[[WMG:Sturm is actually Rachel. She's been taking estradiol and is doing a lot better emotionally these days.]]
In AW1, Sturm shows great familiarity with Orange Star: his units are duplicates of theirs, he clones Andy as part of his plan. But Andy, Max and Sami have no idea who he is - how did Sturm acquire that knowledge?
Then in AW2, after Sturm is defeated, Hawke kills him... or does he? The words "kill" or "dead" are never uttered in regards to Sturm, in Dual Strike it's simply mentioned that Sturm is "no longer around."
Dual Strike also introduces Rachel, Nell's heretofore-unmentioned sister who has been given an extremely high position in the Orange Star army. Rachel's SCOP is very similar to Sturm's in effect, as she shoots missiles with the exact same range as Sturm's meteor.
We never see Sturm's face, nor meet anyone else from his supposed race of aliens. It's far more likely that Sturm is a Wars World native who concocted the alien backstory to throw people off the trail of his true identity. This person would have to be someone with familiarity with Orange Star as well.
Thus the pieces fall into place: Sturm is actually Nell's biologically-male sister, who for reasons unknown founded Black Hole and tried to conquer the world. After Sturm's defeat in AW2, she received therapy and hormone treatments and has now been tasked with cleaning up her own mess by destroying the remnants of Black Hole.
* Somewhat jossed by the ending of the ReBoot Camp version of Advance Wars 2, but Sturm doesn't leave a body behind, just his hat

[[WMG:Sturm from Advance Wars 1 and 2 caused the meteor shower that started the events of Days of Ruin]]
Sturm's Super CO Power was the ability to call down a meteor strike. Sure, he was supposedly killed by Hawke at the end of Advance Wars 2, but we didn't even see anything, just text. And given how mechanical Sturm looked, who's to say he wasn't able to survive that, or perhaps had a backup body somewhere. And thus, he hid and built up enough energy to devastate the world with a massive meteor strike. We could see the next Advance Wars game still set AfterTheEnd with the crew up against a Sturm, now ready to take a world that can barely survive, let alone fend off his attacks.
* Notice how, game-mechanics-wise, Black Storm can't actually kill anyone, only blast units to 1 HP.
** Lampshaded in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anSKa7tpF5I&feature=related this]] episode of Bob Squad.
** Actually, it and missiles can kill people just fine, it just can't kill 1/10 people and big machines.
*** And the intro of days of ruin said 90% of humanity died. 90%=110 left!
* Like above, the ReBoot Camp somewhat Jossed this idea.

[[WMG:Gage/Trak is Grit]]
When the meteors hit, Blue Moon was sent into chaos. Colin (or so he thought) and Olaf died, leaving only Grit. The shock sent him into a permanent state of [[LetsGetDangerous Let's Get Dangerous]], allowing him to learn how to use sea units as well as ranged units. He also stopped dyeing his hair non-blue to fit in with others, as he no longer cared about physical appearances, farms, or his BrilliantButLazy shtick. He now only cares about [[IDidWhatIHadToDo doing what he has to do]], and stopping Eagle and Sami's insane daughter, Zadia/Tasha, from getting what's left of Blue Moon destroyed.

[[WMG:Jugger is Flak]]
The two [=COs=] have very similar descriptions, and almost the exact same powers. As well, while Flak is in Dual Strike, he isn't anywhere in the story mode. In one of the missions in [=AW2=], Lash makes mention of Flak volunteering to be a guinea pig in one of her experiments. Perhaps said experiment was the classic 'human brain in robot body,' with poor Flak's brain shoved full of {{restraining bolt}}s and electrodes. After all, you don't want to risk a smart CO's brain on a potentially dangerous transplant like that.

Or, alternatively, Lash couldn't succeed in making a robot, and went with a [[http://captaininvincible.deviantart.com/art/Advance-Wars-DS-Recycling-25460869 quick-fix]] solution.

