Context Trivia / TheJonasBrothers

Go To

* ActingForTwo: The video for "Paranoid". Technically, they are all playing themselves, but Kevin plays a dozen or so copies of himself, and they all actually bump into themselves in a hallway. (ItMakesSenseInContext, sort of. [[MindScrew Maybe]].)
* ApprovalOfGod: [[https://www.popbuzz.com/music/news/busted-interview-night-driver/ Though James Bourne has said he didn't care for the changed lyrics in their version of Busted's "Year 3000", which is understandable since not a lot of the changed lyrics are that good, he's said that their cover lead to some really good things, like the fact that it lead to their original version being used in]] ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''. Though Charlie Simpson wasn't quoted on the matter, Matt Willis said he didn't mind their cover, since it [[MoneyDearBoy paid off his mortgage for several years]] and he thanked them for getting the song popular overseas. The fact that they happily performed the song with them live at the Capital Summertime Ball in June 2019 clearly shows there's no animosity between the 2 bands. As Nick pointed out in a 2019 radio interview with Big Top 40, James had to approve them doing the cover in the first place, so if he didn't want anyone covering the song, he had the opportunity to stop them before they did so. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwdAk5Mmoco In James' video upload of his song 'Everyone Is My Friend,']] he even shows a picture of all of them together back in 2006 when they recorded their 2 Busted covers, showing he might've assisted in the covers. In 2023, the Jonas Brothers were also invited to [[https://youtu.be/xaagmebtR2M?si=rhLGXr07rqaOfR09 guest on the Guest Features version of 'Year 3000 2.0' for Busted's 20th anniversary rerecorded Greatest Hits album]] as well with Nick getting a good amount of the spotlight, showing there's no animosity between the bands over it.
* CareerResurrection: The Jonas Brothers had a massive drop in popularity in the 2010s. In 2019, the band made a surprise comeback when their single "Sucker" topped the Hot 100.
* CashCowFranchise: One of Disney's biggest money-makers in the late 2000s.
* CreativeDifferences: Reportedly broke up the band in 2013. However, they managed to work through them for a reunion in 2019.
* CreatorBacklash: They said in an interview for ''Big Top 40'' that they have some songs they don't look back too fondly on. One specific song is "Don't Charge Me For the Crime" from their 4th album.
** Kevin and Nick also don't look back on at least season 2 of ''Jonas'' that fondly, since they see it as something that was holding them back from progressing as a band.
* CreatorBreakdown: "A Little Bit Longer", "Black Keys", "Paranoid" and "Take a Breath". There are a few others that can be interpreted as this.
* CreatorCouple: Kevin and Nick's wives Danielle Jonas and Creator/PriyankaChopra and Joe's then-fiancee Creator/SophieTurner appear in the music videos for "Sucker" and "What A Man Gotta Do".
* LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition: ''Jonas Brothers: Bonus Jonas Edition''. It had a copy of their New York City concert, three music videos ("Hold On", "S.O.S.", and "Year 3000"), a live performance of "Kids of the Future", and an extra two songs ("We Got the Party" and "Take a Breath"), on top of the 14 songs on the original album.
* OldShame: Their memories on the sitcom ''Series/{{Jonas}}'' are not favorable. The 2019 documentary ''Chasing Happiness'' has them outright state that the show was bad.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: The band didn't have a good relationship with Sony, who consistently delayed and pushed back their debut album ''It's About Time'', then quietly released it without any promotion and dumped the band when it inevitably didn't sell well. They then deleted the album, causing it to go out of print and fetch high prices on secondhand websites. This is why the band then went on with Creator/{{Disney}}; their music was promoted frequently on Creator/DisneyChannel anyway, so it was clear to them they'd promote and treat them well (and [[CashCowFranchise indeed they did]]). Although, years later, their first album under Sony ''is'' on digital platforms ''and'' is currently available to buy on vinyl and CD shows that Sony have reneged on that decision.
* ProductionPosse: Anything with them in it will also feature their little brother Frankie and their bodyguard Big Rob.
