* AdoredByTheNetwork: Despite the almost ubiquitous criticism the show received for it's VulgarHumor, it was renewed twice due to the show performing rather well for an animated series on Creator/ComedyCentral, especially once ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' ended.
* ChannelHop: Before it premiered it was sent to Fox ([[note]]and was rejected for being "too offensive"[[/note]]), Comedy Central ([[note]]the network wanted a pitch pilot, but refused and took it to another network[[/note]]), Adult Swim ([[note]]who was actually interested from the beginning and was set to buy the series[[/note]]), and back to Comedy Central. ([[note]]who quickly swifted in and bought the series before Adult Swim could[[/note]]).
* ConclusionInAnotherMedium: The four-issue miniseries by Creator/DynamiteComics serves as the conclusion to the series.
* CrossDressingVoice: Despite her being female, Connie is voiced by Roger Black, who's a guy.
* DeletedScenes: Several examples.
** "Obamascare" was [[https://m.facebook.com/brickleberry/videos/629767790468127/ originally going to have a scene]] involving Denzel and Malloy doing [[BuffySpeak "security" thingies]] for Woody's ceremony.
** [[https://m.facebook.com/brickleberry/videos/648108585300714/ There was originally going to be a scene]] in "In Da Club" involving Steve and Denzel sassing each other before the Founder's Day Tournament begins.
** In "That Brother's My Father", [[https://m.facebook.com/brickleberry/videos/644756465635926/ initially was going to have a scene]] in which a couple old people [[MistakenAge mistake Woody for a kid]].
* TheOtherDarrin: In Season 1, Creator/KaitlinOlson voiced Ethel. In Season 2, she was replaced with Natasha Leggero.
* PlayingAgainstType: Woody is much more vulgar than Creator/TomKenny's usual roles (usually he plays cheery goofballs and comically serious authoritative types in fare that's rated G to PG-13[[note]]or TV-14 if it's a TV show[[/note]]). His supporting roles (such as Dr. Kuzniak, which actually is similar to that one time he played Dr. Fist on ''WesternAnimation/TheClevelandShow'', but Dr. Fist is not like Dr. Kuzniak) are just as vulgar.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Like ''Futurama'', it was not renewed for another season possibly as a result of disagreements between Comedy Central and [[Creator/TwentiethCenturyStudios 20th Century Fox]] over continuing the show.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Several cases.
** The series was pitched to Fox in 2007, but was rejected for being "too offensive", although [[Creator/TwentiethCenturyStudios its studio]] did end up producing and owning the rights to the series. It was also pitched to Adult Swim, where it came very close to premiering there.
** A DeletedScene from [[https://m.facebook.com/brickleberry/videos/648108585300714/ "In Da Club"]] reveals that, during the Founder's Day Tournament, Steve was initially supposed to wear a red shirt. In the episode, however, it's pink instead.