[[WMG:Caulder's clones are all female for naughty purposes]]
Caulder's only male clone is the one he wants to [[GrandTheftMe hijack]], every other clone (the 3 [=COs=], and the IDS troops) is female. There are only 2 possible explanations; the only other one, ForScience (fascinating!), isn't THAT unlikely though.
** It is more of a contigency plan; in the unlikely event that Caulder and his only male clone croaks, the females will attempt to seek out survivors to repopulate and commence a mantis style operation, whereafter having a sufficient population kill their husbands. That or the troops are literal androids.
** That, or he took a note from [[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaStrikers Jail]] and has them all carrying clones of himself inside them. Brings up a new level of {{Squick}}, though.

[[WMG:Caulder isn't an OmnidisciplinaryScientist.]]
Caulder himself is only skilled in Biology, specifically microbiology (viruses) and cloning technology. All the other high technology and superweapons he uses were designed by other scientists working for his company, IDS. He uses them simply to satisfy his curiosity as to their effects, especially on desperate survivors.

[[WMG:Greyfield in ''Days of Ruin'' is actually Colin.]]
After the meteors hit, Colin couldn't handle the loss of his sister and went crazy, so he, sitting on wads of cash, supplies, and whatever soldiers remained, decided to set up a totalitarian government, with him as the leader.

[[WMG:Wars World is actually Valhalla.]]
Everyone's fighting all the time, and they seem to be pretty perky about it (at least in [=AW=] and [=AW2=]). Perhaps that's because they know that they'll return to life after every game.
* So does this mean VideoGame/TeamFortress2 is in Advance Wars?

[[WMG:Until Days of Ruin, Wars World was actually a series of training sims.]]
As noted in the WMG above, nobody seems to mind the constant fighting (and presumable loss of life), even the most idealistic characters. Then notice that Days of Ruin starts with Will leaving the ruins of his military academy, and that this is the first (and only) game in the series where the [=COs=] actually mention and agonize over the fact that they're sending their men into possible death. Clearly, ''these'' soldiers are real, but the previous ones weren't: the other games were tactical training exercises Will was going through in the academy, but the meteorite strike interrupted them and made him use that experience in the real world.

[[WMG:The entire game is a virtual reality Massive Multiplayer Strategy Game]]
Further developing the above theory, the whole ''VideoGame/AdvanceWars'' series up until ''Days of Ruin'' was an online game. Explains a lot, wouldn't it? The dissonance of [=COs=] sending armies to their deaths apathetically, how pipelines, infantry, and submarines can stop aircraft, how you can 'restart' missions with advice on what to do this time, even if this was a 'last chance' scenario. And let's not forget the 'time limits' in Dual Strike. Stop the missile in 30 minutes... yet take a week in turns to win?

The answer is that the entire series (Except Battalion Wars and Days of Ruin) is actually some form of MMO Strategy game. A very immersive one, possibly somewhat Virtual Reality. [=COs=] are obviously real players logged in. It's debatable if they're the only real humans, or perhaps people start as commanders of platoons, and work their way up to full-on [=COs=]. Given how, sometimes, [=COs=] get status reports from nameless soldiers, these are perhaps actual players doing the legwork. And since they get easily respawned if their platoon is wiped out, there isn't a lot of concern if they 'die.' The [=CO=] abilities are actual abilities given to them in-game, as a result of being high-enough level to earn a name. Each battle is often a programmed 'instance', hence why you can restart with some advice even if you've lost the final desperate battle. Just respawn and retry.

It's not the uncaring/fun-loving [=COs=] that are being apathetic at war, it's the [=COs=] that do care role-playing. Many battles are actually 'instances' started by one player and answered by another.

To explain everything, let's go with a timeline. All the Famicom Wars up until Advance Wars 1 was the game in pure. There was no plotline, and everyone was just running around blowing stuff up. Every new game was an upgrade in the software, or the latest expansion.

Eventually, guilds started forming. The most known being Red Star, Yellow Comet, Blue Moon, and Green Earth. This was also when the beta-test of enhanced abilities was being implemented. Red Star changed to Orange Star due to too many jokes. Between Super Famicom Wars and Advance Wars, these four guilds decided to form their own servers. They made Cosmo Land as a battle server where the four could just duke it out. Macro Land was meant as a sort of RP/Downtime server, and a home base with a peace treaty in place. Property acquisition was important in this edition, so to prevent the decimation of a guild, they used Macro Land to make sure no guild is completely wiped out. Even if a guild was eliminated in Cosmo Land, they still had Macro Land to come from and reclaim property with. They closed off to all the outside servers to keep out the riffraff and jackasses you'll invariably get with any [=MMO=] game. Now newbies had to fill out an application and wait.

