On top of all this, the Crypt Keeper is somehow responsible for the events in every one of these episodes and Demon Knight too as well. Picture him as the secret puppetmaster behind the curtains.

[[WMG: The Crypt Keeper was Rod Serling BackFromTheDead.]]
After he quit the Night Gallery and long after he was done taking people into the Twilight Zone, Rod Serling moved into a creepy old mansion upon a hill, he died and decided to continue telling creepy stories even after his own death in the crypt... way down below his house. Due to the location, he took up the moniker of "The Crypt Keeper". But for this to be true, you would have to ignore the Crypt episode, "Lower Berth".
* Who said Rod Serling was a normal human? Perhaps his supernatural origins are what gave him his connection to The Twilight Zone.
[[WMG: The Cryptkeeper is the same one from the Amicus movie of the 70's.]]
It's entirely possible that after a few decades of being an undead, his mind began to rot a little bit. His personality change could also be explained away by the fact that his brain is rotting too, so he's gone a little funny. For this you would have to ignore Lower Berth again.
* Well, not so much ignore it as decide the Crypt Keeper was lying. But ''would'' you really have to? You could still have ''Lower Berth'' be the backstory of the 1970's Keeper, why not? (The comics version already has a completely different look for Baby Cryptie, if you're worried about the appearance.)

[[WMG: The Crypt Keeper plays on the tire swing hanging from the tree in his yard, when he is bored!]]
Why else would he have it there?

[[WMG: The stories were all true, but they don't happen until the Crypt Keeper tells them to us.]]
In that way, he [[RewritingReality actually makes the stories reality]]. Thus making ol' Crypty a type of ancient god.
* "While the Cat's Away", the first episode of the animated spinoff WesternAnimation/TalesFromTheCryptKeeper, seems to confirm this theory. The Crypt Keeper tells us the whole story as he leaves for his vacation, and it ends with the boys that broke into the house running into the Crypt Keeper soon after he returns from his vacation.

[[WMG: Miguel Ferrer's character from ''As Ye Sow'' is the same guy from ''The Thing From The Grave''.]]
Assuming that As Ye Sow happens first chronologically, it makes perfect sense that his assassin character from that episode would later start dating Terri Hatcher's character from ''The Thing From The Grave''. His past as a killer would explain why he was so psycho in the latter episode and why he was so good at killing.
** It also makes sense in terms of both characters' moral stance on infidelity: The hitman in ''As Ye Sow'' took a job to to kill a priest for sleeping with another man's wife, and Ferrer's character in ''The Thing from the Grave'' killed a man for the same reason.

[[WMG: The Cryptkeeper's [[spoiler:father's condition explains the Cryptkeeper's obvious preoccupation with Siamese twins]].]]
According to the end framing segment of "Lower Berth," the Cryptkeeper's [[spoiler:father had two faces, which is generally only seen in conjoined twins]]. This is the reason why the Cryptkeeper chooses to tell so many stories that involve [[spoiler:conjoined twins]].

[[WMG: The protagonists in the stories were the old corpses in the Cryptkeeper's crypt.]]
The stories explain who they all were and ''usually'' how they died.

[[WMG: The Cryptkeeper wants the audience to delight in the deaths of the protagonists as much as he does.]]
To this end, he deliberately portrays the protagonists [[AssholeVictim unsympathetically]] so the audience will perceive their ultimate fate as being [[KarmicTwistEnding deserved]].

[[WMG: [[UnreliableNarrator None of the stories are true!]]]]
The Cryptkeeper just makes the stories up to keep his mind occupied during his very boring tomb-maintenance job.

[[WMG: Nelson Halliwell from Leading Role is an alias of [[Series/TheAddamsFamily Gomez Addams]].]]
Same actor, same personality. At some point he and his family were committed in different asylums.

[[WMG: The Cryptkeeper is not ''the'' original Cryptkeeper.]]
The owners of that house coincidentally collected ''Tales from the Crypt'' comics. After they died, an old ghoul haunting the tombs below raided the house, fell in love with all the comics, and started pretending he was the presenter of the stories.

[[WMG: Alternatively, he is the same Cryptkeeper from the comics who's gone mad]]
The Cryptkeeper was very old, almost ancient, in the comic books, which ceased publication 30 years before the series started. The reason why The Cryptkeeper is more violent in the show {The comic Cryptkeepr was never shown torturing innocent victims, for example) is because he's GoneMadFromtheIsolation and is taking it out on any poor soul unlucky enough to come across him. The Old Witch and The Vaultkeeper aren't around (I'm not including Tales From the Cryptkeeper here) is because he killed them and added them to his collection of skeletons.
