For example, Captain Witterel was stated to have lived in Cornwall.

15	** The Obra Dinn is modeled on the real-life HMS Leopard, though scaled down in size, weight, and crew number (the HMS Leopard had 350 men in its crew, not 51). It wasn't designed to be a perfect copy, but with many variations and styles, externally and internally, taken from other ships and ship-types of that era.
16	** The ship originally departed from London and added cargo in Falmouth. Therefore, the ship is really underway when the first death occurs. This bears up when putting the clues together, as the first picture the artist drew with everyone aboard was titled "Under Way", yet the first death happened while loading cargo, which would only happen if the cargo were loaded after the ship set sail.
