[[WMG: Akron last awoke when cats were the dominant civilization]]
They managed to [[spoiler:seal Akron]], but their advanced civilization was destroyed in the process. Over the ages, they have slowly begun to rebuild their civilization, but humans have out-paced them and become the dominant life-form.
* The heroes might even be the ancient feline counterparts to Matt, Natz and Lance (the Lance counterpart leaving his/her tank [[note]]the Protector that was the boss of the kitten kingdom ruins[[/note]] behind... just to be destroyed by the trio we know.) Possibly even an ancestor of [=NoLegs=], too...
** Jossed. [[spoiler: Akron was ''created'' by Godcat]], which got jossed again when [[spoiler: the existence of The Devourer]] is confirmed.

[[WMG: Oblivion is Akron's rival]]
Oblivion is the super form of the final boss in 3.3, and represents omnipresent destruction, a counterpart to Origin of Life, who represents creation. Obiivion's been around since, possibly, the beginning of time, and Akron's been around for millions of years. Both seem to exist only to destroy, and both are ''very'' powerful. It only makes sense that they would be enemies or rivals of some sort.
* With Godcat confirmed to appear in EBF 4, it is possible that rivalry may have shifted to the heroes who outright KILLED Akron.

[[WMG: Anna has only recently taken up a forest life]]
Anna is an all around NatureHero who uses a bow and actually has smaller breasts than Natz... But in the first EBF, an NPC in a shop with the same hair and larger breasts appeared. Leading on from this, it is possible that Anna, like Lance, acted to help stop the chaos that was raging, and took to the forests to train herself in some form of combat. As a result, she lost some weight, and the only place that could leave from comfortably is the breasts. She then encountered Matt and Natz at some point before EBF 3.3, and joined the group, having helped them before by running a shop. She brought a bush with her since the others had some sort of non-human companion with them (Matt = [=NoLegs=], Natz = the mammoth, Lance = Scanbot, which was taken out of retirement after Lance's scanner was destroyed in some offscreen battle after defeating Akron.)

[[WMG: Lance had an abusive father]]
Two of Lance's potential responses from weak enemy attacks are something to the effect of "My dad hit harder than that when I was a kid." and "I've seen my mother survive harder hits than that." Seems only logical where such lines would come from, then...
* That goes some way to explain [[FreudianExcuse why he wanted to take over the world in the second game]].
* As an addition, Lance's father may have been a miner. In the fourth game, he mentions with a ThousandYardStare how he was taken on a mining trip one time, and how it evidently scarred him for life. It was a reference to ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'' and PlayedForLaughs at the time, but it might make more sense now if his father had a horrifying job like that. Combined with some [=NPCs=] actually protesting how unfair the economic system is, ([=PCs=] kill monsters to earn money, then Shopkeepers charge insane amounts and hog all the money) it's possible Lance came from a non-PC/Shopkeeper home... Which isn't a good thing.
** ''Bullet Heaven 2'' adds to this. In 4-5, Lance says he might have a phobia of being buried alive. [[spoiler:A few lines later, he is crying and reveals that his dad was killed in a mine-crafting incident. "He just wanted those diamonds so badly... and then... Boom! All that was left of him was his shovel... and some blocks of wood... and a single lump of coal." (Jarringly enough, Anna is the only one to react to the reveal, as the post-boss dialogue is all about how Lance conquered his fear and where they're supposed to go next.)]]
** This is still true in the soft reboot that is 5. Lance's father died when he was young in a "minecrafting accident", and he was raised in Redpine Orphanage. When he visits Anna's home and sees her parents, he's genuinely dumbstruck as to how a normal family functions and how it makes him feel, and when you finally reach Redpine Village, he decides that the only thing his father did right was teach him how to shoot. [[HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood You also pass by a noose in Redpine, and Lance remarks that his father tried to hang him as a child when he thought Lance's growth was stunted in order to make him taller.]]

[[WMG: Godcat was being manipulated]]
By some even more ancient Deity, who used Godcat to create Humanity in ''it's'' image because it was too lazy to, as the true dominant species. The ending wasn't Godcat having an epiphany, it was the even more ancient Deity taking over Godcat to stop it from destroying humans. And it will be the boss of the fifth game, since the pattern of "Boss from last game was made by a result of boss from this game's actions". The heroes are simply ''annoyed'' and get to grinding again.
* [[spoiler:This has been made canon with the reveal of The Devourer in [=EBF5=].]]

[[WMG: Natz and the Beholder had a child.]]

The Beholder's attack in the fourth game prompts Natalie to hope she doesn't get pregnant from it "again". While that may mean she again doesn't want to get pregnant from the beholder, it could mean that she has indeed gotten pregnant with a beholder child, carried it to term, and there is now a freaking Natz/Beholder hybrid wandering around. Natz/Beholder child for EBF 5 new hero.
* For the sake of sanity, let's hope that what she meant was "I'm having the same hopes as last time", rather than "I hope this doesn't go the same as last time."
** For the sake of insanity, let's assume that child is Cthulhu.

[[WMG: Natz does not want to use the Sol Spear in EBF 3 because Catastrophe hit her with it during the EBF 1 summon.]]
She hogs the other spear because it's better as a staff anyways.

[[WMG:How the side games' stories are connected]]
Of course, ''Epic Battle Fantasy 1'' came first. But before ''2'', Lance started gaining strength and gathering devout followers, and wanted to take Natalie for his queen, kicking off the plot of ''Adventure Story''. Matt rescued Natalie but failed to get Lance, and ''Epic Battle Fantasy 2'' came from there. Later, once Akron was defeated, the Godcats began to fight over what to do with the humans who dared destroy him completely, and the heroes decided to stop them before their fighting destroyed the world in ''Bullet Heaven''. The heroes only managed to stop the Godcats' quarrel, but then they struggled to get along, and the heroes stole everything they could in case the Godcats ever got along.

