"Pumkin Land" (AKA: "Pumkin World") is an "[[EdutainmentGame educational]]" Flash game aimed at younger children. The game is based on a series of educational digital tools that teach children English language basics.[[note]]By this, we mean that it teaches kids the names of everyday things like clothes, colors, and food.[[/note]] These include games and cartoons featuring anthropomorphic pumpkins. (Or as they call them: [[InconsistentSpelling "Pumkins."]])

Not much is known about this game but it has been discovered by [[LetsPlay Lets Players]] and [[YouTubePoop Youtube Poopers]] alike and has gained a memetic status.

The most infamous parts of the site have been taken down, but are archived [[http://web.archive.org/web/20180113033510/http://2008.pumkin.com/index.php here.]] Due to Flash being shut down, you'll need a third-party player, which might not work properly.

An emulated version of the original game can also be played on [[https://www.numuki.com/game/pumkin-world/ NuMuKi.]] It's available in any browser and even playable on mobile devices.

[[folder:Pumkin Land is made up of the following minigames:]]
* Hungry Pumkin: A game that teaches types of food and drinks. This is the most well known and infamous part of the game. You play as a diner worker and you serve the customer whatever food he orders.
* Numbers: This game teaches numbers. You play as a pianist in a concert hall and you must hit piano eyes in succession according to their numbers in order to play a song.
* In-On-Over-Under: This game teaches the words; In, On, Over, and Under. You are in the living room of a house inhabited by an alligator who tells you to place several objects in, on, over, or under several places in the house. (Ex: "Put the pencil on the table.")
* The Fruits Game: ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin. This game teaches types of fruits. Also involves catching fruits that are falling from a tree.
* Barnyard Disco: This game teaches types of farm animals. You are at a "Barnyard Disco" and you must click on whatever animal the DJ calls out.
* Vegetables: This game teaches types of vegetables. A (presumably) blind rabbit wearing sunglasses asks you what vegetables are in the garden to eat. You are supposed to click on whatever vegetable he asks for.
* The Clothes Game: This game teaches types of clothing. A female Pumkin character is hanging laundry on a clothesline on a windy day. Meanwhile a talking crow will call out certain types of clothes and you must click on them, the wind then blows them off of the line.
* The Colors Game: This game teaches types of colors. Various multicolored Pumkin characters (without arms or legs but still have faces) fall out of the sky one by one. They will say aloud their respective colors when you click on them.

!!Give me the tropes:

* UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents: All of the Pumkins seem to have a Dixie accent.
* AnthropomorphicFood: The Pumkins.
* ArtificialStupidity: The rabbit in the vegetables game will sometimes ask for a vegetable that he just ate and is no longer in the garden, or for a vegetable that you just told him wasn't in the garden at all.
* BalloonBelly: A subtle version: Hungry Pumkin grows slightly larger with each item he eats. It might be hard to notice, until the end of the game, where, if he's big enough, [[FunnyBackgroundEvent he'll struggle to fit through the now-too-small door]].
* BerserkButton: Whenever you give the Hungry Pumkin the wrong order, [[DisproportionateRetribution he will swiftly slap the food off of the counter]].
--> "NO! I don't want that!"
* BigNo: "NO! I don't want that!"
* BigEater: The Pumkin you serve in the diner in "Hungry Pumkin" eats a lot of food in one sitting. There are 20 food items in the game, and if you get every request right, he'll eat all of them (which goes into ExtremeOmnivore territory, as some of these foods come in non-edible containers or are seasonings not meant to be eaten on their own, yet the Pumkin will swallow it all whole). If you get that perfect run, the Pumkin will also say that he's coming back in 10 minutes, which suggests that that's all the time it takes for him to be hungry to eat another 20-course meal.
* CreepyCrows: Downplayed with the crow in the Clothes game, who may not be evil, but is definitely a {{Jerkass}}.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Hungry Pumkin's animation for eating is to take the food's sprite image, put it into his mouth, and chew it. Some foods, such as the salt, water, and soda are depicted in non-edible containers or dishes, but the still use the same animation, leading to Pumkin eating things like glass and metal.
* FatBastard: Hungry Pumkin isn't exactly evil, but he's certainly a jerk and appropriately fat for a pumpkin.
* FurryConfusion: This game revolves around a race of anthropomorphic pumpkins that grow (and presumably eat) non-anthropomorphic vegetables. There are also several animal characters that are capable of talking (The alligator, the crow, and the rabbit.) and others do not (the Barnyard Disco animals). There are even bouncing pumpkins with faces, but no limbs in the color game.
* {{Irony}}: In spite of being an educational game, "pumpkin" is deliberately misspelled as "pumkin".
* JabbaTableManners: The hungry Pumkin. He devours his meals whole, doesn't care if they're liquids in a glass or in any kind of container, uses no cutlery and chews his food quite loudly.
* {{Jerkass}}: The Hungry Pumkin [[DisproportionateRetribution smacks the meal you give him off the counter if it's not what he wanted]] and leaves without paying.
* LargeHam: The game's voice acting is full of this. The Hungry Pumkin gained memetic status because of it.
* MachineMonotone: The female voice in the fruit and vegetable games.
* NeverSmileAtACrocodile: Averted by the female alligator in the In-On-Over-Under game, who tells the player what to do.
* NoNameGiven: The majority of the characters, although there are a few exceptions, such as Farmer Bumpkin.
* OneWordVocabulary: The Pumkins in the Colors game can only say the name of what color they are.
* PumpkinPerson: The titular Pumkins are {{Cephalothorax}} pumpkins.
* {{Schadenfreude}}: In the clothes game the crow will sometimes laugh when the clothes get blown away by the wind.
* ThatMakesMeFeelAngry: As Hungry Pumkin walks in he announces "I'm very hungry!"
* UngratefulBastard: Hungry Pumkin never pays for his meals.
* WalkingHead: All the Pumkins are pumpkins with arms, legs, and faces.
