* CrossdressingVoices: The triplets have become teens, but like in ''Westernanimation/DuckTales1987'' are still voiced by women (though three instead of a single one).
* FollowTheLeader: This was an obvious attempt to replicate the success of Disney's other duck based cartoons, ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck'', while expanding on the "90s Kids" trends introduced in ''WesternAnimation/GoofTroop''.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Six episodes were released on VHS, and three more on DVD. Otherwise, the rest of the show was kind of hard to come by until ''Quack Pack'' was added to Creator/DisneyPlus.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Due to having different personalities, Jeannie Elias, Creator/ElizabethDaily, and Creator/PamelaAdlon replace Creator/RussiTaylor as Huey, Dewey, and Louie for this series.
** Creator/KathSoucie replaces Patricia Parris (the voice of Daisy for many 1980s projects) as the voice of Daisy Duck for this series.
** For some unexplained reason, the Latin American Spanish dub was dubbed in Los Angeles, rather than Mexico unlike ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales1987'' for Donald, his nephews and Daisy; also, this is was one of the last Disney-produced series dubbed in Spanish in the U.S. before moving all the dubbing to either Mexico or Argentina.
** In the Japanese dub, Creator/ChikaSakamoto voiced [[ActingForTwo Huey, Dewey and Louie]], replacing all their respective voice actresses who dubbed them in both ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales1987'' and previous shorts. Likewise, Creator/MikaDoi became Daisy's current voice actress since this show onwards, replacing her previous voice actress Creator/ErikoHara.
* TroubledProduction: Not as bad as some, but according to an ASIFA interview with Kurt Anderson (one of two directors on the series), it was a stressful show to work on. Part of the reason was they were too many cooks in the kitchen, so things took longer than they should have on a TV production schedule (the show was in production as early as 1993, which explains why a brief clip appears in an early episode of ''WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}}''). As this was Kurt's first directorial job, it was definitely a learning experience.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: One of the discarded concepts for the show was for it to be an actual sequel to ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'', with Donald taking the nephews back from Scrooge in the pilot episode. However, it was decided that the show should follow the cartoons in spirit rather than the comic books, hence all the human characters, the emphasis on slapstick and the absence of characters that originated in the comics.
* WorkingTitle: Was going to be "Duck Daze." There are relics of this in the lyrics of the opening.