A new player, with the screenname Andy, worked his way up and became a [=CO=] for Orange Star. However, it seemed that this Andy ignored many of the agreements between the guilds in the Cosmo Land Server, causing a huge uproar as the other guilds demanded his head for the destruction he was causing in their properties. This kicked off Advance Wars 1. Eventually, it was found out that another 'Andy' was responsible, a 'fake' meant to disturb the balance in Wars World. The culprit? A hacker calling himself 'Sturm.' He founded his own guild, 'Black Hole,' hacked his own abilities to give himself a completely unfair advantage, and made a 'duplicate' Andy by giving Andy's abilities to a script kiddie he had working for him. Eventually, he was pushed out of Cosmo Land.

Not content, this excrement-disturber Sturm decided to revisit, this time with several other hackers in tow. And now Sturm managed to hack the game in very interesting ways, most notably with his 'pipelines,' seemingly normal terrain that blocked ALL movement. And this time, he decided to attack where people weren't expecting him to, in Macro Land. The piping away resources plot ties back to the virtual reality aspect of this world. How could a pipeline suck away such a nebulous concept as 'resources' unless it's a computer medium, where 'resources' is literally the world economy? The missile assault was just the plot for an instance, though. After that, Sturm was threatening to destroy the entire server, but Hawke manually logged his ass off and 'eliminated' his virtual avatar (In a sense, [=IP=] banning him). The rest of Black Hole, now getting swept up in this [=RPing=] that the nations are known for, willingly left.

However, the Black Hole guild attacked again. A quick scan found that they had set up base in another server, Omega Land, and several of the local players there were complaining about the chaos they were causing in their server. And, thus, the Allied Nations formed and invaded Omega Land to restore balance and push out Black Hole for good. Some players had to stay behind to fend off the smaller Black Hole attacks in Macro Land, so they recruited the local players into their various factions.

Von Bolt, the new head of Black Hole, was [=RPing=] the 'draining' of Omega Land's health, but in reality the black crystals and Obilesks were sucking the bandwith from Omega Land, and using it for his own purpose, possibly webpages. (Remember, Virtual Reality, where such odd concepts can be represented tangibly.) Hawke and Lash were playing along before learning what this selfish jerk was using the game server for. Finding that out (and annoyed Von Bolt wasn't giving them any bandwidth), they split for the other team.

The final scene, with Jake and Von Bolt facing off, is confusing. After all, why would Jake care about 'shooting' one man, if he had ordered innumerable troops to kill and be killed? Especially if it wasn't really him, just a virtual representation? It is possible that this [=VR=] is so immersive, that people are actually wetwired into the system, and killing their avatar results in their deaths, or severe damage to their neural systems. Or perhaps it completely fries their computer network. Hard to say.

* This is possibly the best idea I've ever heard. Ever.
* Agreed. Urge to write fanfic... rising...
* Does this mean ''Days of Ruin'' is a DarkerAndEdgier sequel to the MMO? Explains why the character list is so small; only the elite roleplayers started immediately playing it, as most of the original game's fanbase could have disliked the grittier setting the sequel offered and were reluctant to pick up a copy.
* Well, there is always the possibility that Days of Ruin was actually a test of a new player-created weather effect system that began wreaking havoc with the server it was tested on.
* Or alternately, and tying back in with the "training sim" version above, Days of Ruin is the real world. It's still absurdly war-torn, but it's, well, real. Can you blame the civilian population for burying themselves in a cartoonish parody of the hell outside? And if it helps get the next generation of generals ready, so much the better.
* Or following on that killing someone in game can be dangerous, perhaps the meteors destroying the world is actually a virus which has badly corrupted a server, as well as the artificial hacked creeper virus, both of these cause all units to die permanently, thus why they are more worried about death in Days of Ruin.
** [[{{Jossed}} All of it Jossed until further notice]]...

