''[=TurboCharged=] ARCADE!'' is a GameMod for ''Doom II'', made by Xaser and the [=TcA=] Masters, and requires [=ZDoom=] to run.

The mod is a different approach to the world of ''Doom''[='=]s gameplay, taking an arcade-like style. Instead of being confined to a certain set of maps in a single order, [=TcA=] allows the player to select his own path through each of the levels. Along with this, most maps served up a different style of gameplay. While some maps are pure shoot-em-up, others include puzzles, insane stylish moves, and so on. The mod runs on the RuleOfFunny, with a few beta testers reported as almost dying from laughter. And on top of all this, the core aspect of the gameplay has been changed thanks to the inclusion of a 2x speed patch. Everything now runs at twice the speed; monsters, weapons, etc.

!!''[=TurboCharged=] ARCADE!'' provides examples of the following tropes:

* AllJustADream: [[spoiler:"Merry Shitmas". The player still dies though.]]
* ArtifactOfDoom: "Museum Raider" involves the player sneaking into a museum to steal a cursed, priceless 24-carrot diamond that brings bad luck to anyone who holds it. Apparently, it took 5 museum curators to seal it in its vault as they were all rapidly crushed by [[AnvilOnHead randomly falling anvils]]. [[spoiler:Sure enough, he becomes one of the diamond's victims, being crushed by an elephant.]]
-->''Jack was too slow. Jack had bad luck. Jack shoulda jumped out the way of that pastry truck! [[spoiler:Or elephant.]] Whatever.''
* AnAsskickingChristmas: "Merry Shitmas", where you fight Santa and the leprechauns.
%%* BlackComedy
* BulletTime: Naturally in "The Matrix Has You." It triggers when certain doors are opened. [[spoiler:and stops when a certain EasterEgg is triggered.]]
%%* ButThouMust
* ByNoIMeanYes: The narrator at the start of "The Matrix Has You" says things like "Make yourself at home, but get the hell outta here" and "Hurry up but take your time."
* CatchPhrase: Hitler's "I dare you to FUCKIN' TRY BITCH!" with the last 3 words always blinking in and out.
* CreatorCameo: Xaser makes a cameo in "Blocks of Doooom!", complaining that Jimmy stole his idea.
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: "It's time for killing time!"
* DevelopersForesight: "I'm Hitler" has a part where you fight Hitler in a wide open space... with two corridors that easily lead around the battlefield to the doors needed to advance. Of course if you try to take them during or before the battle, Hitler will be very aware.
-->'''Hitler:''' Haha, no free rides, no shortcuts!
* EasterEgg:
** There's a big one in "Ask The Wise Guy" where instead of heading up the stairs to meet said Wise Guy, you can make a series of tough jumps and find a cave where Kate, one of the WAD's designers, resides and can have an adventure game-style conversation with you. Afterward you can enter the portal behind her and even get an alternate ending! And one where the player DOESN'T die for once! [[spoiler:You telefrag the Wise Guy who forgot to turn off the portal.]] Oh, and if you step into the portal before talking to Kate, you die. Didn't your mother tell you not to go into strange portals?
** One can make a complicated sequence of jumps in "The Matrix Has You" during the second BulletTime segment. If the player lands on a giant WTF placed on a rooftop, time will go back to normal, and the player can find an image of a catgirl labelled Not [[Webcomic/VGCats Aeris]] (No, not that [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII THAT one.]]) as well as two keys, a +1 key of uselessness that takes you to the boss fight and a -1 key of Wrong Turn which kills you.
** In "Merry Shitmas", the player's opening line is randomised. Furthermore there's a door in the player's kitchen that the game repeatedly tells you has nothing of use behind it. Keep clicking on it though and eventually it opens...revealing a bunch of useful goodies.
* EpicFail: [[spoiler:The player in "Go To Hell!" falls into a lava pit, and subsequently wins the Moron of the Month Award.]]
