body. He then makes him go on dangerous hitman missions against Franky, Nemesis, and Alfa, and casually orders his death the moment he outlives his usefulness to the Commander's division.]]
* TheCameo: Hyun, another popular animator, appears in the duel between Franky and Umbrella on the airplane [[FreezeFrameBonus for a split second]].
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: Each non Mook stick figure has a bright hue in order to help the viewer tell them apart.
* ContractOnTheHitman: [[spoiler: After Commander Red finds out Alfa is killed, he orders Umbrella to be terminated as he has no more use for him.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Umbrella’s family was killed, [[spoiler: he was kidnapped, and he was brainwashed to serve the people that committed these heinous crimes.]]
* DualWielding: During the simulation training that Umbrella undergoes, he does this with two umbrellas.
* DeathByFlashback: Umbrella’s parents are viciously gunned down by [[spoiler: the Commander’s men]] in a flashback.
* DuelToTheDeath: Most of Umbrella’s fights end up being this, due to him being an assassin.
* EasilyForgiven: Umbrella seeks out Nemesis in order to ask them for help with his radiation. In return, he’ll help them against [[spoiler: Commander Red.]] Despite the fact that he killed quite a few of their members and their boss, they agree to his terms.
* ElectronicEyes: Umbrella’s eyes, after being corrupted with radiation, serve as this for control over each of his weapons and targeting systems.
* EnergyWeapon: Umbrella’s umbrella, as well as the techno “wings” he uses against Alfa.
* EnemyMine: Nemesis and Umbrella team up against [[spoiler: the Commander]] due to them being a major threat to both sides, [[spoiler: and so that they can avenge their family (for Umbrella) and friends' (for Nemesis) deaths at Red's hands]].
* EyesAlwaysShut: Alfa has shades of this. He almost always has his eyes closed while duelling Umbrella.
* FacelessGoons: Most of the Commander’s men and Nemesis’s men are these. Their faces all look pretty much the same, except the Commander’s men look like they’re wearing skulls.
* FindTheCure: Subverted. Alfa simply tells Umbrella that Nemesis has the cure to his radiation poisoning. Played straight with [[spoiler: the Commander]] as he wants the cure for his own radiation.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Umbrella’s cracks leaking from his eyes greatly resemble someone else’s eyes. [[spoiler: The Commander’s eyes]]
* [[EnergyWeapon Frickin' Laser Beams]]: Umbrella’s umbrella is capable of firing several of these off.
* GlowingEyes: Umbrella has bright purple eyes, to signify his radiation poisoning. [[spoiler: Commander Red has them too.]]
* GoryDiscretionShot: The viewer can only see Alfa's back when Umbrella recalls his wings to stab him to death.
* GreyAndGrayMorality: Initially the story comes off as this, but as it progresses, more people start leaning towards Nemesis’ side due to the revelation of [[spoiler: the atrocities committed by the Commander’s side.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Umbrella switches teams to the seemingly good Nemesis, and fights against his former allies.]]
* HighAltitudeBattle: Franky’s fight with Umbrella has this; both when they are in the airplane trying to win control and when Franky refuses to let go of Umbrella's foot as they are plummeting to the ground.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: After Franky injures Umbrella’s right arm with his pickaxe, he remarks that he’s taken out his good arm, only for Umbrella to shoot back that he’s ambidextrous.
* AnIcePerson: Franky’s abilities to create ice serve him quite well again Umbrella's technology.
* ImpossiblyCoolWeapon: Umbrella’s amazingly awesome parasol of doom.
* InnocentBlueEyes: Umbrella’s eyes’ original color in his flashback. After he receives the radiation, his eyes immediately lose their blue, becoming a purple color.
* ItsPersonal: Umbrella [[spoiler: turned against the Commander when it is revealed that the Commander was the one who killed his parents, captured him, and experimented on him against his will.]]
* HandicappedBadass: Alfa fights against Umbrella with one of his arms gone, a result after [[ContinuityNod his battle with Pulse.]]
* MadeOfIron: Umbrella’s been in a plane crash, stabbed in the gut, shocked with a deadly amount of volts, among other things, yet is inexplicably somehow still in pristine condition by the end of the show.
* MagicFromTechnology: Umbrella’s techno wings and umbrella constantly exhibit signs of defying gravity and telepathic control.
* MaybeMagicMaybeMundane: Umbrella and Nemesis high command are able to go into space without a spacesuit. It’s never explained why they didn’t die immediately.
