''[=OviPets=]'' is a WebGame that's mostly accessed via Website/{{Facebook}}. It is a CreatureBreedingMechanic game that features over 25 species of pets that can be bred. The focus of the game is to breed successive generations of pets with more and different mutations.

It is a free-to-play game but does have a pay feature that gives added perks.

!!This game provides examples of:
* AllegedlyFreeGame: Downplayed. It's free to play and most features are readily available, but one has to buy credits with real money at least once in order to gain access to some extra features such as various genes and gender splicing, sending credits to others (placed as a countermeasure against funneling start-up credits from multiple accounts), and researching species that the player doesn't currently own as well as top tier of research for each species.
* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: Pets can come in any color possible on the RGB color wheel via generation or breeding - there are even some colors which will give the pet a little badge should it bear one of them (such as pure colors and gemstone colors).
* AnimalFacialHair: The Lepus have a mutation that looks like a mustache.
* AprilFoolsDay: There are special mutations for April Fools.
** Catus, Equus, Lotor, Macropus, Porcus, Taurus and Vulpes get mutations that give them missing body parts.
** Gallus, Lupus, Rattus and Serpentes get glitch-themed mutations.
* ArtEvolution: Some newer species look much more neat and have a more consistent style compared to species like the Feline.
* AsianFoxSpirit: Both the Lupus and Vulpes have kitsune-esque mutations.
* BunniesForCuteness: Lepus are a species based on bunnies.
* CallARabbitASmeerp: All the species have fancy latinesque species names.
* CheapGoldCoins: Despite the ability to purchase credits with real world money, it is incredibly easy to accumulate them by turning other players' eggs.
* {{Cooldown}}: All species have a short cooldown time before they can breed again. However, this only applies to the females.
* CoolHorse: You can breed horses with frozen, mist or flaming manes and tails, plus horses with dragon mutations.
* ConcealedCustomization: It's possible to use tattoos to hide colors on a pet.
* CrazyCatLady: You can easily become one, and you'll see many players with pages upon pages of pets. There's no limit to how many pets one can have.
* CreatureBreedingMechanic: The game's central focus is breeding various animals to achieve different colorations and mutations.
* CuteSlimeMook: One of the available species of pets are Slimes, which are simple blob-like creatures (although mutations can make their appearances more complex).
* ADogNamedDog: It is extremely common to find pets for adoption named after their species.
* {{Emoticon}}: Typing <3 will turn into a heart. Typing :) will turn into a smiley face.
* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: The Lupus can have a rainbow paintbrush tail. The Equus also has certain exclusive mutations that give them rainbows on their bodies.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: [=OviPets=] quite literally means "Egg Pets".
* FriendlyPlayfulDolphin: The Cetacea, which look just like dolphins. Unless they receive [[ThreateningShark shark mutations]].
* GemEncrusted: The Catus, Equus, and Slime can have gemstone eyes.
** The "Jewel" mutation gives Rattus a jewel on their forehead.
* GlowingEyes: A possible mutation for the Draconis and Vulpes.
** Additionally, the Hyaena mutation "Archangel Eyes" and the Serpentes mutation "Polar Light Eyes" also give the pet glowing eyes.
* HellishHorse: Possible with several of the Equus mutations.
* LastOfHisKind: Ovi, the only remaining member of the Ovus species, the game’s beta period species. Sadly he’s been sterilized, meaning that even if a female is found, he can’t breed.
* TheMarvelousDeer: Rangifers, especially if they have the mutations that give full neck fur and various types of antlers.
* {{Microtransactions}}: Users can purchase credits.
* MixAndMatchCritters: The mutations allow this. You can have a lizard that looks entirely like a platypus, an eagle with butterfly wings, a chicken with pigeon mutations, a dolphin that looks like either a shark or a seahorse, or a wolf with a cat head and tail to name a few.
* MoneySink: Projects take a LOT of credits, especially since you have to account for gender fails.
* NobleWolf: The Lupus are based on wolves and are also gentle and caring according to their description.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Unlike most other species which are based on real-world animals, Draconis and Loong are based on dragons.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: Some species can have fairy wings as a mutation.
* OurGryphonsAreDifferent: Unlike most other species which are based on real-world animals, Gryphus are based on griffins.
* PantheraAwesome: The Feline species, which is based on big cats and can also receive mutations from the same (such as a saber-tooth cat head).
* {{Pegasus}}: There are mutations that give Equus wings.
** The Ovis species, which is based on sheep, can have wing mutations as well as [[MixAndMatchCritters pony mutations]], so an Ovis with wings and pony mutations would technically also fall into this category.
* ThePhoenix: There are phoenix mutations for the Avi.
* {{Phonymon}}: The Bloom Ears mutation for the Ericius is very reminiscent of Shaymin.
** There are certain projects involving pets that were intentionally made to resemble Pokémon.
* {{Planimal}}: Many species have mutations that invoke this trope.
* PlayerGeneratedEconomy: Much of the game's economy is done through the buying and selling of rare pets.
* PlayEveryDay: Logging in every day gets you a credit bonus at the end of the week.
* RaptorAttack: The Raptor species, which is based on predatory dinosaurs.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: So. Many.
* TemporaryOnlineContent: There are several time limited species and mutations.
* {{Unicorn}}: The Equus can have a horn.
* UnlockableContent: Owning a species unlocks the ability to research that species. And researching that species unlocks the ability to generate that species.
* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: Pets belonging to players that don't have Ovi+ subscription can starve and die. Some players intentionally let pets die when unwanted or if they don’t want to care for them but want the option to revive them for use later on.
* WhaleEgg: All of the pets hatch from eggs, even the mammals.
* WingedUnicorn: Possible with the wings and unicorn horn mutations on Equus.
