* BadExportForYou:
** Even though the French version conveys Stackpole's BeigeProse like a charm, comparing the original and French versions of Allston's books reveals that half the humor took a walk out the airlock during the translation process. Even jokes that were easily translatable were either cut or mangled, resulting in some weird situations. Similarly, some dialogue was significantly shortened, making them sound bland when Allston's originals were excellent.
** The French versions lists the wrong author on ''Wraith Squadron'' and features the wrong cover on ''Iron Fist''. [[CoversAlwaysLie People might wonder why Luke, Leia, C-3PO and R2D2 are featured on the cover of a book that features none of them.]]
* LifeImitatesArt:
** The New Republic's invasion of the Ciutric Hegemony in ''Isard's Revenge'' has a number of strange similarities to the US invasion of Iraq four years later. The Republic invades a villainous but technically neutral state to depose a dictator largely for political reasons, spurred on by faked evidence of a bogus enemy superweapon.
** Due to Corellia being under Imperial control at the time "The Bacta War" took place, Corellian exiles who died away from home were often cremated and gravity wave generators compressed the ashes into synthetic diamonds which were embedded in the walls of the sanctuary.[[note]] Unfortunately in the ''Literature/LegacyOfTheForce'' novel series Galactic Alliance [[FaceHeelTurn supporters]] desecrate the sanctuary and steal the diamonds of many Correlians interred there.[[/note]] In an example of ScienceMarchesOn, real life methods of creating diamonds from cremated ashes have been developed.[[https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a45048171/ashes-to-diamonds]].
* MarthDebutedInSmashBros: This can sometimes happen due to ''Franchise/StarWarsLegends'' not coming out in chronological order. The "ugly" kitbashed starfighters first appeared in Literature/TheCorellianTrilogy. The X-wing "snoopscoot" first appeared in the Literature/BlackFleetCrisis Trilogy.
* SequelGap: ''Mercy Kill'' came out thirteen years after what previously seemed like the series finale.