* MoreThanMindControl: [[spoiler: Commander Red brain-washed Umbrella to kill several innocents, such as Franky. Umbrella believed he was a loyal member of the Umbrella Division since he did not question the things that his commander did to him. He was also forced to forget what the commander actually did: destroying his family and forcing him to become a living weapon.]]
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: During Commander Red’s attempt to assassinate Umbrella, he inadvertently aids Umbrella in recovering his memories, [[spoiler: memories that immediately turn Umbrella against the Commander when he survives the assassination attempt.]]
* NoEnding: Umbrella’s story ends with him and Nemesis plunging down towards [[spoiler: the Commander’s [[RuleOfCool space base]]]] from above.
* NoOneShouldSurviveThat: Umbrella’s been though quite a lot. Being whacked with a pickaxe, shot and stabbed by Nemesis, injected with almost lethal radiation, impaled by his own wings, and [[spoiler: attempted betrayal from the Commander.]] He survives them all.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Umbrella’s name is never revealed; he goes by the name of his weapon.
* OnceMoreWithClarity: Umbrella’s first scene is replayed during his flashback. It is then revealed that [[spoiler: he was brainwashed all along, and he was forced into his role that he holds as an assassin.]]
* ParasolOfPain: Umbrella’s umbrella is a piece of high developed technology used to defeat both Franky and Alfa, fight with and against Nemesis, and against [[spoiler: the Umbrella division.]]
* ParasolParachute: Umbrella uses his signature weapon to float down safely from the plane after it starts to spiral downwards.
* ProfessionalKiller: Umbrella is introduced to be this in the beginning. [[spoiler: Subverted near the end. The Commander simply decided to kill his family, kidnap him, and brainwash him into being a loyal weapon.]]
* RadiationInducedSuperpowers: Umbrella’s artificial enhancements for his mission against Alfa and Nemesis involve radiation. No points of guessing where that comes from.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: One of the first things the viewer sees in Umbrella’s story is the Commander. Guess what color his eyes are?
* RejectedApology: Zigzagged with Alfa’s dying scene. He doesn’t want Umbrella’s apology; he wants Umbrella to avenge his death.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: After Umbrella finds out [[spoiler: what was done to his parents and how he was brainwashed, he turns his back immediately on the Umbrella division.]]
* RuleOfCool: The entire Umbrella vs Franky fight. Nothing says cool like a midair fight with a pickaxe and umbrella that crashes into, and later crashes, a plane.
* SpaceBattle: The final battle is this. [[spoiler: Umbrella, Nemesis’s goons, and Nemesis high command storm the Commander’s base, in SPACE!]]
* SelfDestructiveCharge: Umbrella risks his life to kill Alfa by holding him down long enough for his wings to impale both himself and Alfa in the back.
* SelfHarm: Umbrella overexerts himself in training, and does not seem to recall or care that he is slowly dying. [[spoiler: Subverted near the ending where it is explained that he was brainwashed to do as he does.]]
* ShockAndAwe: This is the chosen way that Commander Red attempts to assassinate Umbrella through his weapons
* SuperpowerMeltdown: Umbrella and [[spoiler: the Commander]] have shades of this. Umbrella’s radiation levels are approaching critical, and so is [[spoiler: the Commander’s as revealed by Alfa after his duel against Umbrella]]. Luckily, Nemesis has the cure.
* TaintedVeins: As seen in the page image, Umbrella sports these throughout the series as a side-effect of wielding his weaponry. They slowly grow as his body comes closer and closer to a HeroicRROD from absorbing the radiation they produce.
* TakingYouWithMe: When Umbrella is attacked from behind and badly wounded in his fight against NEMESIS, he levels his weapon at the ground and fires it at full power, seemingly intending to kill himself to evade capture and take his enemies with him.
* TroubledBackstoryFlashback: Umbrella’s entire family is massacred in his flashback. His mother is [[BoomHeadshot shot in the head]] while kneeling on the grass, while his father is [[MultipleGunshotDeath gunned down]] when he tries to rescue Umbrella from the van.
* TheWorfEffect: Alfa may be a badass, but he doesn’t stand a chance against Umbrella after his upgrades.
* YouKilledMyFather: [[spoiler: Commander Red orders his troops to execute Umbrella’s parents in his flashback; when he remembers this, an enraged Umbrella essentially declares war on his former boss.]]
