While the creators of the Heidi anime weren't too fond of this, the episode was popular with people that liked Heidi in their childhoods.
9	** The arcade game ''VideoGame/{{Frogger}}'' uses a part of the opening theme[[note]]Specifically, the second yodeling part.[[/note]] as one of the little jingles that play when the player gets a frog to one of the homes at the top of the screen.[[note]]Aside from the 1975 edited compilation movie, this is the closest the show had ever come to being brought to the U.S.[[/note]]
10	** The Italian dub of the 1977 Creator/ToeiAnimation feature film ''Sekai Meisaku Douwa: Hakuchou no Ouji'' (an anime version of ''Animation/TheWildSwans'') renames the heroine, Elisa, as Heidi, likely because she bears a very strong resemblance to the TV anime version of Heidi.
