''Acorn Story'' is a PlatformGame made in UsefulNotes/AdobeFlash by George Kobyakov, and [[https://www.kongregate.com/games/geovizz/acorn-story released online]] on August 17th, 2012. There, you play as a small boy, who has set out on a quest to recover his magical acorn. You navigate seven levels through a strange forest, only able to move left or right. The space bar is used to perform actions, such as jumping or pushing objects.

!!This work contains examples of:
* AbandonedMine: You travel through one of these in the later parts of the game.
* AllIsWellThatEndsWell: [[spoiler:The boy is no worse off for his adventure, having reclaimed his acorn and returned home safely.]]
%%* ChirpingCrickets: The background ambiance.
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: The game's graphics, which are more of a sepia- and brown-toned variety.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:After much searching, through rain, darkness, and forest, the child finds his acorn and takes it home.]]
* GlowingFlora: Some of the trees and plants have glowing tips. Those tips, and your lantern, are the only light sources you have.
* GrayRainOfDepression: At the end of your minecart ride, you end up in a gray area of the forest, where it is raining.
%%* KidHero
* LonelyPianoPiece: The game's soundtrack, accompanied by ChirpingCrickets.
* TheLostWoods: The forest the game takes place in may be this.
%%* McGuffin: The Acorn, of course.
* MinecartMadness: You need to ride a minecart to reach the next area of the game.
* NoAntagonist: There are no true bosses or enemies in the game, just you and the many traps in the forest.
* RealIsBrown: The scenery is sepia-toned.
* SilenceIsGolden: The only text at all is the deliberately sparse intro, as shown above. The plot is very simple, and said intro and some well-placed imagery is all it really needs to express itself.