[[WMG:[[LukeIAmYourFather Hawke is Eagle's Father]]]]
* Other than the white hair, though, he doesn't really seem that old. (And since Max's is ''blue'', it might not even be a sign of age in the first place.) That said, since no one seems to have given ages, Hawke could be [[OlderThanTheyLook older than he looks]]... Though it's ''also'' implied that Eagle gets his AcePilot tendencies from his dad, and Hawke doesn't show any aircraft preferences.

[[WMG:The Wars World series is a ''VideoGame/DigitalDevilSaga'' style simulation run by IDS]]
Andy asks what an airport is because he has genuinely not existed before the start of the game.

[[WMG:"CO"'s are given that position because they have powers that can affect the outcome of wars]]
It would explain why they'd put someone like Andy in charge.
* Or why any kid can be in charge... [[OlderThanTheyLook Unless...]]

[[WMG:Andy had his memory erased between the first and second game.]]
"What's an airport" indeed. However, this brings up several more important questions...

[[WMG:The Guerrilla forces Lash didn't take seriously were actually being led by the Supervisor.]]
That is, the representation of the player from the first game.

[[WMG:The whole series is actually a historical reenactment-meets-LARP session.]]
Using blanks, fake tanks, and explosives, of course.

[[WMG:"What's an airport" and or "Really? Continents?" will be repeated in the next game...]]
Only this time, as it's a [=DoR/DC=] sequel, the person who says it will have grown up post-apocalypse and it will make sense that they aren't fully aware of the concept.

[[WMG:Sturm is a Green Earth defector]]
First off, Green Earth is a FantasyCounterpartCulture of Germany or at least Europe. Second, Sturm is a Germanic name; even his original Japanese name is also somewhat German-ish. Third, no one really knows where Sturm is really from, we just assume he is an alien because of his otherwordly appearance. So in conclusion, Sturm is probably a former Green Earth CO who defected and created his own organization.
* It is implied that most of the Black Hole are aliens and they need augmentations to survive on the the other faction's planet..

[[WMG:Most of the characters in ''Days Of Ruin'' have full names consisting of their American and European names.]]
Though except for a few, it can vary which ones are their first and last names. Will could be Edward Williams or William Edward (Or Edmund, or any other variation of Ed), Forsythe Carter or Carter Forsythe both work, while either Greyfield Sigismundo or Sigismundo Greyfield sound pompous. Others are a little more clear cut. Tasha Zadia and Gage Trak sound odd, but it could just be Rubinelle/Laurentia naming conventions.

Mainly, though, this theory exists because Brenner O'Brian sounds awesome.

This theory doesn't work as well with Caulder's clone children, admittedly. Unless they have different last names for whatever reason.
* That would mean Lin would end up being... [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment Lin Lin]].
** Hence why I said ''most'' of the characters, not all.
*** In Caulder's case, Caulder is the surname. I believe he's referred to as Dr. Caulder, implying that Caulder is actually the surname. Tabitha Caulder, Penny Caulder and Cyrus Caulder all work. Inversely, Larissa Stolos, Lili Stolos, and Cyrus Stolos all work. Plus, the OP did say "most", meaning there are a few exceptions.

[[WMG:The entire Blue Moon used to be a part of Orange Star that gained independence and became a country of its own some time in the near past]]
Both Olaf and Grit used to be with Orange Star, after all, meaning the entirety of the Blue Moon military command comes from its rival country. One does not need to take this thought much further to come to the conclusion that there was a civil war, resulting in the country splitting in half.
* This could neatly explain why Olaf gets PatrioticFervor in [=AW2=] and [=AWDS=] despite supposedly not being from Blue Moon. If he lived in the part of Orange Star that eventually became Blue Moon, it would solve the contradiction there.
* This theory would be perfect if it weren't for the implication that Olaf is Nell and Rachel's father, which leaves the question as to why they would want to work for the country that their homeland broke away from. Maybe their mother was from Orange Star and they stayed with her after the war?

[[WMG: The Teddy Bear, Mr. Bear, that Penny, from Days of Ruin, has is actually [[Anime/ParanoiaAgent Maromi]].]]
It talks to her.

