%%Let's set some ground rules for consistency, shall we?
%%
%%English names for everything, except to note name changes in the character entries (and in cases where we don't have English names yet).
%%Shorthand for the second game should be capitalized as mk2, not [=Mk2=] or mk-2. For the third game, use Victory, not V, since the English name has been confirmed to use the former, and the Japanese title has both.
%%Do not call mk2 a sequel, except where it's the name of a trope. mk2 is a continuity reboot, and therefore not a sequel to anything.

->"I blame... the designers... for not making me the lead."
-->-- Neptune, after Noire defeats her, Blanc, and Vert.

The second spin-off game in the VideoGame/Neptunia series, Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart (Chō Megami Shinkō Noire Geki-Shin Black Heart) is a game for the Platform/PlayStationVita focused on Noire. Noire was chosen because she won a poll in 2011 to determine a spin-off protagonist. This time, it's a StrategyRPG developed by Creator/StingEntertainment (best known for its VideoGame/DeptHeaven series, and who previously collaborated with IF on Generation of Chaos 6 in 2012).

In the AlternateContinuity of Gamarket, Noire is a few steps shy of unifying the whole world under her banner. But things suddenly go wrong when strike:Arfoire Eno tricks Noire into making her shares' energy dissipate. Suddenly, all of her subordinates, the generals, have broken ties with the [=CPUs=] and are fighting amongst themselves.

As she starts setting things right, she learns that many of her generals were never her friends like she thought they were, but rather saw things as having begrudgingly become her pawns. In response to this, Noire gets a second objective: be friends with her generals for real this time.

The game was released for the Platform/PlaystationVita on May 29, 2014, in Japan, in North America and Europe by Idea Factory International in February 2015, with a Steam release on April 26, 2016.
----
!!These tropes only do everything:
* ADayInTheLimelight: This game features Noire as the Main Character (and the player as a SupportingProtagonist). Lampshaded by Neptune, who is less than amused to be dethroned from the protagonist spot.
* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: When deciding on a leader, Neptune, Blanc, and Vert all team up to take out Noire first. Noire soundly beats them, however, and they reluctantly accept her as their leader.
* BaitAndSwitchComment: Saori's "Waiting under the Legend Tree" special move. It starts as a typical LoveConfession scene, she's even all embarrassed, then she switches it at the last moment.
--> Saori: I dislike you more than anyone! I! HATE! YOUR! GUTS!
* BribingYourWayToVictory: The DLC items are stronger than anything you can forge and go to your inventory as soon as you download them. Tiara may also apply because she's essentially a 5th CPU that comes with her ultimate weapon equipped.
* DamageSpongeBoss: Arfoire, as the final boss of the game. You may find yourself staring down a boss with 9999 HP and dealing 1 damage per hit while she gets two moves per turn and kills anyone in the general vicinity.
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: It's Noire's game, so it makes perfect sense for her voice actress to sing the game's opening theme.
* DownloadableContent: 4 playable characters including 3 Makers (IF, Compa and Sting) as well as Tiarawho indirectly serves as a general representing Fairy Fancer F as well as a pseudo-CPU in gameplay due to retaining her Fairize form. There are also several weapons and equipment for the download characters.
* FormulaBreakingEpisode: Noire and the GenreShift aside the setting is called "Gamarket" instead of "Gameindustri" and the Makers (personifications of companies) are replaced by generals (personifications of game franchises)
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Any battle that has the [=CPUs=] transforming during the cutscene before the battle allows her to maintain HDD for the entire battle, instead of only three turns, and even if she falls.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: A blatant case after Noire helps Estelle in a mission where she has to kill more monsters than Ein Al. Even though you must kill more monsters than Ein to complete the mission, the post-mission cutscene states that Ein killed more monsters than Estelle and Noire, with no further explanation than Noire's party was uncoordinated.
* HypocriticalHumor: While sneaking around Lid's city, Noire yells at Neptune to keep her voice down.
** The game itself pulls one when Noire says the idea of "other dimensions" is ludicrous. When that's all the series has been showing off since the second game, and this game itself takes place in an alternate dimension.
%%* IdiotBall: Almost all of the cast touches it. Gets more prominent in Chapter 5, where several generals leave.
* InconsistentDub:
** The goddesses sometimes use their normal voices in the dub track, which is especially jarring for Neptune. Where this mistake happens, they're also not referred to as [Colour] Heart and just their normal name in the text boxes. This is not an issue on the Japanese voice track.
** A minor one happens with Warechu's name. In NIS America's localizations of [=Mk2=] and Victory, he was renamed "Pirachu". When the English localization rights for the series were handed over to Creator/IdeaFactoryInternational as of Re;Birth 1, his name was reverted with the release of Re;Birth 2. However, this game still uses his [=NISA=]-given name.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: In addition to the [=CPUs=], the Generals are based on video game franchises such as Franchise/FinalFantasy, VideoGame/DragonQuest, VideoGame/MetalGear, Videogame/TheIdolmaster, VideoGame/InazumaEleven, VideoGame/AgarestSenki, and (Ms?) VideoGame/PacMan among others
* MoreFriendsMoreBenefits: Farming Lily Boosts goes faster if you have multiple characters kiss the active one, which in turn powers HDD and SP Moves. Finally, the platinum trophy requires you to max all characters' Lily Ranks with all other characters.
%%zce* MsImagination: Ein Al is this. Noire catches it too when hanging out with her.
* MythologyGag: Pirachu/Warechu shows up at one point as a Chirper shout. Besides stating "Compa isn't in the game", he then states he isn't a bad mouse.
* NoFourthWall: Neptune and several [=NPCs=] refer to how Neptune isn't the protagonist this time. One NPC even wonders if Noire's character can pull the story on her own.
* NotAsYouKnowThem: Anyone who joined the series with the Re;Birth games will find the [=CPUs=] to be Flanderization exaggerated compared to their portrayal there, and some of their jabs at each other to be downright mean-spirited. This is due to the game using the personalities of the original Ultradimension goddesses from Victory, who were divisively harsh before the remakes gave them their more approachable personas.
* OutOfFocus: The game is very much Noire's time to shine, and with her Secretary there to trade exposition with, the other [=CPUs=] have been bumped down to supporting cast members. Receives a massive and hilarious lampshading when Vert and Blanc suddenly realize that since Neptune isn't the main character they don't have to put up with her antics anymore, and start ignoring her completely.
* SelfInsertFic: You as Noire's secretary. His name is even noted as "Player" before becoming Noire's secretary, where he switches to Secretary for the rest of the game.
* ShoutOut: This series has its own page.
* SkinshipGrope: Moru does this in her scene with Noire, while implied to be quite inebriated.
* StrappedToAnOperatingTable: Happens to Noire in a cutscene, courtesy of Generia G wanting to turn her into a giant mech "Super CPU."
* SuperDeformed: All models are in a chibi art style.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: The [=CPUs=] are not happy about having to work together, but given the circumstances have little other choices.
* WardrobeMalfunction: Happens to Ai in her specific scene, when she's tussling with Noire. It looks like Ai has the upper hand, but then her bikini top falls off.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: This is the first entry in the series to have the CPU Candidates completely absent since their introduction. It's justified as this is an AlternateContinuity (and one based on Victory, which didn't have those characters as natives to the Ultreadimension) and not obligated to have these characters.