* I think Bullet Heaven happened during the events of [=EBF4=], as Anna and Godcat are present. For Bullet Heaven 2, it's quite easy to just say it happens after [=EBF4=].

[[WMG: The shopkeeper from EBF 1 was Anna's mother]]
StrongFamilyResemblance? Maybe even GenerationXerox?

[[WMG: Lance has PTSD to an extent]]
If the above WMG about Lance is taken as true (and the games give no evidence against it), he was certainly in a position to have developed it. Even if it's not true somehow, Lance still presumably served in the military, and the condition was first named with veterans in mind. There's also the fact that [[spoiler:he saw his father die in front of him.]] Now, as for the symptoms? Let's see...
* Reliving the Event: Visiting enclosed caves seems to trigger unpleasant memories of the traumatic event, as EBF 4 and 4.4 (Bullet Heaven 2) demonstrate.
* Bad Feelings About Others: When the player first encounters the Dark Players in Battle Mountain, Lance makes an offhanded remark about how he's wanted to kill the others. This included Matt, who was his friend prior to the second game, and Natz, who he has feelings for. He generally doesn't seem like he likes the others, but if he hated them so much, why would he stay with them? Also of note is that this symptom includes not being able to talk about the traumatic event in question; note that we only get details about the event after it's brought up a game later.
* Hyperarousal: One of Lance's lines upon revival says that it was the best sleep he's had in a long time. Remember, this is a line he says ''after he's been dead.''
This doesn't excuse Lance's more off-color behavior, but it might go some way to explain why.

[[WMG: Lance didn't actually ''stop'' trying to take over the world.]]
Many of his idles consist of communicating with someone else about topics such as nuclear explosions: it's quite possible he's doing the same thing offscreen and sticking with a party he may not like and knows can defeat him in order to keep them firmly occupied helping him remove future threats to his rule.
* Partially confirmed in Epic Battle fantasy 5.[[spoiler:In the good endings Lance decides its easier to take over the world through capitalism. His new friendships with the party are helping to keep on the straight and narrow path at least for now. Though it is mentioned that this future may not be set in stone.]]

[[WMG: The ArbitraryHeadcountLimit / keeping someone in backup is because of several TPK experiences.]]
We know there's space on the average battlefield for more enemies because in the later games there ''are'', but there's got to be reason the players can't do so either. There's a lot of things that could have easily wiped the party and in some runs do: large explosions, zombie hydra instant death spam with some back luck, Sandworm meat, etc. The three-on-field-at-once is established as effective when Lance joins up. When the party fills up to 4, there's finally the option to keep someone in backup and away from the battlefield wandering around so that most party-wide attacks don't wipe them and so that they can have the opportunity to recuperate.

[[WMG: The Anna-like shopkeeper is just Anna's sister Sarah.]]
She retired from shopkeeping after [=EBF1=] after the Gokusplosion or the violence that lead up to it essentially cleared out the monsters in her area, is presumably staying away from the zones of conflict in [=EBF2=], makes it to a familiar forest in [=EBF3=] where she hangs out for a while but cannot start another potion shop due to competition and waiting on Legolas, and by [=EBF4=] is just deciding to stay home and maybe get into adventuring.

[[WMG: The world's industrial capacity was essentially converted almost entirely to military purposes.]]
Most of the craftsmen and major centers of heavily processed production were destroyed horribly during the early shenanigans like Goku exploding, and afterward various factories were turned into weapons facilities either to take over others in the chaos, fend off each other, or to stem Lance's invasion or whoever (and then the virus/glitch or abandonment hit several of those facilities...)
* Things like stepladders are unique within the scope of the game, certain processed foods are exceedingly expensive, and lots of quest objects get bizarre relatively quickly because the places that make those products have gone the way of cat civilization and few entities remain to take advantage of them.
** Well, the stepladder isn't so much ''a'' ladder as an ''infinite supply'' of ladders ([[NonIndicativeName which aren't actually stepladders]] [[NotTheIntendedUse and only get used as bridges in any case]]), so the rarity may be more justified. The hammer, shovel, and axe, on the other hand, are inexplicably unique. Especially the axe, when many of Matt's swords (though not the ones that are actually clubs, obviously) should be perfectly capable of cutting small trees.

[[WMG: The delimbing of cats gave them limited telekinesis and snail feet.]]
This is why they can still hold things and generally seem to have invisible short limbs or whatever capable of constructing and operating weapons and machinery, and why they are mostly upright.

[[WMG: The delimbing of cats just made their limbs invisible.]]
Meow Meow has visible limbs in some scenes and doesn't have them in others, plus cats can still hold things. Godcat just hid the limb sprites or whatever.

[[WMG:If [=EBF6=] is going to be made, then Phyrrna will be the sixth playable character.]]
Seeing as she has made cameos before in 5 and even became playable (albeit ignored in-universe) in Bullet Heaven 2, she does seem like the most likely next playable character. Also, the amount of playable characters has been the same as the title of the game since [=EBF2=]...

* Possibly jossed. Kupo put in an Easter Egg in 5's Redpine Town about [=EBF6=] being dead. "Here lies [=EBF6=] and the people asking for it" or something like that.

[[WMG:The FinalBoss for an hypothetical [=EBF6=] will be a copyright lawyer.]]
After referencing something they shouldn't, a meta-god threatened to destroy this world, prompting the heroes to confront it.