[[WMG: It wasn't Sturm who caused the meteor shower at the start of [=AWDoR=], it was Tabitha.]]
The post-apocalyptic world was just great for IRS, and Caulder is a Chessmaster. Perhaps he made Tabitha in order to create the ideal scenario to execute his plans. After all, her CO Power ''is'' called Apocalypse in AWDC, and evokes Meteor Strike.

[[WMG:Days of Ruin shares the same universe as {{Videogame/Fallout}}]]
When you think about it, it makes sense. They talk about a "Great War", and after that the world turned into a Wasteland. Fallout takes place centuries after Days of Ruin, with most info lost and/or destroyed to avoid the future generations of repeating the same mistake as them. This means that the meteor shower could be the true reason the entire world almost died, and the lack of info made everyone think that the Great War caused it.

The meteors detonated the nuclear missiles silos all over the world, which in turn spread the radiation and created all the mutants and radioactive creatures. After years of fighting, the factories were destroyed and/or broke down, unable to create more units. Because of this, it didn't take long for the mutant creatures to start to populating the Wasteland, and the CO powers disappeared as time went on.

The Creeper virus was kept in a hidden lab by the Enclave and used for the experiments of Vault 22, so that instead of killing its host, the plants would use their spores to spread further and control their victims as mindless zombies. Everything makes sense!

[[WMG: The GBA entries and Dual Strike are a dramatized endgame of {{VideoGame/Civilization}}]]
The dramatization was made by the last four players after they finished playing. Each nation represents the last four players left in the game. Orange Star is a USA player, Blue Moon is a Russia player, Green Earth is a Germany player who has annexed a number of cities from other players using European civs, and Yellow Comet is a Japan player. Black Hole represents a barbarian encampment that went unnoticed, and it got really strong while it was out of focus. Eventually, the four players did an EnemyMine to take out the barbarian encampment, which turned out to have spread quite fast. The Commanders, different gameplay style, and the story are part of the dramatization. Orange Star being the main nation in the first game is because the USA player was winning the game at that point. As for the lack of winner between the four nations, they had reached 2050AD in-game by the point Dual Strike ends.

[[WMG: Andy is an intuitive master of warfare and could easily conquer Wars World]]
All the characters treat Andy as this bizarre combination of wunderkind and bumbling idiot. The truth is far more dangerous, and they all know it, even if Andy doesn't. Andy has the potential to be The Perfect CO, able to win any and all battles, on any scale, under any conditions. None could withstand him if he were to set his will upon conquest. So everyone else is living is living with a monster in their midst, with always a smile on their face. (It's a Good Life)

He doesn't realize this though, and every single one of the other characters is engaged in an elaborate act to keep it that way. Unable to keep him from his destined aptitude, they allowed the child to start leading troops on their terms, so that he wouldn't do it on his own. Soon his need for war required appeasement, and so the first Advance War was arranged. Hundreds of thousands of troops went to their deaths under the command of a joyful child, so that millions more wouldn't. They carefully cultivated his "Gee willikers! Great battle!" attitude, playing along to reinforce a childish idea of a "jolly good war".

Otherwise he would take war seriously. His innocence in the face of the slaughter of his troops is the first of the seven seals. When at last it breaks... behold, a white horse, and Andy who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

[[WMG: The foot soldiers in most of these games are automatons, and the vehicles without visible operators are unmanned.]]
At least taking the GBA games into account, [=COs=] treat all of their troops as completely expendable (to the point where they regularly hold "friendly spars" with each other's armies), all troops obey their CO's orders without question or hesitation even into suicidal areas (or when [[TheDitz Andy]] is in charge), Andy's Hyper Repair also "fixes" foot soldiers, and every single unit explodes when eliminated. The best explanation for how these are even possible is if ''everything'' engaged in battle is a machine, including the units that look like people, as the [=COs=] hang out safely from a distance watching the battles play out and guiding them where to go. It also explains day-to-day abilities and CO Powers; each CO builds their troops in slightly different ways, hence their unique strengths and weaknesses, and Powers are basically the [=COs=] "supercharging" their units for a short while.
* This is actually given further credence in ''Days of Ruin'': bases are now factories, and Morris tells you in the mission where you first utilize them that the units they produce shut down if they move too far away - again, including the foot soldiers. It also makes sense in that it shouldn't be possible to churn out hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers in a world in which humanity has been nearly wiped out, unless said soldiers where mechanical in nature.

