"Santa Fe", known as The City Different, is the capital city and county in UsefulNotes/NewMexico. Officially the City of Santa Fe, within Santa Fe County. The city is known for its unique architecture, preferring low-lying "Santa Fe" style adobe structures. There are no skyscrapers in the city, in fact, the city has ordinances against it.

As the capital of the state of New Mexico, Santa Fe's culture and cuisine are extremely reflective of both local New Mexican traditions such as New Mexican cuisine and New Mexico music, it also has a wide degree of international influence with multicultural restaurants and music.

The city still centers around its plaza, which was near the location of the city's 1610 town founding as "La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asís". Several artists and creatives have called Santa Fe home, including; Georgia O'Keeffe, D. H. Lawrence, Creator/GeorgeRRMartin, and (late in his career and after retirement) Creator/GeneHackman. The city has long been considered one of the world's art cities and, as such, it has numerous art galleries. Including several local and international classic, modern, contemporary, and traditional art museums and galleries, as well as the Creator/ChuckJones Animation Gallery, and Creator/MeowWolf's "House of Eternal Return", an interactive art museum/themed attraction that was partially funded by George R.R. Martin.

When taken as a part of the UsefulNotes/{{Albuquerque}} - Santa Fe - Las Vegas Combined Statistical Area it also encompasses Bernalillo, Cibola, Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, Torrance, and Valencia counties.
