Go To

* ActingForTwo: Takehisa Hirose voices an [[Series/UltrasevenX Alien Makindo]] in ep 1 and the blue Ultraman Firis on the following voice drama.
* BadExportForYou: As with Ultraman R/B, Tsuburaya choose to market the series in the mainland China and Thailand due to their large numbers of consumer there while still ignoring viewers in the Pacific area.
** This is the only mainline Ultraman show with no official english subtitles with the other shows either being on streaming services, released on Blu-ray/DVD or subbed on Tsuburaya youtube channel. Currently watching it unsubbed on Tsuburaya youtube channel or fansubs are the only options.
* CastTheRunnerUp: In a repeat of Takaya Aoyagi's situation in ''Series/UltramanOrb'', Kou Nanase who played Kirisaki / Ultraman Tregear originally auditioned for the lead role of Hiroyuki Kudo / Ultraman Taiga. He was asked to put on a "cold" face during audition, and its decided he works better as a villain.
* TheCastShowoff: The reason why Alien Zelan Oshoro has tap-dancing as his CharacterTic is because his actor, Kubota Taketo, is skilled in tap-dancing.
* DescendedCreator: The Garmes-Man in Episode 25 that saved a protester from falling debris is voiced by Ryuichi Ichino, the director of the series. He mentioned in a [[https://twitter.com/mondoroccia55/status/1208358839709384704 Twitter post]] that this was done because they were short on voice actors.
* MilestoneCelebration: It celebrated the 10th anniversary of ''Film/MegaMonsterBattleUltraGalaxyLegends'' and 40th anniversary of ''Anime/TheUltraman'' anime (animated by Creator/{{Sunrise}}). The new character Ultraman Titas hailing from Planet U40, the same home planet of Ultraman Joneus, is a nod towards the latter.
* TheOtherMarty: Pirika's actress, Momoka was replaced with Ayuri Yoshinaga starting from June 7, 2019 due to scheduling conflict on Momoka's part. This unfortunately caused a lot of real life problems, and among them is the cancellation of what supposedly an annual press conference of the Ultraman show (which they usually did in the middle of June, specifically in the Tokyo Dome City's annual toy convention).
* PopCultureUrbanLegends: One prevalent rumor in the middle of the series' run is that the villain, Ultraman Tregear, who seems to have a bit of history with Taiga's father Ultraman Taro, was supposedly none other than Taro's apprentice Series/UltramanMebius (!!!), disillusioned with Taro's teachings and turning to the dark side. It turns out to be a hoax from a (admittedly rather clickbait-y) [=YouTube=] video, and the theory is further disproven later in ''Series/UltraGalaxyFightTheAbsoluteConspiracy'' when Mebius appears alongside Tregear. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VthVfLK99rk Doesn't stop YouTube from making memes based on the theory though]].
* PropRecycling:
** Averted. Many fans believed at first glance that [[Series/UltraQ Pagos]] in episode 11 was a modified Kaiju suit, until WordOfGod surprises them with revealing that it's a newly built suit, as is the case with Neronga from ''Series/UltramanRB''.
** Woola was made by heavily modifying the Ururu suit from the 2017 ''[[Series/TsuburayaDinosaurTrilogy Dinosaur War Izenborg]]'' special ''Return of Izenborg''.
** Majappa was made by modifying the Maga-Jappa suit by removing the "Maga" elements.
** Averted for Night Fang and Gorothunder, as both of them were originally supposed to be modified [[Series/UltramanGeed Belial Fusion Beast]] suits, the former from Chimeraberus and the latter from Pedanium Zetton, but they ended up being newly-built suits instead.
* ReleaseDateChange: ''Ultraman Taiga the Movie'' is one of many films that [[UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic a certain coronavirus]] caused to change its release date. In this case, the film was postponed from its intended March 6th, 2020 release date before moving to August 7th of the same year.
* RoleReprise: The Alien Perolynga in both human disguise and alien form, in this series is portrayed by the same child actor that portrayed its human disguise all the way back in ''Series/{{Ultraseven}}'', 52 years after his role.
* TroubledProduction: TWICE! In May 2019, Pirika's actress was changed midway in filming, forcing the crew to re-shoot several scenes. And in March 2020, the Ultraman Taiga movie was postponed due to the 2020 global coronavirus pandemic.
