This movie isn't pretty well-received, considering this is Disney’s first CGI-animated film. But it has genuinely tearjerking and heartbreaking moments.
----
* The titular character himself, he is ridiculed and made a complete pariah for an ''entire year,'' just for mistaking an acorn for a sky piece. Considering how he is looked down upon by the townsfolk and laughed at by the students at his school, you can’t help but feel very sorry for him.
** When they started ''developing a movie about the incident''. Imagine your child making a simple mistake that caused everyone a panic attack, only to make a film out of said event to point out how much a fool your kid is, ''including you''.
* The entire scene with Chicken Little and his father, Buck Cluck, driving home.
** Chicken Little wishing to follow in his father Buck's footsteps as a baseball star, but Buck tells him not to set his hopes so high. It's sadder than it sounds.
** Buck looking at a frame of his family that had Chloe Cluck, his recently deceased wife, and saying if only she was still alive, she’d know what to do with Chicken.
*** This is even sadder since her passing seems to be relatively recent, as the family photograph has Chicken Little and Buck looking the same age they are in the film's present day. This might possibly explain why Chicken Little and Buck Cluck’s relationship is so separate.
** Later on, Chicken Little looking at a father dog playing with his son. He just wants his father to be proud of him and he feels he will never be good enough to him. This is pretty much awful to any kid who wanted to be appreciated by their parents. [[MoodWhiplash Cue baseball montage with upbeat music]].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IanZD91PoY The song, "All I Know" by Five For Fighting]] also doesn't help matters. Just listen to the lyrics and music altogether.
--->''I bruise you\
You bruise me\
We both bruise so easily\
Too easily to let it show\
I love you and that's all I know''
* After C.L. rings the school bell for the second time to alert the whole town about the aliens invading. Unfortunately, the ship goes back to camouflage mode, and no one believes him, not even Buck, who finally appreciated his son after the Acorns baseball team won.
** It's very easy to interpret Buck as a jerk for this, but there's another heartbreaking implication. Namely, Buck's expression is a heartbroken, apologetic one, making his "No son, I don't" line seem more like he actually means "Sorry son, I can't" rather than shooting the chance of the truth down.
** There's also the way he looks at the disapproving frowns of the townspeople. It's as if he ''wants'' to believe Chicken Little, but is too afraid to do so without becoming a social outcast like his son has.
* When Abby gets hit by Foxy Loxy, Chicken Little says this when he stands up to her before she commands Goosey Loosey to fling him to the gym’s window:
-->'''Chicken Little:''' Prepare to hurt, and I don't mean emotionally like I do!
* The very brief moment everyone has when it looks like Chicken Little struck out at the game. Everyone is saddened and disappointed. Makes one wonder what they would've done and/or said if they really had lost.
* Kirby getting left behind by his parents and breaking down in tears. He follows Chicken Little home after recognizing him from the ship and still is scared to no end until Chicken Little helps him calm down. Keep in mind, Kirby is a baby/kid. For Kirby, he believes his parents abandoned him and he can't go back, now he has no choice but to follow Chicken Little who’s in a melancholic state because he doesn't have anyone else to run to. Is it any wonder he starts crying and screaming after meeting Chicken Little?
** Pretty much any time Kirby cries or gets scared is heartbreaking. He is a little kid who is lost in a strange and unfamiliar environment and [[IWantMyMommy wants his parents]].
* Abby, Fish, and Runt go to comfort Chicken Little after the townspeople don't believe him for the ''second time'', but to no avail. Runt even starts crying, as the friends decide to leave and give him some space.
* A sad moment during the alien invasion, Buck has chased down his son so that they can escape the town as it's being overrun, but Chicken Little interrupts him with an explanation of how they can stop the AlienInvasion. Buck, understandably confused by the abruptness and his son's MotorMouth, covers it. Chicken Little then yanks his hand away and says bitterly:
-->'''Chicken Little:''' [[WhamLine Forget it. You wouldn't believe me anyway.]]
** As he runs off to save Kirby into the chaotic danger zone the town has become, Buck yells after him. It's understandable with [[ParentalNeglect what's been happening the whole movie]], but it ''is'' possible to feel sorry for both of the characters.
-->'''Buck''': Son? Son! ''[[SayMyName Chicken Little!]]''
* A few deleted scenes from both the final version and scrapped version showed genuinely heartwarming and emotional moments, giving us a break from the film’s wild nature.
** [[https://youtu.be/Gf3gyzMnR1o One deleted scene]] where Buck wants his kid (who’s a girl in this version) to be normal like everyone else, [[RightBehindMe he finds out that Chicken has been listening to him]] when she got home. C. Little then walks into her room, upset, only for her mother (who’s alive in this version) to smack Buck in the face. It does get better later on.
--->'''Buck:''' Look! All I want is to have a regular life like everyone else! A regular kid like everyone else! WE ONLY GOT ONE KID! ''WHY CAN'T SHE BE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?!''
** Buck Cluck explaining that he still cares for Chicken Little but every time he tries to console her or go near her, she mistakes him for a paranormal creature and accidentally puts him in dangerous and embarrassing situations. This also explains why his relationship with Chicken Little is distant and why he’s embarrassed by her.
** In another deleted scene, Buck accidentally mutters to himself that Chicken Little really is crazy, while a reporter is standing right behind him with a microphone. As soon as he says it, he immediately realizes what he said and panics, yelling at the reporter to stop recording him. Then, cut to both Chicken Little and Buck watching that clip on television. Even worse, this is right after they were having a bonding moment with Buck trying to make his son breakfast from a cooking show.
--->'''Chicken Little''': ''(quietly)'' I, uh...I hadn't seen that last clip before.\