[[WMG: The next game will have a [[LevelUpAtIntimacyFive Support]] [[Franchise/FireEmblem System]].]]
Intelligent Systems is trying to make such a feature work in the series, so it'll come out when they make it work.

Just in case someone from Intelligent Systems might stumble upon it, here are ways this could happen/work.

The support will be between the [=COs=].

You gain "support points" by pulling actions that involve two [=COs=] such as switching, Dual CO Powers, etc.

[[WMG: Adder is a reincarnation of Valter from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.]]
Think about it: both are shown to be sneaky, plotting men with a slender build and purple hair. Both care nothing about their troops, country, or even the land they fight for, and they're both ambitious generals.
* Minor nit-picky correction: Valter's hair is more bluish. That aside, they ''are'' quite similar personality-wise, so this is an excellent crossover guess.

[[WMG: Andy has medical skills.]]
Andy, as a mechanical engineer can repair any kind of unit, including tanks, submarines, airships, naval units and so on. But his skills can go beyond that an he goes on his way to repair infantry and mech units too. The only explanation for this is that Andy is not just a mechanic, but he's probably a medic too, or at least he has some medical skills. He probably helps wounded soldiers to heal fast so they can rejoin the action quickly. Also, he might as well repair the bazookas and rifles thos units use as well so they don't have to go unarmed.

[[WMG: Tabitha/Larissa was not found because she received brain damage]]
I feel this could be a reasonable way Penny/Lili was not able to tell if her sister was dead or not.
Receiving brain damage is no joke, after all.

[[WMG: Hawke, Lash, Flak, & Adder are clones of Eagle, Sonja, Max, & Grit respectively]]
After the failure of the Andy clone, Sturm made the next batch more distinctive from their original selves so they wouldn't be as predictable in their tactics. Each of them was cloned from a CO from each of the 4 nations to ensure Black Hole was prepared to fight all of them.
* Eagle -> Hawke is straightforward, bird based names & similar hair color. Even his europeon name Maverick could be taken a TopGun refference. Hawke made his first appearance in Green Earth & remains Eagle's most hated enemy afterwards.
* Sonja -> Lash, they are rivals and the brainy girls of their factions.
* Max -> Flak, both are TheBigGuy of their respective factions and Flak is the 1st to attack Orange Star.
* Grit -> Adder is admittedly the weakest comparison. Both are tall, lanky guys that keep their hands in their pockets. Grit calls Adder his #1 enemy.
** Adder and Grit function as foils and counters to each other. Grit's abilities involve extending the range of indirect combat units, while Adder's CO powers increase the movement range of units to allow them to more easily close distances and overwhelm defenders trying to fight from long range.

[[WMG: Penny’s Mr. Bear is a machine built by Caulder]]
When Caulder decided to have Penny enter combat, he developed Mr. Bear for her, presumably under the guise of giving her a SecurityBlanket. Of course, being Caulder, he actually has a different reason for creating Mr. Bear, and this relates to Penny’s role in combat. Some possibilities for Mr. Bear’s true purpose:
* Mr. Bear is bugged in some capacity. Caulder put a spycam or something similar in him, which would relay information from battle back to Caulder. By using this, Caulder can get quick access to results from the battlefield.
* There is an AI in Mr. Bear. Penny often talks as if the toy is speaking to her. This is actually true, and thanks to this AI, he is able to act as Penny’s strategist, giving her ideas for how to approach a fight.
* Mr. Bear is actually the interface by which Penny’s CO Power works. I’m this case, he has some kind of miniature weather machine built into him, and Penny can use this to activate her power and change the weather. The weather being random could mean one of two things. Either Penny doesn’t fully understand the device, and while she can use it, she doesn’t know how to specify a weather type, or the device actually can’t make a specific choice, either due to being a prototype, or possibly intentionally designed that way by Caulder, as it would be more [[CatchPhrase fascinating]] that way.

