''Tails' Nightmare'' is a series of fanmade Flash Games made by [=TheBlox=]. It stars [[Characters/SonicTheHedgehogTeamSonic Miles "Tails" Prower]] from ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'', who is plunged into a nightmare by the [[VideoGame/SonicR Tails Doll]].

There are two games in the series. The first takes place in a creepy wasteland, and the second takes place in an underground cavern with acid pools. There ''was'' a planned third game with even a demo released, but it was cancelled permanently, with no signs of continuing it by the creator.
----
!!The ''Tails' Nightmare'' series contains examples of:
%%* AcidPool: A frequent hazard in the sequel.
%%* AllJustADream: If not obvious from the title.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: In the second game, all difficulties above easy have the Tails Doll go into the background and enlarge himself, completely dwarfing Tails, as his final phase.
%%* BackgroundBoss: Tails Doll's final form in the sequel.
* BigBad: In all three games, the Tails Doll is the one who traps Tails in the nightmare.
* BigBoosHaunt: The entirety of the first game is set within a desolate wasteland with dead trees and red-colored vines.
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:The boss fight against Sonic.Exe ends with him surprising Tails with a lightning strike. Just as he's about to finish him off, a clone of Tails suddenly appears and knocks Exe into the lava.]]
* BlackoutBasement: Played with. During the second game, the player may choose to play the game with maximum darkness, or have no darkness at all.
* BossBattle: One in each game, both against the Tails Doll. [[spoiler:The demo for the third game also features a boss fight against Sonic.Exe.]]
%%* BossCorridor: The final room in the second game, which has plenty of rings for you to collect before the final showdown against the Tails Doll.
* BullfightBoss: One of Tails Doll's forms in the second game needs to be tricked into flying into spikes to hurt him.
* CatapultNightmare: Tails does just this at the end of the first game.
* GetBackHereBoss: Tails Doll's final form in the first game and first form in the sequel constantly teleports away from you, forcing you to hit him when he appears.
* GreenHillZone: The second game's tutorial takes place in the titular first level from the first ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog1'', right before Tails Doll [[JumpScare suddenly runs into you at the very end]], beginning the game proper.
* IndyEscape: The fourth area in the second game features a fleshy boulder that chases you.
%%* InvincibilityPowerup: Introduced in the sequel.
* JumpScare:
** In the first game, [[spoiler:after Tails beats Tails Doll, he runs over to the right, and then he suddenly catches him. Thankfully, it was AllJustADream]].
** A more subtle one happens right after the second game's tutorial level, where Tails Doll awaits Tails at the end and he catches him, with an abrupt cut to black and a scream before Tails starts to have his second nightmare.
* LethalLavaLand: The third game's demo is set in a volcanic mountain with molten lava. The fire shield is useful here for not being burned to death but treats the lava like water with an added drowning meter.
%%* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Tails Doll does this in the sequel for his final form.
%%* MultiStageBattle: Tails Doll in the second game has 4 stages. (3 on lower difficulties)
%%* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler:Tails Doll at the end of both games.]]
%%* OneWingedAngel: Tails Doll's final form in the sequel.
* OrWasItADream:
** [[spoiler:Tails wakes up from his nightmare only to have the Tails Doll rise up from behind his bed. Subverted when Tails immediately notices him and punches the doll away off screen.]]
** [[spoiler:Sonic finds Tails lying on the grass and they both run off. They fail to notice Tails Doll lying behind them.]]
* PromotedToPlayable: [[spoiler:Entering a secret password in the sequel allows you to play as the Tails Doll. Unfortunately, [[NoFairCheating you can't unlock the passwords when playing as him]].]]
%%* SpikesOfDoom: The main obstacle of the first game, and still prominent in the second game.
* SprintShoes: The speed shoes monitor appears in the sequel. Upon hitting the monitor containing it, Tails' shoes will change from his to Sonic's.
%%* TeleportSpam: Tails Doll does this in both games. In the first one, he creates a small explosion that can hurt you. [[GetBackHereBoss You need to hit him as soon as he appears near you.]]
* UndergroundLevel: The entirety of the second game is set within an underground corridor with acid pools.
%%* VictoryFakeout: Tails Doll does this in the sequel, and then [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever grows to giant size]]. However, this can only happen if you're playing on Normal difficulty and above.
