5''Let's Go Island: Lost In the Island of Tropics'' is a Creator/{{Sega}} light gun sequel game to the 2009 game, ''[[VideoGame/LetsGoJungle Let's Go Jungle: Lost on the Island of Spice]]''.

7The game follows the story of Beth and her bumbling tour guide, Zack. While out on a boat tour around the island, pirates being chased by sharks crash into their boat and try to commandeer it. The two are thrown overboard and wash ashore on a tropical island, where the local wildlife has gone crazy. Beth and Zack must work together if they hope to escape the island.

9The game follows many of the same conventions as the original games, mixing arcade shooting with PressXToNotDie segments with a few control tweaks. It is also notable for being the first 3D motion ride arcade produced by Sega. Even the 3D system used by the game is impressive, it used a 55" autostereoscopic display (basically, a scaled-up version of the UsefulNotes/Nintendo3DS' lenticular LCD display), meaning unlike other 3D arcade attractions, no glasses are required to enjoy the 3D in this game.

14* AsteroidsMonster: At a few points of the third level, there's a large pink jellyfish. Shooting that up causes it to split into a few smaller jellyfish. Shooting up the last one of those causes them to split into many tiny pink jellyfish. Leave them alone for too long, and they will also split up.

23* CatchPhrase: Generally used to signal a change in gameplay. Beth yells "do something about it!" at the start of a shooting section, whereas Zack yells "what's coming after us this time?" to signal the continuation of a boss battle.

26* DirtyCoward: The fat modern pirate that gives the duo orders. He screams orders in a threatening tone, but always runs away when enemies come at Beth and Zack.
27* EldritchAbomination: The final boss is an octopus mutated by the chemicals from the first game... which is the first boss coming back for a rematch. The true final boss is a plant creature in the vein of the plant boss from Jungle: a coral reef mutated by the chemicals.
28* EverythingTryingToKillYou: Several things you fight aren't normally supposed to be lethal, such as starfish, sea cucumbers, and lots of other wildlife.
29* FamilyFriendlyFirearms: Inverted. The Japanese version had the player characters wield super soakers. The American and European version has them wielding proper rifles.
30* GiantEnemyCrab: One of the routes has you face several human-sized crabs.
31* GoldenSnitch: Like the previous game, the ending depends on whether you succeed or fail the final quick time event.

46* RecurringBoss: As with the giant spider from the first game, this one has a giant octopus. Fridge Brilliance for the fact that both of them have eight legs.
47* RuthlessModernPirates: Discussed. Beth asks if the pirates they're trying to get away from in the first stage are anything like the ones in fiction. They're not.
48* ScratchDamage: If you keep shooting the first boss in the face between its attacks, you will actually hurt it a bit, although way less than if you shoot the targets. Do so consistently and you might skip one of its attacks or two.
49* SinisterStingrays: You will face a trio of them in the last stage, and they are tougher and more rare than every other normal monster, as their only encounter has only their soft undersides being vulnerable, and you have to shoot their tough backs to make them temporarily expose their weak points.
50* SuperNotDrowningSkills: The duo can hold their breath underwater for at least three minutes, whilst firing guns and talking.
51* ThreateningShark: Sharks are the main enemy in the first and last stages.
52* TropicalIslandAdventure: As the name of the game suggests, it takes place on a tropical island.
