* ActingForTwo: Creator/SumireMorohoshi voiced Ann Magnolia in the Anime adaptation, then returned to voice her future granddaughter Daisy Magnolia in the 2020 movie.
* NoExportForYou: The light novels. Like all of Kyoto Animation's works published by their in-house imprint, the source material has not gotten any licenses for foreign release. An English FanTranslation completed the four main story volumes as of June 10, 2021, and all remaining sidestories were completed by April 2022.
** The Japanese theatrical release of ''Eternity and the Auto-Memory Doll'' issued 4 booklets that serve as epilogues to several of the side characters' stories from the main series (Ann Magnolia, Leon Stephanotis, Princess Charlotte, and Isabella York), with a 5th booklet packaged with the home BD/DVD release (also covering Isabella a.k.a. Amy Bartlett). Apart from the last one (which was translated as a part of the British limited collector's edition BD set), none of these have been exported, and even Japanese fans will have a hard time finding them due to their limited release.
** The Japanese theatrical release of the 2020 movie also gave out 3 additional short stories at random to moviegoers titled "Oscar's Little Angel," "Benedict Blue's Violet" (covering Benedict and Violet's first meeting from his perspective), and "Violet Evergarden: If," a WhatIf alternate universe story where Violet was never named "Violet" nor adopted by the Evergarden family, and has a closer relationship with Dietfried Bougainvillea instead of Gilbert. Yet another short story began getting distributed to moviegoers as of October 2, 2020 called "Gilbert Bougainvillea's Fleeting Dream."
** All of the above 9 sidestories were eventually collected in a [[LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition special limited order light novel volume]] called "Last Letter" for order in early 2022, along with two new extra sidestories: "Dietfried Bougainvillea IF" and "The Starry Night and the Lonely Two." However, it was a very limited run and is no longer available for order.
* TheOtherDarrin: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Nycolle González stepped in to voice Violet in the ''Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll'' side-story, due to Violet's original voice actress, Andrea Arruti, dying of pneumonia.[[note]]Interestingly enough, this is not the first time Gonzalez has voiced Violet, as she voiced her in episode 10 in a brief loop.[[/note]]
* ReleaseDateChange: As stated in the main page, an upcoming anime film was initially scheduled for a January 2020 premiere, but was then moved to April 24, 2020, on account of the July 18, 2019 fire at [=KyoAni=]'s 1st Studio building. Unfortunately, it then had the bad luck of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq-eXLJ3z4Y being postponed again]] during the rise of the [[UsefulNotes/CoronavirusDisease2019Pandemic the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic]]. The film finally saw its Japanese theatrical release on September 18, 2020.
** The said film's Blu-ray release was initially scheduled for August 4, 2021, but an announcement on June 11 said it had been delayed to October 13, 2021 due to manufacturing and distribution difficulties.