[[WMG: The wars in the original trilogy aren't real: rather, the "[=COs=]" are just ordinary people playing a board game.]]
In addition to the usual explanation of why the [=COs=] treat their armies as completely expendable, it also explains the turn-based nature of the game, the strictly grid-based movement, and the nature of CO Powers - basically, each player is allowed to bend the rules a bit after they've dealt/taken enough damage as a way of preventing the games from constantly reaching a stalemate. The remake all but confirms this, with the maps being laid out on a wooden board and the units bearing a much closer resemblance to toys.

[[WMG: The reason behind 1st Lt Lin's CustomUniformOfSexy in the otherwise serious and grittier Days of Ruin...]]
Is that with the apocalypse, there were not that many uniforms her size left. What few were still left may have fallen victim to laundry accidents.

[[WMG: Flak is not stupid, but rather is [[TheMole Orange Star's inside man]] [[ObfuscatingStupidity faking stupidity to hinder Black Hole from the inside.]]]]
Flak makes suicidal charges that end up with Black Hole units beaten in an attempt to weaken their invasion force. It is stablished that Hawke promoted Flak so he could conquer Orange Star, which would make absolutely no sense at all if Flak were as dumb as a sack of bricks who constantly messes with his aim and could not be more unfitting for the whole job....unless of course he managed to sway Hawke with his tactical prowess so he could actually get into an important position on the first place. And why the rest of the Orange Star CO's doesn't know that? Well, maybe Nell does know as the commander in chief but decides to go against blowing his cover knowing how important it is. The rest of the Orange Star might just simply not know the truth, and definitely not Andy because, well, Andy is naive enough to be bad at keeping important secrets.

[[WMG: CO abilities and powers are connected to DNA]]
There’s two lines in Re-Boot Camp that support this. First, a line from Hachi where he mentions Nell’s beauty mark and luck coming from her mother (likely Catherine from Super Famicom Wars), while Rachel has no such mark, and also happens to have normal luck, and muses on if the mark correlates with good luck. Since beauty marks can (but not always) come from genetics, perhaps the relevant gene in Nell’s family also correlates to the ability, with Rachel gaining luck from her regular power potentially being due to tapping into recessive genes. The second supporting line is Clone Andy’s character select quote “Genome file activated”. Giving such a file to what seems to be a robot seems unusual, unless it serves some purpose, and if Andy’s Hyper Repair is from his DNA, it would explain why his EvilKnockoff needs a sample of said DNA installed. This also reconciles the discrepancy of a clone made from DNA acting more like a robot, most likely, Clone Andy is a robot, but uses a sample of Andy’s DNA to copy his powers, and as such, the term clone is applied due to said DNA’s usage.

[[WMG: Clone Andy will appear in a future Dual Strike DLC for Re-Boot Camp.]]
In the original, it was outright stated that Sturm's defeat in [=AW1=] would make Clone Andy disappear. In Re-Boot Camp, the line was left more ambiguous, with the characters hoping it would be the case. While it may allude to Clone Andy being PromotedToPlayable, it could still open the door for such an interaction where the original Clone Andy meets the Allied Nations after so long as opposed to just another clone in Black Hole's army.

[[WMG: Future factions we might see]]
* A more modern/utopian sci-fi Japan-based heroic faction similar to the Solar Empire from Battalion Wars
* A faction of religious zealots
* A ''Franchise/FireEmblem''-based faction whose tech looks medieval aesthetically but is actually quite advanced
* A ''Franchise/{{Metroid}}''-based faction referencing the cameo Samus made as a Red/Orange Star CO in the first Famicom Wars

[[WMG: Caulder is a former Black Hole scientist]]
Firstly, there's the fact that he has extremely pale skin, a trait most Black Hole [=COs=] have, and beneath his lab coat wears black, the color associated with the faction. He's also a specialist in cloning, something Black Hole was shown to be able to do, and possesses technology that's far more advanced than the other factions in the ''Days of Ruin'' world. Presumably, he was a Black Hole scientist who survived its downfall and founded IDS from its remnants.