-->''You fucktard, didn't your mom ever tell you not to jump into giant lava pits?''
* FailureIsTheOnlyOption: [[spoiler:The player dies EVERY TIME he finishes a level. And comes back from the dead. And vice versa, like a cycle.]] Discussed in "Ask The Wise Guy" where the Doomguy is seeking the title wise guy and asks if there's a way out of his endless cycle. [[CruelTwistEnding Said Wise Guy says no and kills him]]. [[spoiler:And subverted in the very same episode's Easter Egg, where you telefrag the wise guy and reign supreme.]]
* GroinAttack: Losing a ball in "Balls of Steel" is treated the same way as losing an actual testicle.
-->(when losing your first or second ball) ''Ack! You lost a ball! That's got to be painful!''\
(One ball left) ''You're feeling a little castrated! Only one ball left!!''\
(When all balls are gone) ''Sorry, mate. You're out of balls. Eunuchs aren't allowed around these parts.''
* HaveANiceDeath: If the player falls into a lava pit in "I'm Hitler", the Fuhrer has this to say:
-->'''Hitler:''' Yum yum, fried Jew sandwich for lunch with extra mayonnaise and toothpaste!
%%* HilarityEnsues
* IntentionalEngrishForFunny: "U R TEH FAIL TEH IT"
* LazyArtist: Due to budget cuts, both [[Franchise/TheMatrix the Oracle and the Agent]] appear as Former Sargeants.
%%* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: "Meet the Wise Guy".
* LuckBasedMission: One puzzle in "Museum Raider" is based off of the MontyHallProblem.
%%* LudicrousGibs
* MadeOfExplodium: Lampshaded with the buildings in "Blatant Demolitionism".
* MontyHallProblem: Shows up in "Museum Raider". Behind one door is a guy with a passcode you need, and behind the others are rabid Barons of Hell.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: Oh ''yes''. From sneaking into a museum to avoiding prison rape to investigating a murder mystery.
%%* NiceJobBreakingItHero
* NintendoHard: "Meet the Wise Guy". Good luck reaching the end of the level without cheating and falling into the endless chasms repeatedly.
* OurLawyersAdvisedThisTrope: A disclaimer appears in the end of "Blatant Demolitionism" (Which also counts as DoNotDoThisCoolThing) and "Merry Shitmas". Both of them are PlayedForLaughs, of course.
-->'''Blatant Demolitionism Disclaimer:''' Note that we at the Masters of Insanity do not endorse blowing up or jumping out of buildings... or [[MadeOfExplodium explosive materials]]. But we will not stop you from doing so, [[CrossingTheLineTwice because it will be very, very funny]].\
'''Merry Shitmas Disclaimer:''' Please, think of the leprechauns.
%%* RefugeInAudacity:
%%** "Congestion 1337".
%%** "Merry Shitmas".
* RuleOfFunny: Did you read the description?
* SchmuckBait: The door in the player's kitchen in "Merry Shitmas". The game repeatedly tells you to stop clicking it as there's nothing behind it, until finally it has enough and opens it with a flourish... [[SubvertedTrope revealing a bunch of useful items, goodies and the like.]] The game, embarrassed, tells the player not to speak of it again.
%%* ASpaceMarineIsYou
* StylisticSuck: [[spoiler:The George W. Bush painting in "You are Pablo Picasso".]]
* TemporalParadox: [[spoiler:[[CreatorCameo Xaser]] gets KilledOffForReal in "Blocks of Doooom!", causing a time paradox. He and Jimmy designed the level.]]
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: [[spoiler:The George W. Bush painting eats the player at the end of "You are Pablo Picasso".]]
* UnholyMatrimony: A literal example, with barons of hell as the bride and the groom and demons[=/=]zombies in attendance, etc. It's even there on the title!
* YouBastard: The player gets bashed anytime a building explodes in "Blatant Demolitionism".
